The album is a masterpiece..
It, really fukin is...
100%
I think the same
100% agree
This album as a whole really makes you think. People who can't grasp it aren't as fucked up in the mind as us 😅
It becomes very difficult for me to choose a favorite song. The album works perfectly as a whole, what's more, apart from the singles I never listened to separate songs. The most daring, beautiful and unexpected record of recent years.
10/10
Completely agree. It works really well as a cohesive work.
Best song on the album for sure!
Mattel would like a word with you 😉
@@RayofLightFilmsgame over would like a word with you
The musicianship is top notch, but it is the compositional component that legitimately makes it progressive. Loved it!
Brooks Wackerman is the younger brother of famous jazz fusion drummer Chad who has played with Zappa and Alan Holdsworth among many others…
Yep. Very talented family.
I mean.. .Think about it . He has a built in stage name. WACKERMAN.. A drummer
😂
thanks, good reaction. It would be better that we see you in bigger side of screen cause we're watching your reaction. Thanks again.
Right on. I thought the same thing watching it back. This was the first time using a new software, so I’ll fix that next time. Thanks for watching!
It’s taken a few listens to truly appreciate this album but now I’m just really digging most of it. I wish they didn’t do the vocoder vocals though in a few tracks lol.
Best songs IMO are Mattel, Cosmic and G.
I agree with those selections. I love Mattel in particular. It was between it and "Cosmic" for this video.
The general consensus for me and my friends are that every track rules except Easier which is just kinda there.
@@jcselementEasier is sandwiched between two of the better tracks on the album, so that doesn’t help. But, I do dig the “Hendrix” guitar at the end.
@@jcselement The heavy drops in Easier are pretty sweet, too.
(O)rdinary is my "guilty" pleasure, it sounds nothing like them but the musicianship is there in spades regardless.
You just cannot rename Brooks Wackerman. He played about 15 years in Bad Religion and has his own name up there already
Masterpiece ✨
Dude I loved listening to you speak about this track! If you’re into the artwork, you should check out their podcast (TRAX) episode with Wes Lang, the artist behind the pieces in the visualizer. The music was influencing the paintings and the paintings were influencing the music as the album was being written and produced over the course of 5 years. Really cool dynamic.
The lyrics are so exoteric intend is like they are masons and now about that school like Dream Theater A Rite Passage or Allan Parsons The Eye of the Sky since the past away of Rev drummer and the album Hail the King they have change into some kind of mystical evolution is a great band that got a lot of good music for the future for us all
🥰🎶🤟
That's a vocoder, not autotune
I think listening to a song for the first time without a headphone and while talking is not the best way to get a reliable opinion of it imho
intro song? great reaction btw
Thanks! I can't remember the name of the band that does the intro, but Roie knows. Roie?

I think the album is brilliant! I knew right away it would be very polarizing though. Got my vinyl a day early and was just blown away by what they put together. Still A7X, no doubt about it, but it is their most progressive album to date and that is a good thing. They can do it all it seems. I have always said they do Metallica better than Metallica ever did, I heard System of a Down (first song), Alice in Chains, and a few others escaping my memory right now.
I don’t know if I agree that they do Metallica better than Metallica. These days maybe. But, I do agree it’s a great and very eclectic album. Influences galore.
its chad wackerman younger brother bruhhh haha
It's definitely my favourite song of this album, but picking this one as "the most proggy of the album" feels wrong to me. It's the most classical A7X song on the album ,"We love you, Mattel, Nobody or even Beautifull morning are much more prog than this.
Still a pleasure to hear Cosmic with you tho ;-)
And there you have it folks: 5-MeO-DMT is good for you lol
Guns and roses lmmfao only thing good bout guns and roses is slash
Song is very disjointed at times, like everybody's playing something different. I need an aspirin.
