Well, now I know why, when I host a party and some folks stay up later and we go to the finished basement, the kids who've gone to bed on the second floor don't hear a peep from my secondary system down there. There's a drop ceiling in the basement hence, the sound doesn't carry. I just knew that we could do both! LOL

Dropped ceiling have their issues, particularly rattling braces not to mention acoustical effects. Oh, there's a lot more I could say but if it doesn't wake the kids, then there is success in that.

@@audibleeleganceinc Oh yes, it works for those purposes. Not my primary "listening system". It's good for tunes while shooting pool or turning off annoying commentators during sports telecasts.
