Love the episode where the Baroness goes to Gung-Ho’s family’s house to get revenge and they capture all her troops and try to feed her Gumbo! So funny!

Duke and Gung Ho were always my favorite G. I. Joes but Gung ho was always one of the many reasons why I love Marines and I joined the Corps my self. OOORAH

The toughest marine of the Joes next to Sgt. Slaughter always thought in Stone Cold as the live version of the character

@@easygrin1127 to me personally Gung Ho was always for real in the comics, cartoons and of course action figure form, like everybody else. The sergeant although highly regarded and super awesome represented to me a real life person who could not live up to the fantasy of the baby blue vest chest tattoo wearing cajun grenade launching too big back pack wearing food preparation expert...what's not to like?

Funny story, my grandfather was in the pacific theater of WW2, I remember I couldn't play with GI Joes in front of him because one time I did and he got very upset and said: "GI Joe is a God Damn wimp!" and he specifically called my Gung Ho figure a "tattooed homosexual". My mother never wanted him to get upset, so I could only bring my Centurions...but I only had the green one.

Who is Gung Ho ? The toughest Marine of all time and my favorite G.I. Joe hands down. My son was old enough for the 25th anniversary line and he was one of the first he got. Gung Ho 25th is now on display along with Scarface and Kwinn above the kitchen sink much to my wifes chagrin.
I loved his marine dress uniform figure. I think i still have it lol. I'd like to request Crazy Legs!

Gung-Ho had to fight Guile in "Street Fighter/G.I.Joe." --Although putting up a semi-respectable fight (Gung-Ho eventually pulled a knife and sliced Guile's arm,) Guile defeated Gung-Ho with a "flash-kick."

He got his ear shot off in the World War 3 arc in the devils due run and his quote. After taking out Cobra immortal was: ‘Luckily Marines only need ONE ear!’

Gung Ho was actually a Chinese term that meant work together, When the Marines were stationed in China pre WWII they worked with Chinese resistance fighters during their Civil War

There is a Lafitte, Louisiana.
No other Joe hails from a fictional birthplace.
Fer-de-Lance translates to "of the spear".
