About to start my si
Wow 😮
Did you ever install the type s oil pump on the k24? I have the same JDM K24 odyssey absolute engine on my FG2, trying to see if it’s worth it to upgrade the oil pump. Also looking to get the 50 degree VTC gear
The oil pump is definitely worth it, but go civic type R instead of rsx type s oil pump.
i got type s oil pump and 50° it’s nice and will definitely not be a bottle neck
just did my k24 swap and man the difference is amazing. Torque makes a whole difference in the car. What clutch are you using in yours? i got action clutch stage 3 6 puck and man it is not friendly for regular street driving lol
K24 all day! I just swapped a k24a2 in my 8th gen. Huge torque difference. 4500rpm vtech hits hard! Way more fun to drive!
@@user-un4kq8mx7b hell yeah dude, i added the 50 vtc from my k20 and the 4piston type s pump and wow it wakes up the car once its tuned and its way better k20 with the torque and real vtec
Unless yours is making 500-600 ft lbs of wheel torque which I highly doubt, i’d never recommend anyone to use that clutch for street driving.
@@its.Andy1 that clutch cant handle that much torque. called action clutch to confirm the amount of torque its rated for an no more than about 250lb ft
@@jared58974 oh sorry I thought you meant the one made by ACT lol their six puck is made for almost 700 torque. I drove my friends 800whp evo x that has that one and it bites lol
hey gerb what advise u can give me, i just uninstalland return my car back to stock from hondata flash pro to get ready for a california smog, 750miles and counting all emission systems are ready except the "catalyst"
did i do something wrong or am i missing anything???
any advice would be helpful im due on 2weeks time
thanks!!!
Usually cruising steady speed on the highway for about an hour will set that monitor.
Ayyye we early
You ever down in eastern PA I got a N/A 300+ hp built k20/24 fa5 to take you for a ride in....... redlines at 9200 😊
I’m in PA a few times a week
@@TheGerbsteve truckin or in the civic ?
@@TheGerbsteve lmk
I blew my k20 so I’m doing a k20/k24 build and was wondering what you thought the difference would be
Thats the best thing you can do to a k series, its literally best of both engines, you get the higher rpm from the k20 and low end torque from the k24
Something doesn't seem like everything is working well together it should run a lot different than that,🤔
I got my ek with the built motor and turbo on. If you come to hday in April. We can do a joy ride in the shitbox. Lol
I would love to see it! I need to be turbo by then!
How to get 225hp in k20z3 asp
What’s the exhaust setup, it’s so deep I love it
3” godsnow catback. They are hard to find nowadays
bro got 27 more horsepower
225whp not crank - he’s probably making 260/270 crank, 58/68 more horsepower. Bro
Mrwalk needs more than a calculator 😂
@@user-un4kq8mx7b I thought the k20s come 197 hp and the k24 come with 205 ?
His car has a fbo k24 iirc
So it went from 205bhp to 250ish bhp = 225whp @mrwalk8128
225whp = 240..MAYBE 250 crank hp @@joeymcquilkin3670
What type of dyno was your car on ?
Mustang

Yes indeed
rip midnight
