Okay thank you ill will go see it in 2010
@@Turnaround72 😂😂😂
But where is it lol
Just found this for the first time in years. This is literally the only film that has stuck with me my whole life just because of that damn clown
Poltergeist and It inside your dome now.
Dude, like i remember this a 100 times scarer when i was a kid. It makes you think of how things are seen through the eyes of a child, how everything makes a great impression
I have been trying to find this film for a straight 7 years. I saw it as a kid and never again since. My family actually watched it again about 2 years later but I tried VERY hard to ignore it. All I ended up seeing was the demon girl crawling into the hole. I vividly remember the cop with his brain exposed on the back of his head. I also remembered that crazy professor goggle guy saying: "You shouldnt have opened it. The darkness will come for you. It'll come for me." They came over their fears in the end with the girl coming to terms with the fact that her (sister?) fell off a rollercoster and died. Theres a big showdown in some dark gloomy foggy street where the teen boy faces off against his (dad?), who has taken the form of a large, screaming, mist face.
Finding this film is very refreshing.
That was my favorite mug
Now its in the hole
"Well, I got up this morning." *Sip* "And there was a hole."
i saw this on Netflix when it was on there, and I STILL HAVE THE WHISTLE IN MY HEAD
As a 30s something adult, I actually enjoyed this one when it came out.

OH my gosh YAZ! I saw Terri Polo and I almost screamed. She is one of my favourite actors! I love her. And now I'm so glad the movie is on Netflix I'm gonna watch it tomorrow since right now as I'm typing this, it's 3:06 am. So yeah. Can't wait it looks something Goosebumps-y if you know what I mean.
TomSka: Well, I woke up this morning...
*_Then there was a hole._*
Oh no
-Where did the hole go? -In the hole.
"Tom,where did these come from?"

I dont know why this made me laugh so much
I was looking for this movie. I watched it when I was 8 years old, and now I'm 19. It was really terrifying for me. Finally, I found it. It's a really wonderful and interesting movie.😭
I'm more worried about the space octopus
I'm pretty good at watching horror films but when I first saw this the girl Annie really scared me and still does it's just something about her....
Yeah, I don't care if this isn't a typical horror film, Annie is really freaky, and I got really creeped out by her.
@@susantherestorer why are you replying to 3 year old comments💀💀
@@numdmdm2746 doesn't matter.
I swear I saw this movie in 2009, I rember going into the cinema thinking it was gonna be a mild haunting children's film, it wasn't! There is actually horror movies for adults I find less scary than this movie!
I think the reason (or one of the reasons) for that is the fact, not only do they see their worst fears come to life, but they see each others' worst fears at the same time as each other. (As if it really is there.) The film, as far as film making goes, is excellent, and well done, but the horror/thriller aspects of the film really freak you out. If you were scared of the dark as a child, I wouldn't recommend this film, but if not, you might like it.
Was actually a good movie with a deep storyline. It seemed a little messy in places at least for a young adult but was a classic horror movie that was still enjoyable and i think would be best especially for young teens :) I liked it and I'm 17. But if you're looking for gory, twisted, psychotic, scare-your-pants-off, with very little storyline or understanding... this is not the movie.
i watched this when I was 4 with my siblings and it terrifies me that 1, I don't remember being scared at all and 2, that i remember everything that happened well enough to find it again a decade later
Same I just can't find the movie to actually watch it
Where's Dane go?
in the hole
BHWUUUAAAAAAAAHHHH
"DAD! DAD! THERE IS A HOLE WITH EVIL THINGS COMMING OUT! AND EVIL CLOWNS!"
"I'm more worried about the space octopus."
actually this was awesome movie
It's on Sky Cinema now , this comedy sold me
I have very vague memories of watching this on Netflix as a kid and I still haven't forgotten the whole thing with the dead girl and the roller coaster. Going to have to try to find this and rewatch it eventually.
Will probably be not too bad now but bloody hell this terrified me as a kid. Especially that scene with the cop crawling into the hole
sameee
this movie was in my meonories, watched it when i was like 8, can’t believe I finally found it
Just finished the movie last night! It was awesome! The clown doll was really freaky.
I'm a big Joe Dante fan, and I never knew of this movie. I'm going to watch it just because back when I was a kid. At the daycare I went to, an old lady would work every Wednesday and she would told us stories during lunch time from when she was a kid living during the Dust Bowl era. Anyways, there was one story where she said below their fireplace, was a pit that went down to nowhere and she didn't know where the bottom of it was at. That you drop something in it and couldn't hear it hit. Though I also remember her telling of there being a hole like that out down off somewhere. And I believe there were some Indians who lived by I think from what I remember ride around and kind of intimidate people. I believe that hole was on their reservation or close to it.
I'm sure I might of gotten things mixed up as this was a long time ago. But I just remember her telling stories of this hole that went down who knows how keep, and that her family would use it as a trash dump. As they'd dump their trash down it. I'm sure this old lady has passed away by now though.
She would come in once a week to work and would add on to her never ending story at lunch time. And one story she gave, she said she'd finish it the following week. But I was moving and asked her if she could at least tell me a quick version just to me so I'd know the end since I as I was moving. But she wouldn't do it for some reason like she wanted to save it for the following week. Which I was moving, and then the fact is who would really care about that since we all were little kids?
Tom? Did you find my copy of the greatest movie of all time.
i have been searching for this movie for SO LONG
omg i watched this as a child and now i finally found the trailer!!! im so friggin happy like none befor!!!!

the last word on this trailer sums up the whole flick.
the top comments are talking about they watched this movie when they are kids, and yeah, I watched this when I was just a kid and I want to watch it again because I'm braver now
I'm not kidding. I have a question that I haven't solved in almost 10 years. At the beginning of the movie, Dan's brother Lucas ran down to introduce his brother to Julie. Do you guys know the rock music of the female voice? The song is so good, but I can't find it. :( (Not even on the soundtrack ) Anyway If you know the title of the music in that scene, please tell me the title name...

It has a great 80's feel to it!

Just finished watching this movie..
Insidious is one of my favorite horror movies of all time and I feel like the creators behind that movie were heavily inspired by this movie. Particularly towards the end.
Decent movie though. Expected it to be a bit more frightening, but it's got some tension.
Grade: C+
Literally got reminded of this movie 20yrs latet
I can't figure out where to watch it, but I absolutely loved this movie as a kid!
Its on Amazon prime in UK but is on the 30 day list so not sure how much time you have to watch it before it’s removed.
“TOM WHERES YOUR GIRLFRIEND TOM”
“she’s at work”
“Ah where does she work?”
“in the hole”
*dammit that was my favorite movie.....*
*now its in the hole*
*DRAMATIC STING*
Saw this on Netflix its soooo good!!
So much hate here... it's directed by Joe Dante! He's known for making darker movies and adding a blend of comedy/lightheartedness. Not to mention he's also a legend! This was a great little flick, especially for teens who are obviously the target audience.
Well I woke up this morning...
And there was this hole.
This movie gave me the biggest fear of public bathrooms as a kid and i still carry that fear today
Watched this as a kid and was very disappointed lmao but now I love it 😂
I just bought this movie at Dollar Tree. I almost passed on it but I noticed the box said "From the Director of Gremlins and Small Soldiers." That had me sold for $1.25.
Tomska Anyone?
I spent twenty minutes searching for the name of this movie 💀.
I feel like nobody remembers this movie. I wish they had this somewhere where we’d be able to watch it
Omg I spent so much time trying to find this movie!
This movie is legendary beyond comparison
Just rented this movie and I’m excited as hell to watch it!
where do you rent it at
Remember the guy with the massive belt
Bro this was like my childhood horror movie
This was one of the first horror movies I watched, now horror is one of my favorite genres.
My first horror movie was Silint Hill. That wasn't the best idea.
Guess I wasn’t the only person to watch this when I was a little kid😂😂
That was my favorite mug... now it’s in the hole.
Ooh, an 80's remake of "The Gate"!
Yes Someone Who Thinks Like Me
lol I really wish They did make a The Gate 1987 remake because i love those movies alot
Loks COOL! Maybe I'll watch it this evening!
I marked out a bit seeing Bruce Dern (big fan of The Burbs). As for the movie itself. It looks like a bigger budgeted bit on a Nickelodeon anthology show, like if they remade Are You Afraid of the Dark.
I have seen it and it is amazing💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
Just watched it, pretty good!
First time i seen this was in 2012 i was 11. I bought the dvd. Good times. I got it in extravision. If your from ireland or uk you will know that place. I also bought a bag of popcorn. I almose crapped myself watchin lmao.

This is the root to my childhood trauma lmao
Fav unique horror movie, honestly was the only one that really stuck out
