    I managed to install d-tuna into my RR shaped Edwards. Luckily, I have just enough place (when guitar is set up correctly). That when I locked bridge to dive only, I have around 1 mm when engaged. I need to dive bridge to drop into D tho:D and my bridge is juuuust touch up (I mean it's not ideally flat with the body, back or it is just around 1/2 degree up. Abouslutly no change in sound/setup, or anything...and I absolutely love it

I had a 7 string with a Floyd a while back and it was not fun to deal with (wouldn't stay in tune properly) so hoping I'll have a better experience this time, but the 6 strings I'm looking at have a fully floating Floyd.

    Ok awesome, now can you do it for the recessed Floyds? I have a Charvel with one and put a Tone Vise on it and while it works, it's not as smooth as a D Tuna. I floated the bridge and have a trem stabilizer on it and it took a lot of fiddling to get it all to work and stay in tune in both tunings while floating.
    Ok I see you did mention these issues and even "routed" one of your guitars for a D Tuna 😂

    @majkon93 Před 10 měsíci +1

    Hello, nice demonstration and awesome tone (y) I have just 2 questions (and I don't own dtuna yet so i cant try it myself).
    1/ What happens if you unscrew the fine tuner completely? It doesn't have to be there since it's all the way up, so it could be maybe better to put it away so it cant be lost, right?
    2/ Let's say I have perfectly tuned guitar with the dtuna. Now when it goes naturally slightly out of tune, I can fine tune the "e position" with the little screw in d-tuna. What about the "d position", I'd have to unlock the nut and tune it on the headstock, bcs the finetuner on the trem is not working, right?
    Thx

    • @MAX96MENDES
      @MAX96MENDES Před 10 měsíci

      I have the same exact guitar as on this video (The Black Stealth Special).
      Its because of Gadan´s last video review I bought one ! :)
      It comes with a set of extra screws in which you can unscrew and take out the "D-Tuna" and just use the FLoyd-Rose without
      it, if you want ... But WHY unscrew it and take it out, it is just so good to use.
      It will never fall off. It is built in a way in which it is always locked unto the Floyd-Rose without falling off. You just
      plug-it-in or plug-it-out.
      It was Eddie Van Halen´s Invention and the man knew what he was doing over the past 35 years playing his guitars.
      I think Eddie V.H. used to call this "D-Tuna" invention , the "Little Willie" :)

      I have a Frankie Relic and Im thinking of just doing that, putting the e string fine tuner all the way in and turning it out for D. Every time I engage the Dtuna to get to E all the other strings go out of tune even though my trem is flat to the body and cannot be pulled up. I also dropped the string tree to make sure the strings were bottomed out on the back of the nut. I cant get rid of it fucking the tuning up. If I get close, as soon as I tighten the locking nuts everything is way out of whack again. its very frustrating.

    Better off just having 2 guitars. I'm sure these sell just because the name on them but it's just not really that feasible on something like a Floyd.. u gotta block the trem so it only dives.. if that's the case then a Floyd is probably not the bridge for you in the first place. Idk.. I'm not diggin it. Doesn't really seem practical to me.
