Kingy referring to Sydney’s mids dominating the first 10 games of the season an “issue”, because he doesnt know if they can keep doing it, is one of the worst takes ive ever heard.
It's not a bad take at all, plenty of teams have dominated mid-season and were raging favorites for the flag but didn't win: St Kilda 2004 West Coast 2005 Adelaide 2006 Geelong 2008 St Kilda 2009 Collingwood 2011 Hawthorn 2012 Sydney 2016 Adelaide 2017 Richmond 2018 Plenty of the season left and it would only take a few injuries to a teams gun players; suspension; dip in form etc for them to struggle come finals
I agree, I'm a Swans supporter and love them to bits but it only takes a few injuries or an opponent to go red hot like the Dogs in 2016, or the Hawks on GF day in 2014 to change things up

In fact their average crowd attendance this year is the best since the 2016 premiership year.
Beating up Richmond and a really out of form Giants and the Dogs are contenders again? Their % is because they flat track the bad teams. When they consistently beat the top teams Ill believe. If they beat Sydney and Collingwood I'll say they're a contender.
That’s weird, I could have sworn they said last week Carlton was in the biggest game with the most implications this week, and I didn’t hear a peep about it…It wouldn’t be because they’d have to talk about Sydney, would it?
Moving Hardwick back was definitely not the reason for Hawthorn’s loss. The ball didn’t go into hawks half for pretty much the entirety of the last quarter, and he is a good leader down back. Port Adelaide locked Hawthorn in there half and stopped the way hawks wanted to play.
Here it is, was waiting for the weekly rollercoaster that is David Kings opinion He'll start saying Essendon can win a flag soon They beat a historically bad North side.....😂😂😂
That the Bumblers are second on the ladder just shows how far ahead of the competition Sydney are. Only Collingwood could maybe challenge them at this stage …
YES it is, they can WIN THE FLAG 2024 . i have many sports bet placed for Essendon to win , got them at 30 to 1 , now they are 15 to 1 , PEOPLE BELIEVE IN IT TOO !!
Far out the flip flop attitude towards certain teams/coaches/lists is outrageous. How can beating North change anything. Essendon play Richmond then gold Coast, by then they will be flag favs in kingys eyes. Then they play Carlton and WCE so bombers will get a huge pump up for a month, then they have a hard month with 4 games they will start underdog in
I don’t think the north win is the point. The point is that people though Essendon would be 1-6 to start this season. The fact that they are now 7-2-1 is a talking point regardless of who they beat this week. Also, I think the fact that their % is over 100 now is part of the reason. Because they beat the giants last week and half the analysis was “hmmm…but they have a % in the 90s”.
@@zingleraster9124 it’s more a confirmation bias thing, I think. The pundits thought Essendon were going to be crap. Can’t remember who said it but one of them was talking about the Suns and said they should make finals because “they play north, west coast and Essendon twice”. So when things start to look different, many will seek out evidence that proves they’re not wrong even if it’s flimsy. Essendon’s bad percentage is an example of this. On a show last week I heard “we all though collingwood had a low percentage last year” followed by “percentage is a good indicator of where the club is at” Collingwood were premiers with that low percentage - it clearly isn’t the best indicator but if it fits a narrative neatly people will use it.

For the swans fans that are going mental that the team doesn’t get talked about. It’s because everyone knows the swans always do well in the home and away seasons and just stumble at the final hurdle. The three grand final loses are no doubt in the back of their minds. I get there maybe a lot of new people following the sport but Sydney doing well in the season and setting themselves up for a finals position is nothing new. Also I think it’s time to start taking the Dogs seriously, they’re in the Fox footy premiership window 3rd points for and 5th in pts against.
So What. You've got an opinion, Swans do well etc etc. The're not on their lonesome there that's what finals is all about, every team either drops out or wins the flag. Dogs are playing Swans on Thurs night, what will happen you think?
Your bit about Sydney is one of the worst takes I've seen. By your logic they shouldn't be talking about Melbourne when they go well (successive straight sets September exits), Carlton (haven't made a Grand Final in 25 years) or the Dogs (never finished Top 4 under Bevo), Essendon (how many days now?) etc. because they've not closed the deal in recent seasons. They say that they're talking about the teams that look like the real deal right now. If they had any integrity around that idea they'd spend a lot more time on what Sydney are doing than they have. I'm a Dogs fan but they carried on way too much about us smashing a struggling GWS side than they should have, at the expense of a team who are miles ahead of the pack. And you can't tell me that they can't find much to say. When Melbourne were undefeated this time a couple of years ago I swear they spent 10 minutes waxing lyrical about their strategies, their training, their group togetherness or anything they could find. Last season it was Collingwood and their group, their veterans, the Daicos boys, their situation training etc.
