I opened 3 mythics in my pre-release as well as a fetchland- I can say that the variance on these boxes are going to be astronomically high

these play boxes are a big gamble, the fetch count seems 2-4 per box which is underwhelming, and with so many junky commander cards taking up ancillary rare slots in the packs it's even worse. Hope the 3 titans and necrodomo plus the flares hold up.

I mean, sure you get 15 Mythics in a Thunder Junction collector's box. But 12 of them are worth $1. I'd rather pull 4 fetch lands and Ulamog + Necrodominance than a bunch of $1-$3 fake Mythics from the Big Score. You're always going to lose some money opening sealed product, prices of cards will go down due to the new and massive supply. If each box had 8-10 fetch lands then fetch lands would be worth 6-8 instead of $10-15.
The EV of a OTJ play box is like $80 now. Yet people are still willing to pay $120 just because you can get a bunch of bulk Rares and Mythics in them. People don't seem to want value, they just want the Mythic/Rare count to be high. Which is why the Big Score is so successful, because they just printed all the cards as 'Mythic' even though if they were in an aftermath set as intended, only 1/4 of those cards would be Mythic. If you open a OTJ set and you get 7 BIG Mythics, just remember in reality you got 1 actual Mythic and 6 Rares and uncommons.

Well, Wizards has done it again with high prices, bad card quality, and not a lot of value. This is the 3rd box opening where the value sucked. This set has a lot of very good cards but a lot of them have already tanked in price. There are over 30 cards that have some high prices but what will they be worth after 3 or 4 weeks from now. Wizards continues to reprint cards where a $30.00 card like Training Grounds is now $2.50. They are ruining the collectability of the cards on the secondary market. Wizards will be printing a lot of MH3 just like MH2. My sons and I used to buy cases of sealed boxes but we stopped that. I skipped buying boxes for Ravnica Remastered, Karlov Manor, Fallout, Thunder Junction, and MH3. Thank you for the video.

Wow. That box was TERRIBLE!!! This is probably what most boxes bought by regular people will get as opposed to the seeded high quality boxes sent to content creators early on. You cannot spend that amount of money and get that poor quality. If I get a box like that I will NEVER buy a box of MTG again!
