For years I used Philosophy when hope not enough serum and moisturizer. And loved it. But I can no longer afford it. Would love to find something that close to it to use. @@harrytrutt1742 You can't use copper peptides with acids like vitamin C, lactic acid and retinoids. Acids in the AM and copper peptides in the PM is the rule. However, I'd like to know when NON-copper peptides can be used if I'm using Vitamin C+E Ferulic and 10% Lactic Acid in the morning and Naturium .05 Retinaldehyde in evening.

Happy Mothers Days Kimberly. As you was doing your skincare, I was wondering what you had changed and added to your routines. Your complexion looks so very smooth and yep, glass like. I’ve been using Medic8 Crystalized Retinaldhyde, I started with strength 6 x 2 tubes and graduated to their strength 10. and it’s transforming my soon to be 63 skin in the same way. I am on my 3rd tube, plus I do use Tret 0.05%. Ito have found that medical grade skincare works soooo much better. Great video Kimberly. Thank you so much.

Kimberly, I remember when you mentioned the Evan retinal a couple of weeks ago and I was trying to find that video and I wanted to buy the product because they’ve been having lots of sales so I’m glad you posted this again today and clarified very clearly the product. I bought the ordinary and I wasn’t that impressed with that one but thank you again for doing this as your favorites.

I noticed you put most of these on your eyelids, too. I have usually only put eye cream on them but now I think I need to put my products for firming and lifting on there, too. Mine are pretty droopy and crepey!
Oh and the order confuses me sometimes, too. I’ve just usually gone from thinnest to thickest for application since I use products from different places.
When I try to use any actives on my eyelids they always get irritated. 😒
I put all my products on my eyelids, even my tretinoin. The key is to start with small amounts & work your way up:). If your eyelids get irritated, put some castor oil on them & you’ll be good to go!

Love the insvisicrepe and try to get it on specials. I also will try the Avene for my "off" days with tretinoin. I find it too drying now.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Beta Glucan moisturizer. It works very well for a small price. I thought I got it for $14 last time. It lasts a long time too.

You really need to try the sleeping serum by dermelect in place of your bha/aha serum. Its so much more of a better brighter exfoliation than the ordinary one. Truely one use and you will see a big differece in your skin. Its amazing.

Interestingly, the Avene retinAL is not available on the Canadian Amazon site, but it if were it would cost about $150 so I'm not sure I would want to spend that much.

The Avene Retrinal is .11%, and it looks like the G&G A-Game is .05% retinaldehyde, so is it really stronger? I would also love to find a less expensive replacement for the Avene.

I was like hold on, in what order do I use these products and do I really need all of these??!!?? I have 5 small bottles like you just showed us and she told me I’d have to go to the Ordinary website to see what order to use them. 😳. I couldn’t believe it when I went to the site. I still don’t know what goes when!!!
General rule is watery serums first, then apply thicker ones, then creams and oils.

I just started Naturium every other day on face and neck in PM and so far so good after a few weeks. I had tried the Avene only on my neck and it made my neck raw and gave me wrinkles which I still have. I only used it every other day for less than two weeks. I'm assuming it's stronger than .05 Naturium.

Nothing to do with skin care products, but what brand of dandelion tea do you drink?
I bought the ordinary copper peptide serum it stays absolutely sticky on me. It never dries down. I’m 77. I have wrinkles and I realized that my skin looked worse using the peptides. I love and use a number of the ordinary products but not this one anymore.
Take beta 1,3 glucans internally as a dietary supplement, a capsule, empty stomach, every day. Great for your immune system. Especially in the winter months. You can skip a day every now and then. A few reputable companies make it in either a 250 mg or 500 mg capsule. Good stuff. 😊🌞 Happy Mothers day, Kimberly. 💐
I ❤ DRMTLGY Needleless serum & IUNIK beta-glucan moisturizer!! However I do wonder why the Needleless serum doesn’t have a blue tinge too it if it contains copper. I just ordered Rob’s (Mad about Skin) new copper peptide serum. The copper peptides are encapsulated (so no worries using it w/ other actives) & it contains the 2 Matrixyl peptides. It has 3% copper peptides & 20% total of peptides. Plus it’s under $22. Can’t wait to try it! Also trying his retinAL (@0.05%) serum called Ultimate Anti-Aging oil. My skin reacts to retinol by flaking/peeling. New studies are showing better results w/ retinAL (also w/ less irritation) vs. retinols.

I am still confused on where to put retinal and copper peptides in my skincare routine. How do you use both?
I've used both The Ordinary's multi-peptide plus copper (used to be Buffet plus copper) with retinol products or Differin (adapaline) at night at the same time without any problem. Retinol, retinaldehyde (what's in the Avene serum), and adapalene are in the same family and have the same application guidelines as far as I know. As best I can figure it out as a consumer, the concern over using them at the same time as a copper peptide product is possibly increased irritation. That didn't happen to me.
I only used my retinol or the Differin three or four times a week (I stop over the summer), because otherwise they are too drying for me and my skin will start to feel slightly irritated. At first, I used The Ordinary's serum on the non-retinol/Differin nights. I gradually started working it into every night and had no irritation.
I don't know what retinaldehyde and what preparation with copper peptides you're considering, but as far as order goes, as long as they're both in serums, I usually follow the thinest to thickest order.
Please understand that I am no expert. I'm only answering because no one else seems to have contributed to your question and I have done this myself. I don't usually like to mention other channels in a comment, but Hot&Flashy did a video in the past few months specifically on combining copper peptides with other things. You might find that one interesting.

Can you help please? I really want to use copper peptides, but also want to use Vit C and retinaldehyde. I’ve heard you should not use Vit C at the same time as copper peptides because it would make Vit C ineffective? Can you use it before retinaldehyde at night? If you are sensitive to smell, City Beauty Body Balm is very challenging! The smell is strong when you put it on, and it does not dissipate over the day! You are stuck with that strong smell, it’s not pleasant. I tried washing it off, but the smell lingers on.
I respectfully disagree, the scent dissipates pretty quickly for me and I am highly sensitive to most frangraces.
I’m happy for you Kim Vidaure, it appears you’re not as sensitive to fragrance like I am. It could be I received an overly fragrant batch, who knows! Everyone should be aware of the possibility before they spend so much money.
If you only like unscented, I can see why you don't like Invisicrepe. Smells like a mild fruity floral. Certain fragrances, like coconut or vanilla, make me nauseous.
To confirm, I am only sensitive to ‘synthetic’ fragrance like in the Body Balm, that’s all I’ve tried from this company. I adore the smells in nature, fresh cut grass, orange blossoms, etc and all natural oils. I do not have allergies, it’s the ‘synthetic’ smell in this product which is overwhelming. Friends of mine, with the same concerns to synthetic fragrance, agree with me on this product! I was sharing my experience, and concern for others before spending the money. Check out the ingredients, it lists ‘fragrance’…who knows what synthetic stuff they added. In retrospect, I should have read the ingredients but I use many products that Kimberly recommends and I never had this issue with ‘synthetic’ fragrance.
