  • I'm just been really struggling lately. Things could always be so much worse, but I still thought I'd share some details of what's been going on. Maybe it'll make you (or others watching) feel not so alone. Life isn't perfect and we all deal with something!! I'm so thankful for you all though...truly!!!

My 35 y/o husband died from brain cancer last year, leaving me with our 3 babies to care for alone. Friends often preface every single struggle/complaint they have because we tend to compare. We can BOTH have struggles. Truly, we all do. We don’t need to compare our struggles but only to support each other in whatever they are. Sending you so many healing vibes ❤️💙❤️

I'm never without an appointment to get something drilled, nerve damage, pulled adjusted... the only rest I get is the rest of healing in between appointments. AND NO ONE realizes how depressing it is.

      @annacevedo9278 Před 2 lety +7

@@terrjarvis8685 ....Do you have any other dental issue? Cavities, root canals, mercury amalgam fillings , have braces, bridges, gum disease??
The teeth are directly connected with your acupuncture meridians . It is now believed that this meridian system that runs throughout your body may be connected with our fascia tissue that runs throughout our muscles and all organs and also with our lymphatic system - the system to eliminate toxins in our tissues, organs via the blood which takes it to our liver, colon and kidneys for elimination. The vagus nerve in your mouth running down through your esophagus to your colon and another up from your 2 front teeth along roof of mouth down back of head tun through your meridians also. To put it briefly.
Meridians also fun from each tooth down to parts of your body.
So yes... your teeth and mouth could have an effect on your body ... muscles.... joints etc.
So it follows that if you use your muscles like in exercise /strenuous movement ... it may refer back to your mouth.
So look for any issues in your mouth. Mercury dental amalgam fillings can create very very bizarre conditions both in mouth and rest of body. A Biological Dentist may be the best to know about these things.
In the 1800s mercury fillings were banned by the THEN American Dental Association because they knew and experienced the detrimental effects of mercury on all systems of the body bc it attacks the nervous system and endocrine which then affects all other systems & organs. This they knew bc of the hazards it posed for mercury mining workers and gold mining and workers in the Top Hats manufacturing bc they used mercury to stretch the hat fabric. Many of these became insane or mentally unstable thus the adage “Mad Hatter” like you hear in the Alice and Wonderland tale.
But the pressure of the elites brought down that 1st dental association. And later the one we have now formed with the same name and they resumed the use of mercury amalgams which is 50% toxic mercury. Mercury is used to mine gold to separate it from the rocks and other mineras. I guess they need to use the leftover for something like they do with fluoride and other residual industrial waste. They chug it to the naive consumers and make more bucks out of it.
When my 8 mercury amalgams were installed within less than 2 months one of the immediate symptoms that happened was I began having a massive pain shoot up to my eye and brain FROM a molar next to one filled. If the pain lasted more than the 20 seconds I would have had to commit suicide bc all I can do is jump up and down holding my head until it subsided. Luckily it would only happen occasionally until one day it lasted longer .
I ran to a dentist and told him that if he did not pull out the tooth I’d commit suicide right there. He then suggested he first drill a hole into the tooth supposing that maybe a gas had been trapped in it. He did and low and behold the pain went away and never returned and was the tooth that ever remained perfect.
A few years ago it became impacted though and got infected bc it was still a baby tooth. It was removed ... but before that the infection ran UP the same route I had felt at the time of those shooting nerve pains and it would end up swelling my whole body with also fatigue and muscle pain. I could “feel” the infection in my body. After the tooth was extracted my body went back to normal... I could actually feel the drainage from my forehead down my face, neck and body as I healed.
If you go on Facebook on mercury dental amalgams groups you will hear a lot of bizarre stories, even bi-polar and schizophrenia being resolved after resolving amalgams or tooth problems. One good one is Andy Cutler safe mercury detox (something like that).

@@terrjarvis8685 .... Also it would be beneficial to have a nutritional analysis blood work up to see what deficiencies in vitamins and essential minerals you’ve got going on. Regular doctors do NOT perform this only holistic practitioners do. Reg doctors do not study nutrition in college they’re just given 12-23 hours in SOME medical schools. Many Chiropractors do . Functional Medicine doctors and Naturopathic Physicians do. Insurance does NOT cover this either. It costs about $500 nowadays.
Deficiency in Vitamin Bs can produce gum and mouth mucosa issues , herpes simplex and dry lips and rashes . So a B Complex would be good to take giving yourself a 2 week break in between. Vitamin D3 too. Then look for those that work WITH Bs and D. Like vitamin C, A, and E. Vitamin C is essential for bone and collagen (D too). Vegetable /food based vitamins are the best.

You may need to choose, implants completely. You are probably gonna deal with teeth issues for tne rest of your life ( it’s your AchillesHeel) .. of course implants have issues , but they are usually the same kind of issues all tne time...and after awhile....they become easy to deal with. I have had the root canals/ swollen lymph’s also..( of course like you I knew it was teeth, but they looked for salvia stones etc until they realized it was my teeth). My hubby has had implants for years..he says there are more pros than cons...( I’m thinking of doing the same). He said food isn’t as tasty as before, but after awhile it’s tasty enough..because you forget just hoe tasty it was before the implants. I have waay more problems with teeth and each year..I get closer to just pulling them all and getting implants. May for you it’s something to consider

I’d look into what dental materials were used in the teeth that were causing the problems and make a note of it. You may have been having a reaction to one of those. I’m a hygienist and had a patient that told a story similar to yours. She said she finally figured out she had a problem with thimerosal. You could potentially react to any material including a variety of dental materials.
Also! Do you clench/grind your teeth? You said you have a cracked tooth in the front. Make sure you wear a night guard if so.
Any chronic thing is no small thing. I’ve had a season of undiagnosable life sucking health problems. I realized through it that I will always have a “thorn in my “flesh” to keep me dependent on God. I naturally default to trying to do it all on my own. And remember...
2 Corinth. 12:9 - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Hang in there. This will get better.

As a Dentist in both Connecticut and Florida, I have heard this type of situation many times. The best advise I can give, is to see someone that can diagnose why this occurred, how to resolve the problem and then restore your dentition to optimal form and function. There is a true oral/systemic connection that should be evaluated. Stress is a huge factor in many aspects of health including oral health.
Good luck in your quest for resolution and finding the correct team to treat you.

I have broken or lost all of my teeth. I have 2 autoimmune diseases, lupus and sjogrens. Sjogrens syndrome is the name for the autoimmune disease that has been the primary destructive force that have destroyed my teeth and gums. I had never had a cavity until I was is my 30s. It was treated with a tooth colored filling, which became loose and fell out and was replaced repeatedly until I was convinced that I had no choice but a root canal and crown. I had gotten sick the last month before my kindergartener classes ended for the school year in May. I was unable to get out of bed for the entire summer vacation and was diagnosed with mononucleosis and Epstein Barr Virus. That was the end of any normal life and my health began to seriously deteriorate in so many areas that I couldn't believe I had no other diagnosis months later after the mono should have been long gone and yet I was falling apart and my joints, muscles, bones, skin, sinuses, throat, ears, glands, teeth etc. were in neverending pain and I always had fever and just wanted to sleep as I was exhausted 100 percent of the time and spent so much time trying to get any extra rest or sleep as I possibly could and felt like I was failing at life, crying in bed. I somehow continued raising my daughters, and kept teaching for another 7 years but I was in unbearable pain and the misery and exhaustion was depressing and I was terrifyingly gaunt, losing my hair, severely underweight and had developed a mouth full of cavities, cracks, constant ulcers, blisters in mouth, swollen taste buds, swollen cuts and 10/10 pain plus facial nerve pain, gum disease, parotid disease and insufficient and unhealthy saliva issues, and a failed root canal and for 2 years, I worked a 2nd job and put every dime left after bills and my responsibilities as the sole provider raising 2 daughters 100% of the time towards having every issue on my extensive treatment plan for every tooth treated, and completed, using monthly cleanings and fluoride treatments, sealants applied, several new root canals, crowns, fillings, bonding and extractions...only to have those teeth begin to fall apart and break ans and lose the new fillings and crowns in less than 6 months and I have been in a descent of pain, shame, infection, abscesses, extensive extractions and surgery for severe dental disease and infection in so much pain for almost 10 years now, as I am in absolute hell, and I no longer work or have any life or even a close friend or family member. My teeth break off at gum line.I have 8 badly damaged teeth left and they hurt all of the time. The dentists keep pushing me to go the implant route and I will never afford that. I have nothing but medicaid and I can't afford dentures, which 3 dentists said would not work out well. But I can't go through these cycles of sheer misery and agony while eating mush and still my teeth continue to break or crumble or crack and I have pain, infection, failed dental cleansing, suffer with major oral problems implication .I have broken or lost all of my teeth. We may never know but I do know others' have greatly helped me through the worst of times. I was a young widow and more recently on disability from complications of one surgery, which, due to treatment of that, they found I needed a completely unrelated, well, neurosurgery. It sounds like a lot, and in the moment, it felt really frustrating and upsetting and it was smack in the early stages of covid also. All the medical specialists, appts, waiting and tests, similar to your situation, was a maddening struggle. I can empathize with what you're talking about. I must tell you about a product for your mouth. It will kill the bacteria in your mouth BEFORE you get your dental work done. From what I understand, this has happening for years. The bacteria in our mouth gets into our bloodstream while having work done; therefore causing all kinds of issues.
      It’s called TheraGel by Aroga.
It’s made up of Aloe & essential oils. Swish and swallow! It continues do do great things in the body.
It’s also a great pain reliever ; trust me I speak from personal experience!! Go ahead and get the 6pack 8 ounce bottles. Great for skin and scars and burns!

My friend got over a rigorous round of chemo and radiation. At 45 she was lucky she survived. Hence massive weight loss. She got strong enough to join a gym. To promote muscle mass and destress. At the gym, a woman who thought she was a HBIC (high bish in charge), said to get "What are you working out so hard for, your a stick". My friend reached into her shirt and showed her port line. Then said with her voice that's now a whisper (due to radiation frying her vocal cords) "Cancer. Need to get stronger". NO ONE NEEDS TO COMMENT ON ANOTHER'S WEIGHT. it's rude and just because there's a revolution of "thicc chicks" doesn't mean a skinny person should be shamed. Sadly a year later her cancer is back. But yeah, it boils my blood when the body positive movement only applies to "curvy, slim thick" women.

I hope you never get sick and lose all your baby fat! Boy oh boy… the looks those 19-20 ur olds gave me lol… They don’t like rudeness but sure do love to do it to other. Funny thing is after that time it never really happened again. Now I just stare at their grocery carts full of junk food…. Then happily look at mine is full of the best juices, organic fruits and veggies. Trashy low class mean girls don’t like classy elegant ladies. We make their blood boil.

I think you look fabulous I absolutely love your hair, its so gorgeous and vibrant! Please keep on doing what you're doing as you are teaching all of us (especially us old people as I am 69) but the products you promote are absolutely wonderful. THANK YOU, KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!

THIS HIT SO HARD. 🥺 I went through a lot of this too. People think “they’re just teeth,” but they forget that talking, eating, smiling, so many things rely on that part of your body. I went through so many fillings, root canals, abscesses, broken teeth, etc. SO MUCH PAIN. 🥺 It causes so much emotional stress from having difficulty in doing basic, regular, normal things that other people take for granted. It got to the point where they told me that I could spend the money on reconstruction, with no guarantees, but it could be THOUSANDS down the drain. Two and a half years ago, I just told them to just take my teeth, I was done. I had my entire upper arch extracted and replaced, and the post-op pain (which honestly sucked) was almost therapeutic, compared to the pulsating mass of infection that was trapped in my jaw that just wouldn’t heal. A lot of my chronic sinus issues and ear infections went away, which was huge. I also haven’t had strep again since I was extracted, and I don’t know if that was related, but it’s still a win. People don’t understand the pain unless they’ve been through it, like you and I have. I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this too, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. It literally affects someone on a daily basis, 24/7. I hope that you’re able to finally get some answers, and it sounds like you have a good oral health team that you trust, which makes things a little easier. ❤️

Seems like I was born with terrible teeth. I’ve always gone to the dentist every 6 months since I was a kid.I brush, floss and use a water pik daily but nothing helps. I have new cavities every visit! My husband on the other hand sees a dentist like every ten years and they tell him he has perfect teeth! I’ve had so much dental work that I hate even looking at my X-rays because you see it all. So frustrating to live like this. 😞

SHEA! Leaving my comment (story?) here to maybe offer some hope to you and others.
I'm in my late 20s now and I had jaw pain and bite issues from the first time with braces as an early teen. Got my braces off, but by my senior year of high school I suddenly had an open bite. My orthodontist put me back in braces, but by college I had an open bite AGAIN, even with intense retainers (and lots of gum recession as a result), and I was pissed. Things went on until my mid 20s when the jaw pain came back and it was *bad*. I could hardly eat, was on a soft food diet. Once again, my bite was getting worse, and I noticed my lower jaw and face was... really small? I basically had no chin. I was insecure about my face, my bite, and couldn't believe this was my life.
Lots of details later, but I ultimately learned I have a rare thing called idiopathic condylar resorption, so quite literally since my teen years my lower jaw bone has been eroding away. This caused my bite to open up and for my face to look super weird and unattractive. I am now waiting for a total joint replacement for my jaw. Only one tooth touches, my jaw joints are in pain every day, I am in braces for the third time, and have extensive tooth damage for all the years of orthodontic work. I have never had a defined and normal jaw line in my adulthood. All of this to say that, after finding the right care providers (and fighting insurance), the only life I've known of teeth pain, jaw pain, sleep apnea, etc. is about to end (for the better). Don't listen to the naysayers who are not walking in your shoes. Your mouth is critical to your wellbeing, and pain is never ok no matter where the pain originates. Continue to see the right providers, get other opinions, until this gets resolved. It CAN and WILL get better!
Also, if you have not already, perhaps get checked for Sjogren's - an autoimmune disease that can cause tons of teeth problems.
Rooting (pun intended!) for you Shea!

I feel you so hard on this. I've spent 10k on my teeth this year and I'm still not done. I'm tired of dentists and it never seems to end. I'm working on 5 implants, 2 sinus lifts and many bone grafts. I'm trying to hold on to my gratitude because at least I can afford these treatments. I'm generally upbeat, but there are bad days. Hi Shea, it is very true that we all struggle with things in life, but we also all have "that one thing" that we wish "if I just didn't have this" our lives would be better. Thank you for being willing to share because it makes us vulnerable. It also makes us "real". I applaud your courage. Thank you for telling your story.
