Man, i need to talk to you. Watch "I Love i Loud" (Kiss. Live in Maracanã.1983). Really, im brazillian, i know my peploe, and im very impressed. i dont know the right word, in that music, in that show of Kiss, its more than fans... its... crowd or supporters. Something like that. Watch, Kiss, I Love it Loud. Live in Maracana. 1983, and Maybe you'll understand.

With Freddie it was more than an "I made it" moment. He loved his audiences, and they radiated that love right back to him. It was such as special thing to hear and see.In a concert after Freddie's death, Brian played and sang, and the audience sang back to him. The crowd cheered twice as loud when Brian announced that there was a special guest in the audience that night, Freddie's mother. How she must have felt when the audience showered her with love as well!

I didn't go, unfortunately I wasn't born in 1985, yet this concert marked the history of that festival Rock In Rio, considered the best concert of all, but I know people who went to that Queen concert and say it was the best day of their lives in terms of shows, the Queen very loved here and the figure of Freddie is always referenced to each Rock In Rio ...
Thanks to Queen this great event happened, the other artists were not sure if this project could work, Brazil was not well regarded at that time, but Queen paid for and lent all her lighting for the festival, all the artists who were here, used Queen's lighting, if it weren't for Queen, most likely there would never have been Rock In Rio

I just love this particular performance. You can see the emotion all over Freddie's face and it's beautiful to see. You can really tell how touched and lucky he felt to be on that stage with 250,000 people singing for him. And that Brian chant? So touching! He doesn't get nearly enough credit but he did in Rio!

Did not notice that there are two stools on the stage, one for Brian and one for Freddie. In later years after Freddie's death, Brian would ask the audience "Do you want to sing" and they knew what was coming and happily sang along. At those times there was an empty stool next to the one Brian sat on. Near the end of the song, Freddie would appear on screen and finish the last lines. It was so beautiful and sad that I am fighting back the tears as I write.

This was just a few months before Live Aid, 1985, ten years after he and Mary broke up. So very impressive how warmly they were greeted in S. Anerica. Brian said how much they loved the fans there, and that it was almost overwhelming. I think I resd that it was about 300,000 at one stadium. Thank you for plaing this , and I love your reviews

They were so loud and he had them singing out of the palm of his hand. It’s a testament to Freddie’s charisma and the love of their fans for Queen. Great video and thanks to all who recommended it🥰👏🏼🙏🏻

They also did the first rock concert in Hungary, which was still, I think, "behind the iron curtain." Freddie memorized a Hungarian song (perhaps their national anthem) and sang it with and for them at the concert. (He did cheat a bit by looking at his palm where he had made a few notes.)

Brian said it was deafening but wonderful. Did you notice the guy replying “ eu também” (me too) when Freddie said I still love you? Thx for reacting to this song in front of such a huge, enthusiastic crowd! It was a festival, where people came and went in front of the stages, so it was hard to count them, but it were hundreds of thousands of fans.
You should once compare this to the original song from "A Night at the Opera". It was a nice "small" album song with a harp instaed of the 12 string guitar Brian plays live. It was never meant to become a single. It's amazing how it turned out to become such a massive crowd participation song.

Yes, Brian has said that they were not expecting such a fabulous greeting by the Japanese people - they were met at the airport with huge crowds, they were given a real Japanese tea part, they were just overwhelmed by the love and respect and fascination that the Japanese people showered on them. There is a video on this somewhere here. In later concerts, Queen had written a song for them, in Japanese. Brian also learned a few words to greet them and thank them for their great reception.

I think the singing is louder just cuz there are so many MORE people: At least 250,000 people here in Brazil (that's what was said here; I've also read that the audience was 300,000 or maybe even 350,000)! The capacity at Wembley was "only" 75,000, I think.

I recently saw a video where Brian May sang with the greatest opera sing of all time (IMHO), Luciano Pavarotti. As they both walked out onto the stage, voices in the audience were shouting "Brian Brian Brian Brian Brian." Had I been there, I would have joined them.

I also don't think Freddie would be hurt or offended by the love being shown to Brian, but would have been happy for him. They all had their parts to play, and frequently after Freddie sang a local part, he would step back and say, "Take it, Bri" to feature Brian on his guitar solo. Each person had his part and and place and time to shine, as it should be.

Hello B. Smith and Marcella. Yes, that was at Hyde Park in London on Green Day in 2017, here on video at youtube. Remember that Freddie had died in 1991. Apparently there was a concert to be held, with somewhere around 60,000 in attendance, and before the concert, the music from Bohemian Rhapsody was played, and the entire crowd knew and sang every word of the song, some even singing the guitar riffs. What a fabulous tribute. In the background you can see a beautiful formation of clouds and light, and I like to think that Freddie was looking down from heaven, perhaps singing to himself, knowing how much he was still loved.
