I purchased WTF, face pencil, lip and cheek stick, bronzing powder, and translucent powder. I watched videos of Bobbi applying these products on others. For WTF she used it sparingly where needed and used her fingers to spread the foundation over the skin. She used generous amounts of face pencil where needed and tapped it in with her fingers. I started with moisturized and sunscreend skin. I applied WTF sparingly, and face pencil generously where needed. I put the lip and cheek stick on by swiping it on my cheeks and tapping it in with my fingers. The only thing I used a brush for was the bronzing powder. I did not notice any stickiness or tackiness at all, so I didn't even use the translucent powder. My makeup was beautiful, and it lasted all day. For reference I'm 43, have combination skin, and the skin around my eyes is very sensitive. My skin felt amazing with this makeup. I'm totally sold. I'm going to order the miracle balm next and try it out.
Im 57 and I have been using the Jones Road collection for the past year. I love it. I had to figure out how to use it. I came from the thought that I needed a full base of makeup then add all the color, contour, etc.. What I found is I dont. I use very little WTF just where i need to even out (its way less than I ever used with any other makeup), then use the concealer sticks for spots of coverage. I use the miracle balm just minimally for color, never on my entire face. The rest of the line is pretty much the same as I used to have powder or cream blush, eyeliner, mascara etc. What I had to get used to was not having a full base of makeup. What I love is how my skin feels hydrated all day and at night it doesnt feel like Ive got this mask on that I need to wash off. My skin has never looked better and I use a whole lot less makeup.
My personal review of your video is that you are accustom in using to much product. Less is more in this incident. When you applied "the blush", why so much?, why are you going that high? It wasn't blended at all. Looked clowness. I have 1 color balm as a try. Not to keen on the smell, but that's me.
Love Jones Road.
I received my Jones Road products 2 days ago. I am 70 years old with severely sun damaged discolored skin and a couple scars from skin cancer surgery. After watching your video I was so bummed I bought this product so I went back to Jones Road to watch how to apply WTFoundation and Miracle Balm. (I'm not trying to say you're wrong-I promise!) But I got completely different and very good result by applying a lot less foundation. I tapped it on w/a makeup brush & was surprised how well it covered! I then did my eye makeup routine followed by a light dusting of the light translucent powder after the foundation had set a few minutes. I was/am so pleased with how it looks and that I didn't waste my money after all! I'm not sure how it will work in summer months but it's fantastic now at the end of a cold day here in Oregon. I don't think I'll have issues with dry skin over the next couple months and next winter.
Also in Oregon, originally from Florida, and holy moly my skin misses humidity. I think that this would be fantastic in the winter and the bone dry hot summers. I'm 53 and I will try this very sparingly because I don't want to feel sticky. Thanks for your review.
Also an Oregonian… I wish they had this product in local stores. I could try one product - see if I like it and buy more if so. But… am nervous to buy after watching video. (Though I thought she looks radiant with the products she used. But if sticky feeling, I do t want that.)
@@T.R.27 Hi TR, I will see how the foundation works in summer also! If I don't use this foundation my other makeup looks very matted! And! have you tried Jones Road Oil facial cleanser? Also a fav of mine. So different, never thought of an oil as being a cleanser???? I have yet to see how long one tube of it lasts. Otherwise a great product.
Using a a light dusting of powder would be the way to go. Why don’t stores sell this makeup) for would like to see how it goes and n first.
I’m 67 with dry skin. This is the makeup line I’ve been waiting for all my life! Love love love it. It’s not your old goopy make up of yesterday. It’s natural and glowing. You do have to know how to use it. Do your research with the line. It’s not for full coverage. It’s not if you like the mat look. It’s not for the mask look.
So interesting. The foundation and balm work great for me. It's tacky for a few minutes, then I touch with a bit of her bronzer and I love it.
I like it there is a learning curve to using it
Huge thanks for this honest review❣️ I’m 73 and because powdery makeup settles in my wrinkles I thought maybe this was a solution. Funny, I’ve been watching reviews last few days on this product for a solution. I’ll pass on further consideration. Your report was the first person to be so honest. You’ve saved me $$$. 🥰
It’s great , try it, they hve a 30 day money back.
@Vickiboe592 - same here! I’m 53 yo and using Laura Geller. I don’t HATE it, but looking for something that won’t set into my wrinkles without having to secondarily “rub it out”! Maybe THAT is BOTOX! I’m using everything from PREP-H 😂 to various Ordinary products, and PIXI, to no avail! 😬
I have to disagree with this review. I have been using Jones Road products for a year now. I am 70. This product is wonderful, from the Miracle Balm to many other, WTF foundation, I have bought two colors, face sticks, mascara, eye liner pencils, 2 colors, cheeks and lips, 2 cream eye shadows, face powders. Everyday I am using some form of combination and I love the results.
I will say the way Bobbi Brown conveys her vision for makeup, especially for well seasoned individuals like you and me, was the attraction. I wanted something that would even out my complexion and just let me look like a better version of me. I am not interested in looking all made up to do the grocery shopping. But, look better?…
This “young lady” that did this video seems to have used too much balm. I will agree that the initial feeling after applying the MB is a little tacky, but if applied right the balm does absorb and it provides that improved look while not looking like makeup has been applied.
When I apply Flushed MB to my cheeks it subdues and looks like nothing is there but look in the mirror and you will see a lovely glow… For what it’s worth, I have a long term review as a woman with no agenda except to have the best quality products on my skin while getting the results I am looking for. Do I use other brands? Of course. But, I have not been disappointed with JRB and will continue to buy their products.
@@dianecastagna281
I am currently using Laura Geller as well. I just ordered Jones Road , two balms and foundation. I am anxious to try them. I just watched another influencer and she loved the products and she looked fantastic. 🤞
@@dianecastagna281 I like using Au Natural miracle balm, but find I still have to use my Mally primer so my foundation doesn't settle into the wrinkles. The balm does make my foundation last longer.
I almost bought this line as I prefer a lighter foundation. After this review I think I will pass. I don’t want to deal with makeup on clothes. Thank you!
Well I thought the same I have a few items lip liner etc but no big deal I really wanted to try that foundation balm but even the founder on a infomercial while putting it on asks the team does my face look too greasy ? That was a huge red flag 🚩
A grease 💣 Love her ❤
It’s doesn’t get on clothes. I have it.
I am not a makeup person. I live on farm and work outside and I love this product as I don’t want a bunch of makeup , but I want a little something to even out my skin, but look natural. It doesn’t stay sticky for me and it makes my skin feel great! My skin is normal. Maybe it makes a difference? I am 53.
I sure appreciate the honesty. I've wondered why it looked so greasy on everyone yet was described as luminous. Thanks for the great review. You just saved me hundreds!
Yes, I agree it looks greasy
I actually love the WTFoundation and Balms. It works for me.
I absolutely love this makeup line . It gives me what I have been looking for it is not at all greasy unless I put to much on. I have normal skin and I love this . I believe just like any other product it depends on what type of coverage you are looking for .
I agree! Miracle Balm is a sticky mess!! As well as rancid. The WTF is terrible. Oily to a fault. Thanks for reassuring me. I was about to give it another try!
I agree; the “scent” is like rancid oil.
I am 65 with dry skin and I have loved the miracle balm and WTF. I use a very light application of miracle balm all over my face and find it gives my skin (which can sometimes look washed out)
a nice, subtle wash of color. I follow with the WTF in Medium, face pencils as concealer ( shade 8 and 15) then the cream blush. After using these products for several months my skin has improved in texture and appearance - much more moisturized. I find the product settles in on my skin and I don't have the tacky feel, but I can see where skin that is oilier may have an issue with this as the product is very hydrating. I also love the mascara and the Best Eyeshadows - lovely colors! Jones Road is now one of my personal go-to's. Love your channel, appreciate your honest
reviews, but in this case I think you're forgetting we're all different and this works for some of us.
I love it as well
@@colleendavis8934 Me too!!!! LOVE Miracle Balm!!!!
I love it too. I have dry skin and it is wonderful for me
Thank you for your opinion expressing your own experience. It’s nice to have more than one review. I agree with your comment… We are all different.P
Very curious about using the face pencils over the miracle balm. Does the oil in the miracle balm prevent the concealer for staying in place? Do you use any powder over the miracle balm? @klondike32258
Jones Road is so different than regular makeup. I personally feel odd in a regular foundation. I am generally a no-makeup girl so Jones Road works for me. I am almost 60 and I add balm on top of the WTF foundation. My personal fav is the Bronze balm. I do believe it is an adjustment with the feel of it and may take time to adjust from just about anything you use. I started with a few items and will look forward to adding more makeup items. There is a powder but I add it only sometimes. Personally, I think Kimberly looks very "Pretty" in the makeup!! I honor all your opinions, especially Kimberly's opinion! Wish everyone the best no matter which makeup!!
me too. I think that she looks very pretty. As a matter of fact, I watched this review WITHOUT the sound, and I was thinking she loved it until I started reading these comments. I LOVE the Jones Road line. I am 60 now and my skin is not the skin I had even 5 years ago. This line is Just Right for me ❤🌹
People forget every one's skin is different and some need more coverage than others, but personally I hate anything that feels tacky on my face, I prefer it to dry as soon as it's blended, so it doesn't sound like the product for me, but if it works for you, that's great.... I like Kimberleys opinions though, I think my skin is more like hers. 👍
I totally agree about the sticky feeling of this makeup line: I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it will feel during a Florida summer!
I need the moisture but hate the sticky. I use it under a powder foundation and it’s perfect! I’m 62 with dry skin. I use Au Naturel over sunscreen as a primer, then powder foundation. I get a perfect finish with just a hint of moisture and the powder doesn’t shift into the lines. It has improved my skin condition with regular wear.
Thank you for your honest opinion for the products. I have been using the Miracle Balm Tawny, Happy Hour and concealer pencil over CC cream. I am 62 and they do not cover my wrinkles and dark spots but those products are not for the full coverage. They are not powder finish neither. Feels like a moisturizer on my face all day long and I like it better than having a dry, cakey, or powdery finish. My husband told me my skin looks healthier with the products in my face. I am sorry they didn’t work for you.
I actually love WTF and miracle balm. I have dry skin and have never liked wearing a bunch of make up. I hate most foundation as it just completely covers your skin. I have had great results and love it. I would not use so many products but I thought you looked very natural and your skin looked healthy.
I am truly amazed by your review! I am 58 and I have been using Jones Road and I have never looked better!! I get tons of compliments using these products with a light touch of It cosmetics powder in my t-zone .
I think you might need more coverage.. so you used way too much product.
Used sparingly.. in only targeted areas.. these products are absolutely fabulous!
Thank you for your review. I would like to try the foundation and wish they had small sample sizes to purchase.
Just tried the Miracle Balm as a makeup base. I put the Flushed color all over my face and then applied my Dior Forever and EL Double Wear combo over it. Holy Smokes, what a gorgeous, youthful look! I’m over 70 and hate both a shiny face and a heavy matte look, so this is the perfect combo for me. As bright as the Flushed color is, it’s perfect under neutral foundation. Thanks to your thorough review, it’s clear that either the Miracle Balm or the foundation could work for me, but definitely not both. Very helpful review.
I love the Flushed colour as well. I havnt tried it under nake up so will give it a go
I must tell you that your makeup in this video looks beautiful. I love a glowy makeup look. I think you look natural and younger. I know you use face powder (which I don’t) have u tried powder after WTF? I think your skin looks beautiful. I usually agree with you, but I must say the love the WTF!
Just turned 67. Just started wearing foundation about two years ago. I purchased Jones Road about a year ago. I love it. My dry mature skin loves it. The WTF is great skincare. I like the miracle balm for no make up days. Wtf is best applied with fingers. Most people apply too much. I apply similar to Seint. Then I use the Stan’s out sponge to tap in product. My dry skin loves it. Love the mascara. Pencils ok. Powder eyeshadows are nice.
Same age as you & love Jones Road. I think she used to much product.
@@Joy80JJ It is easy to use too much. I made that mistake. When I first tried Seint, I over applied. It’s a totally different technique than regular foundation. I didn’t see Kimberly use powder , a product I don’t wear. Kimberly usually applies setting powder. Personally I thought it looked great, very natural and glowy. That’s what I want in a foundation.
(59 yo) I'm having great luck with Nikol Johnson's makeup (BB cream, color corrector). It's designed for mature women and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.
omg, yes! I agree about the sticky greasy mess! I kept wondering what I was doing wrong because I thought this was such a special splurge.
I see most reviews say the say thing, "a greasy mess".
I, so appreciate your honesty about this product line. At our age, we want products that work and are reasonably priced.
Thank you so much for your honest review of the Jones Road Beauty line. I thought it was ME! I felt like this stuff was going to slide off my face and it was beyond sticky. Never was I more disappointed with a makeup line, and believe me, I've tried many. Thank you AGAIN!!!!
It is not for everyone, nothing is, but I absolutely love it. I'm 51 and It is the best makeup I've ever tried. I did learn that less is more and I don't feel the tackiness. I also love the colors. I am very picky about colors and I found these to be exactly what I'm working for.
I'm sure you can return all of the products and get a refund.
@@nancyzuckerman9384 she just said she liked it. Why would she return it? 😊
I love the foundation, I haven’t tried anything else but the foundation gives me a lovely natural complexion, without the horrible makeup feeling. I have redness, scarring from an accident and it works beautifully. I do feel less is more with this product but I prefer it over some high end foundations.
I love the products. I have very dry skin and I love the moisture it provides I found less is more with the Jones Road. I don’t like to look like I have makeup on so this is a great product for me.
I have been trying to cancel.my order and can't reach anyone. I dont trust a return on this. They make it hard to be able to reach someone to talk to.I dont trust companies like thia. They make it were you almost have to keep this product that does not work for you.
Wow, the make up looked really good on you. Too bad you didn’t like it, because you look great. 😊
Thanks for giving us an honest review! I was considering buying this makeup line now I won’t waste my money! Again thanks 🙏!!
Beg to differ, I absolutely love theses products. I have very dry skin so that could be why.
Thank you for adding that. I could see where it would be helpful for dry skin. I sure wish they would sell samples… Try before you invest.
I recently bought several of the products. I don’t enjoy wearing foundation. But I actually really like wearing the WTF foundation. I have noticed I need to use very little though. It’s just enough coverage for me, and I use the sticks here and there for extra coverage. I found using the miracle balm was best used very sparingly together with the foundation, or it got too wet looking. Less is more for sure with these products. I enjoy the miracle balm on its own on days I don’t have much on. I just pat the natural one all over and add a little of the flushed balm on my cheeks and lips. It’s definitely ment to be used sparingly, unlike normal makeup. It reminds me a lot of Trinny London makeup line which I also love. I don’t feel like I wasted my money. One thing I would say is that the foundation packaging isn’t very travel friendly. It would get too messy. I still enjoyed your video and respect your opinion xx
I actually loved how it looked on you. It was more subtle than some of your other looks but certainly in line with the title of your channel. You look very pretty 😊 I have been using some of the products off and on for a few months. It’s taken some playing around with them, but now it’s very easy and quick. And it’s natural looking which is why I like it so much. I do use some powder, not a lot, but that helps reduce the tacky feel though my skin does feel different than with other foundation. I like the feeling though I totally get others may not. It’s also a less is more situation I think. As I played around, I realized I preferred how it looked and felt when I used less. Totally just my thoughts and experience. We are all different and what works for some doesn’t for others. Thanks for your review!
You are so right, this was like Crisco
I'm 66, just started using this line and I really like it. My skin is dry and flaky. I exfoliate first then apply. I did not notice at all any heavy feeling on my face.
I just discovered Jones Road Beauty, I like it very much. I have long brown hair to my hips, despite the fact I am 60+, it doesn’t make my hair stick to my face. I had a problem picking colors of Miracle Balm, I have to mix the dark one with Dusty Rose. I have them on right now and my face feels great. I think this is your opinion is extremely negative. You started the video, I don’t like the way you tear down JRB, I have a super bad skin allergies, I have tried & thrown away so many of the brands you like & break out in rash with them. Sheesh
I really appreciate how you spent your known money on these products. I feel that it truly gives your viewers a true view of what it feels like to plop our own hard earned money on a product 👏🏻🥰💕. I’ve been obsessed w the balm and am so appreciative that you gave us your true experience. Thank you Kimberly💕💕💕💕
Don't forget that youtubers can deduct products they buy as business expenses on their taxes.
I’m so glad that a lot of people have pointed out that less is more with these products. I originally tried the foundation and it wasn’t working for me but when I used less of it, it looked and felt great. I’m 55 and my skin loves the foundation.
Me too. I replaced my usual Chanel with the WTF foundation
I think you have to have dry skin to appreciate this line because I don’t experience the stickiness when using WTF. I actually love wearing WTF with the lip and cheek stick and it really feels like skincare with a natural no makeup look. I especially enjoyed WTF during the dry winter season. I thought it looked beautiful on Kimberly but I totally understand not wanting a sticky feeling from my makeup. 😊
I have tried this line as well and I love it! Maybe my skin is drier than yours so the extra moisture is soothing instead of sticky. I so appreciate the dewey look. In fact, your face looks amazing in Jones Road. I find it to be a very natural look and that’s what I like.
Thank you for your review! I am 76 and just love the line. I use it very sparingly so I am not sticky at all. I love the WTF and the MB. My skin looks amazing and I get so many compliments. So, I think that what is good for one may not be great for another. You just need to try it for yourself. Remember, less is better.
Many of us have dryer skin as we get older. True.
But many of us DON'T. I don't want sheer coverage - I have discoloration. I don't want hydrating - I have skin care for that.
Thanks for biting the bullet for us, K! I trust you and your opinions! 💕
I had a completely different experience once I practiced using a little amount. It made my face so pretty and it did dry down on me but actually set well and lasted and lasted. I can't believe this review....because if you don't want those Miracle Balms, send them to me!! Love it!
I was very interested in your video because I saw the commercials and started to buy them but I kept hesitating. Thank you for your very honest opinion!
Brooke Shields uses this product and loves it, she used the bronze and the one without color
I can’t wait to try it
I am sure she stumps Jones Road for free.
Love and appreciate your honesty. Greasy and sticky is definitely not what I’m looking for!💕
THANK YOU for clarifying this makeup line. You saved me a ton of money.
glad i watched before I bought
Kimberly, try powder on top & put less on of the balm or foundation. Try the bronze or use your powder bronze for more color!
In the summer, I like to use the Bronze balm all over for more color. My husband likes it!
But my skin is dryer than yours and I live in a very dry climate plus I'm older than you too.
I think all the older ladies really dig it cuz they mostly have dry skin but I have seen younger women on utube who really like the foundation which isn't as rich as the balm.
It is a more natural look or minimal look, I guess you could say.
I have been using these for a month and my skin is transformed.
I just got it on 7/11/23! The color is right on the mark! It does add moisture to my skin. I like it doesn't rub off on my clothing. I also like it because it is natural. I would not use with powder or other foundations. I like it overall! A bit pricey but I tried it and like it!
I absolutely adore this line of cosmetics. If you put it on correctly, it gives your skin a beautiful, healthy glow. It's all I use!
J'adore this line of cosmetics! #JonesRoad rocks!
She gave it several tries. “Applied correctly”.. she used it exactly how she wants to use it. It doesn’t work for her. Period. She didn’t use it “wrong”. To each their own. You like it, she hates it.. each are valid opinions
I have no idea why she used face oil over the foundation. That said, this is the third review from someone over the age of 50 who didn't like the foundation. All said it was too moisturizing. It is probably great if you have really dry skin.
This sounds like the perfect product for me since there isn’t a moisturizer that is too much for me.
This is why I love watching you! You are so honest and I can trust your endorsements…and entertaining. Thanks for your truthfulness.
I do use the natural miracle balm under my make up and with a powder finish. It keeps my makeup fresh all day and my skin moisturized.
I can 100% understand why you would get those results using all the products- it would be a sticky mess. I only use the miracle balm:)
Thank you for your honesty. That’s exactly what I thought to myself. I avoid anything that is loaded with oily products.
I appreciate your review very much 👍👍👍
I live in the high desert and I think a) you look wonderful b) I want the moisturizing effect and will try both the balm and the WTF. Thanks for the review- you do look great!
Thank you for the honest review. I’ve been using the Jones Road products for a few months now. I have to agree that the miracle balm did feel greasy and sticky my first few tries. As many have said, I find if I do use it or the WTF foundation I forgo my moisturizer and that helps. Also as others have said I don’t use a lot. I also pat it on with my fingertips rather than rub it in. I find if I finish with the powder, the tackiness goes away; that’s probably true no matter what powder you use but I do like her face powder. It’s very light. I use the colorless powder. I totally agree about the eye shadow and I find the mascara clumpy and very thick too. I have to use q-tips to smooth it out. Anyway I really appreciated your video and you look fabulous, dahling! 😊
I started with the all natural miracle balm. I have dry skin. This product really helps me.
I also use wtfoundation. I had ti figure it out but both of these products really make my skin look good. It starts off tacky but the tackiness fades away after a while.
I’ve used the miracle balm alone and as a primer and bronzer with a light powder foundation. I do like the extra moisture. It is a little sticky and goes on better when patted on and not rubbed on. It is buildable. I love it with powder foundation because it keeps the powder from traveling into lines. I use it over my sunscreen, both alone and with the powder foundation. These are more suited for dry to normal skin.
I love Jones Road products. I'm 66 and have extremely dry skin. The foundation looks lovely on; not greasy at all. I don't use much and blend it in with my fingers. The Miracle Balm is the same. Not sticky if you don't use too much. It has really saved my skin.
You look beautiful with these products on. Did you try popping a little powder on to take away some of the tackiness?
I'm so glad you created this video! Thank you!!
I love the makeup. My skin is so dry, this makeup keeps my skin nice.
I have almost the entire line. I guess it depends on your skin type. It’s my go to for a natural look and glowy skin. I’ve been very pleased! I don’t experience the sticky feel all day, just fresh, pretty skin.
Can you tell me how you used it .I just purchased the natural as well as roses balms .My intent is that Fall / Winter I am so dry and flakey from Chgo weather that this will help hydrate my skin . Any info would really help 🤔 Thanks , Barbara
Thank you Kimberly for testing this and talking about it. Probably six months ago I bought two of the balms and tried them and was appalled! I too could not stand the stickiness of them. I felt like I had glue on my face. I did contact the company and told them how much I hated it and they did refund my money and did not ask me to send it back. I was thrilled to throw everything away!! Thank you for saving others. I am so surprised that someone with the reputation of Bobbi Brown would create such a terrible line of makeup. I bought it b/c of her reputation. I must say I was pleased with how readily they refunded my money.
Bobbi brown cosmetics I love so much so chic so elegance

You can give them away via Nextdoor, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Depop, Glou Beauty, OfferUp, etc, all are perfectly acceptable. People like me would happily come pick them up!
Mascara Wands: *Wands for Wildlife* is in need of used mascara wands help save wild animals. The organization collects, cleans, and distributes the wands to wildlife services in need. The wands are then used for animal care. They remove debris, bugs, and eggs from fur.
Please consider inquiring with your local women's shelters and look up the above, use your voice to spread awareness. At the very least, they can be used as pigments because that's what makeup is: for artists, kids, etc. It's a medium of color to be used, not to end up in a landfill. You could even compost it when removed from the packaging.
Example: Powdered formulas last indefinitely. So long as it doesn't smell and the product is performing, it's good to use. Those dates sometimes relate to break down but more often they relate to getting rid of perfectly usable product so you feel like you need to purchase again. It's how the industry ensures profit. It depends on the product. Use common sense.
There is also a container icon with an M and a number, which means once you open it, the guide is to use the product within for example 12M (12 months). Add a sticker to when you open it. Pencils can be sharpened to unused, clean product, etc.
Pump bottles can be re-used for other things. Stickers can be removed from glass bottles and these containers can be re-used.
If the product is new enough or untouched enough, you can even make money on selling it via Poshmark, Glambot, Ebay, Mercari, Reddit MakeupExchange, YouFromMe, etc. (Content creators are often obligated to not resell however.) Plenty of people are always looking for discontinued and current products.
Nordstrom's project "BEAUTYCYCLE" accepts the following:
HAIR CARE: Empty bottles, tubes and caps from shampoo, conditioner and styling products
SKIN CARE: Empty bottles, tubes and dispensers from cleansers, toners and moisturizers
MAKEUP: Empty tubes, tubs, pans, palettes and twist-up containers from all cosmetics
SAMPLES: Trial-size tubes and vials, excluding perfume
It would be wonderful to see a trend of every content creator each making a dedicated video and short to educate the public on these options.
Lastly there is the “Pact Collective”. Visit their website to find drop-off bin locations like *ULTA, Caliray, Saie, Westman Atelier, Fenty, rms beauty, Sephora, and so many more*. Many cosmetic companies are part of this group to help you find a collection bin to discard Pact-accepted empties. Don’t have access to a bin? Send your empties back through their mail-back program.
Please spread the word!
@@violetviolet888 Thank you so much for all the valuable information on how to sustainably dispose of unwanted beauty products. You listed so many great resources. My city has two homeless shelters and one women's shelter for dosmetic violence victims. Unfortunately they will not accept products that have been used, only new items. I will keep all of your ideas in mind when next I am decluttering my products. Appreciated!
@@violetviolet888 PS I was just reading some of the comments and I did try the Jones Road products using just a bit to see if I could avoid the stickiness, but it was sticky no matter how much or how little I applied. I think it may work for women with very dry skin, but ugh don't know how they could tolerate the feel of it on their faces.
Thank you for telling us the truth about this very pricey makeup. I have heard others say how greasy and sticky it is too.
I purchased the Miracle Balm in dusty rose. It’s really a pretty color. Basically I now have a giant container of lip gloss.
LOL
I saw someone else complain of stickiness and BB commented saying try “dabbing” on your skin, as opposed to rubbing it on. I don’t remember the reason behind it but maybe you could try that? Expensive lipgloss if not 😮.
I’ve been getting bombarded lately w ads for this brand and I’m so glad I ran across this review and all the comments !!
Actually, the foundation looks fantastic on you!!!!
Their ads are everywhere you go online. Of course we're all intrigued. I'm so glad to finally see a demo from someone I trust. Thanks for your honesty. I'm your age and also have normal skin. Can't imagine looking like a grease bomb everyday.
I was so surprised by your opinions on it because the whole time you were applying I was thinking you looked absolutely stunning, natural, and glowing. Just beautiful! As BB says, "you, only better." The line is not meant to be full coverage. WTF is not a foundation, which is why it is called What the Foundation :) more of a tinted serum and the face pencils are used to conceal and cover. I use a setting spray after applying. I agree about the Just a Sec but LOVE the best eyeshadow.
Like you, I bought 3 JR Balms. I use the happy hour on my feet and the bronze on my legs. I do use the rose on my face, a little dab will do for sure.
Thank you for your honest opinion of Jones Road products. I have purchased the What the Foundation and the Miracle Balm. The WTF gave me no coverage at all; and you are correct - the Miracle Balm made my hair stick to my face. With all the hype on these products, I was beginning to think I was doing something wrong. I'm happy to hear that it's not just me!
YES! I felt the exact same way. I even emailed them and asked them if I was doing something wrong. I have long hair and it sticks to my face all day long. What a waste!
Gayle Angell: Use less product and it won't be sticky.

I LOVE her line! I have super dry skin & it's the ONLY thing I've ever tried that keeps my skin very hydrated ALL DAY! I wear it over night. It soaks into my skin and hydrates. It only feels slightly sticky after application but adds color that I REALLY NEED & then soaks in & HYDRATES!
It's the best thing I ever found! The pencils are great too.
The foundation wasn't hydrating enough so the balm + pencils give a light foundation look.
Obviously for beauty over 50 doesn’t have dry skin.
Miss Kitty. I love the products. I think those who use powder, should try applying powder. I get many compliments when u wear WTF. I wear very little, and stamp in with sponge it looks great. The ingredients in the WTF are skin care products. I don’t use a lot of skincare before applying. Some days I just wear Miracle balm, instead of skincare for a natural glow look. I have long wavy hair it isn’t that sticky. I use very little. You are I are in the minority , LOL. I think Kimberly looks very pretty and I like her glow!
@@goldie4245 agree! It's a very natural look. I think she looks real pretty too! Yeah if she put powder on top she might like it better plus there are no chemicals in these products. Very healthy for the skin. 🙂
I have to agree with you! I love all of her products that I’ve gotten so far. I threw out all my other foundations & now only use hers.
@@cindyhuber3303 I think her WTF is great with less skincare , and for those who powder, it would help stickiness. Kimberly normally powders, I don’t, it truly looked great imo on her.
Thank you for your reply. I’m going to try the foundation on my mature skin. Especially knowing that it does soak in and doesn’t stay oily on your skin… I believe that not overdoing it is probably the key.
I have purchased and used one shade of Magic Balm on no-makeup days. For me it’s a weird vibe at first but it dries in about an hour to become a velvety finish. Maybe it’s because my skin is really dry? But it makes my skin look and feel moist with a subtle glow.
OMG. LOVE YOU!! I could not agree more and more. That balm is like gooey glue. You are the best
You look pretty. Thx for the honest review, saved me $$$$
1:35 I really appreciate you trying these products and sharing your honest opinions with us. I am 62 yrs young, and have been on my personal journey of improving my skin for the past two years, and I don’t even want to count up the exact number of money (thousands) I have wasted over the past two years on skincare, makeup and gadgets with big promises, and ended up in my trash can!
Have you tried Retin A? Generic is Tretinoin . Best decision I ever made for my skin care, about 4 years ago at 56…game changer for me 🥰
@@franlynch9428 I did try Tretinoin last year, and after trying lower strengths, I was still having reactions from it. Retinol fries my skin. What brand of Tretinoin do you use?
@@arlenelovelace18 the tube say Northstar ….if that helps. I started with a pea size amount mixed with a little of my moisturizer, about twice a week. Then worked up to every other night…the weakest strength. I am now the next higher strength . But still about every other night.
The first month or so there is shedding of your skin, peeling which is a challenge, but if you stick with it that will stop. Ps my skin is extremely sensitive
i use curology and love it. @@arlenelovelace18
I am not one to wear much makeup and have dry skin. I agree with the stickiness of the product and I do not like the overly dewey look so I use a setting powder. I have all the moisture from the products and no hair sticking to my face! I am actually loving the products.
I love the WTF but I only put sunscreen underneath it and no moisturiser. Love the non-cakey look of it and just evens me out enough.
My experience was exactly like yours! I’m glad to hear I’m not alone in my opinion. I was also inspired by the concept, and very disappointed in the reality of the products. Maybe Bobbi will refine her products and come up with something better.
I was enticed into purchasing several BB products, because of the great marketing , and I have a different opinion. I read many reviews before purchasing and I was very hesitant but, I bought the Miracle Balm in Au Naturel and Dusty Rose. I have very dry skin and these balms work great on my skin! In fact, I love them! They make my skin dewy and glowy! But, it does take some practice getting used to the application. I use them on my cheeks and lips. I also bought the Bronzer, in Dusty Rose, and it is a very pretty color and matte finish. But, you definitely can't use it over the balms. Now that I've used the balms for a few months, I can't live without them!
Glad for your honesty. Miracle balm reminds me of vaseline or auqophor. I want to be able to not be too careful when I purchase expensive products. You should do comparison with miracle balm and vaseline. Add blush color or bronzer to the vaseline.
I don’t have the same experience as you. I have very dry skin and the miracle balm is great for me. I don’t find it sticky and only have to use very little for a beautiful glow. My new favorite thing.
I’m so relieved to hear that I am not the only one who feels this way about these products! So disappointing! Thank you for your honest review!
I’m so grateful to know. I’ve been so tempted.
100% AGREE!! I wanted to like these so much and tried and tried and tried again. No luck. Great review!
Watched this video again because I was contemplating purchasing the foundation because I haven't seen a whole lot of videos being as honest as yours. I can't stand sticky anything on my face because all I want to do is touch my face and take it off. I want a foundation that will wear all day when I am working, particularly in the humid months here in the northeast. My favorite makeup products are foundation and mascara so I want HONEST thoughts, not hype. I really like Polite Society. It stays all day and has a slight gleam, not a sun reflecting glare LOL. Sigh. I might purchase this just for a review but I am trying to not be wasteful with makeup reviews. Thanks again.
OMG thank you so much!!! I was just gonna order this line 😂
I am so glad I saw this . I am 59 and was just about to do a deep dive into Jones Road . I love the concept .
I simply LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE your honest opinion! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I LOVE JONES ROAD!!! I would never wear anything else. It’s been an amazing find, and I’m SO thankful for her products. They are perfect for me!
Yes I love that mascara and the eyeshadow! I disagree that the products just don’t function
I so agree with you. I thought I was being to harsh with my personal experience now I see I was not alone in my feelings. Thank you it’s not just me…
I agree! I don’t like the shiny look of this make-up. Thanks for the review!
I find the products wonderful and it does not feel like vaseline. I am 62 and I honestly love the products. Different skin different requirements.
I have watched your channel often and was on the fence re this brand…also so eager to try it. Ultimately I saw a review that convinced me to forge ahead…so glad I did. At 64 years with fairly decent skin, the WTF and the balms work beautifully. And, I must add, that they do more for my complexion than any of those pricey devices that have impressed you.
Thank you for your review. I’ve been checking out this line for my 73 year old skin. Other make up foundation is not looking good on me. I just wish they had small sample sizes to purchase.
Wow, I love how honest you are! That's refreshing! Thanks!
Thank yo so much.
I’m glad you did this video! I thought the make up was super sticky! And yup, I kept trying it too!
Thanks for the review. I live in a tropical humid Island and I would go nuts.
My 42 year old daughter tried it and felt pretty much the same😂 she to put it bluntly hated it and promptly warned me and her 2 sisters to stay away. But still I wondered if it was meant for more mature ladies like myself and thanks to you I have my answer😆❤️ thank you!
Try Elf skin care and glamour makeup and you will love most of this line. For mature women, you bet, I am over 75 and think it is great. Affordable, yes, it is. My fav skin care product is Holy Hydration fragrance free moisturizer for night time. $13 for a small jar.
