This jacket is amazing quality. I own it since last winter. The only problem this jacket has is lack of neck coverage. You need something to keep the cold away from your neck.
Actually looking at purchasing this jacket. I know it was 108% plus today. Yet we also drop into some quite colder temps as well. Life in las Vegas.I I love Carhartt brand. I had one for over 20 years. Loved it. If I purchased this jacket at 58 years of age I can guarantee this will be the last cold weather jacket I buy in my lifetime.

I live in Michigan where the winters are very frozen, and it provides the perfect warmth. 4 winters later it is showing excessive fabric wear but apparently the more f-ed up your carhartt is the cooler you are. I'll tell you what, though. The zipper and buttons are extremely durable.

I didn’t know that it would be and kinda thought I’d regret buying it but yeah, it softened up a bit and have enjoyed it a lot more. It will be a LOT better I can tell whenever I’ve gotten at least a week of use out of it... Love your Carhartt videos man and if I’m not mistaken, I think we are from the same Country. My man, thanks for the recommendation! I absolutely love this tough and warm jacket. I've used it for half a year or so now and it actually works pretty well even when its warm. I guess its great insulation keeps heat of as well as it keeps the cold out. I will say one thing tho, the fit is pretty special. The jacket is very short for the sizes so I wouldn't go with this jacket if you've got a long torso. Lucky for me I've got a short torso and broad shoulders so mine fits perfectly!

get milwaukee heated jacket or hoodie those are great, i also work in construction outside in winter wen its arround freezing point, i wear the milwaukee heated hoody with another hoody on top, its nice and warm

This coat is the warmest I've ever purchased. It's extremely robust and it's an absolute wall when it comes to wind. I'm 9 and half stone. 5ft 8 with a 38 inch chest. Not a large dude. The small was perfect, it does leave room for a jumper or hoodie though. If you're any smaller than me then even the small might be too large as it's made to allow room for other layers. Cannot fault it, it's worth every penny.
Make sure get one size smaller than regular. This jacket has a lot of room on the chest, shoulder and bicep area. I am 5' 9 190lbs. I usually wear large all the way but the large size on me way too loose.
I first bought the tall medium and it was too big. I wanted the length of a tall size but the arms were way too long and its even wider in the shoulders. I bought a Regular Medium fits perfect. Almost tailored not too tight not too big. For reference I'm 5'10 160lbs.
Just got mine in the dark brown. I’m wondering is I should size up but as you mentioned it is stiff on first wear I think it will loosen up some after repeated wear.

Last winter I layered my wax jacket with thermal skin, t-shirt, flannel shirt, and a cotton gillet cos that gave me the freedom in the arms but the warmth on those dog walks at minus 3. The wax jacket doesn't have the sherpa lining though, so maybe I won't need the gillet layer. Hmmm, I'm torn...prob small, consider a medium.

I used to like Carhartt, until they discontinued the hickory shirts and the B07 logger jeans. Their quality has been sliding downhill for awhile now too. It’s too bad, they used to make high quality clothing.

Yeah you have to wear a scarf with it or have something covering your neck
