I Drove My G63 at Spa! Surprising End to the Black Series Tour

- It's time to head home after a wonderful Black Series Tour visiting the home of AMG in Affalterbach and Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart. The return trip to the Shmuseum starts at our hotel in Nürburg following a few wonderful days on track at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
While being greeted by the lovely grey weather outside, we make our way across the German country side to the Belgian border for a short visit at the famous Spa-Francorchamps race track. At the Belgium Formula 1 track, we are welcomed by the RSRSpa and ESSER Automotive teams on the ground, who have organised a track day, but they also have a surprise for us. At lunch time, we can take both my AMG G 63 and C 63 Black Series on track for a quick photo shoot and a low speed lap around the renowned circuit.
With the weather not improving, it is time to commence our final part of the journey back home. The Channel Tunnel awaits us. After the crossing, the United Kingdom shows its true nature and ability to provide a wet and rainy welcome back into the country. The trip finally ends back home at the Shmuseum. THE END.

When the STO comes to the Ring, the Senna and Ford GT should come as well along with the GT Black Series. You should call it the "Wings for Days" tour. That would be epic.

Tim I lived in Trier, Germany in the 80s and 90s. Back then when you drove through Spa the main highway drove you on the main straight of the race course. Of course, much like Nuerburgring, you could pay to drive the track. Love doing that back then. One day I'll make it back to the Ring. But until then watching you, Misha and others drive it is enough. BTW, the end of Misha's video a little earlier you said to his, Chips remark," I've never heard that before...." I feel you on that...with my name, I've heard every sort of remark from people who think they are clever and I've never heard a comment. It's always been fun, conversation starter!

I was very lucky to a do a spa trackday a while back with RSR’s owner Ron Simons. Great knowledge he had. He banned my brother at the time (my brother was a drift racer and almost crashed their Exige on EU Rogue) but gave me the green light 😂

Great video again Tim! I have a small question and not sure if it’s just what I’m imaging, however it doesn’t seem you have connected with the c63 as of yet. Is it to do with the age and mileage of the car, or the lack of knowledge around its history? Thanks!

This was a great tour specially with the AMG GT BLACK SERIES am hoping the GT Black Series is going to sound way better I had a blast seeing the cars making laps at the ring I had so much fun seeing yous guys in the G Wagon making laps and having so much fun next is going to be the the Lamborghini STO with it's new PPS and ready to get it's break in that going to be so much fun.
The rain in Spain may fall mainly on the plain, but in Belgium it's always Spa...I've done quite a few track days, but not Francorchamps - 'yet' Even that "parade lap" must be awesome, all the famous segments like La Source, Blanchimont.. especially Eau Rouge, the elevation change & blind exit onto Kemmel must be terrifying but so much fun. Can't wait to see the STO there & the Ring soon

Spa’s fantastic! Done 2 trackdays there in a fitting (heavy but fast) Fiat Coupe. Unique, in a completely different way to The Ring

Just a quick question. I've noticed you use the start/stop function in your cars, and don't turn it off. In a queue for example. Why is that? I'm sure the fuel savings are minimal. I've always felt like it puts unnecessary strain on a few components, like the starter motor. I feel kind of uncomfortable using it.
Isn't that parking garage under the main straight of the gp track? Would make sense with the navigation issue
