😂 I always knew something dodgy with those ghost talking apps. I'm very skeptical of them. I do believe in the paranormal but approach it with my scientific skeptical hat on. I've seen things which I cannot disprove scientifically or psychologically and have to say it was or could of been paranormal.
That's my methodology exactly! The second those apps started to be used it only took me a short time to work out it was simply a randomiser that played pre-loaded phrases and words. I watch enough ghost hunting vids to see that it threw out identical phrases, to the point where I could tell when the app had received an update and it now had different phrases. Everyone was getting "the children died here" "go left" and "my body here"

I'm very skeptical of most Ghost Hunting tech as most of it has faults or pick up interference from insects, degraded radio frequencies etc etc. The thing I also found interesting many use old dictator recorders and pick up EVP and they get all excited yet the film camera with it's up to date microphone never picks these EVPs up even when the camera mic is close to the dictator recorder. I'm sure as hell would expect it to pick up something but it never does. Although I know camera mics do pick up the odd vocal anomalies. But when in the same room as a EVP session it picks nothing up 😂

I agree with you 100% about now knowing what we know about the phone app, so therefore all evidence captured using that app makes it not credible
I got so disappointed when they stared using apps and the Kinect. So well done Mythos, this is a great catch.🤩 Also because I think their credibility is everything. I commented about it lots of times. I rather listen to the spirit box than they using apps. I mean they should know they are old enough to read the info on the app. But as you say it takes away the whole experience from watching them. Every new episode I hope they get rid of the stupid toys, they started using. The Kinect hasn’t been their for a while, thank good. So I still have hope in them, so I hope this makes them stop using apps to. So we can go back to old school again❤ have continued watching them cause I love watching them, but have not taken any word seriously ever when they used the app. And actually get a little upset when they do. Still they don’t use it all the time thank good. I don’t mind experimenting and testing new stuff, but when things get shown as not a device to use, don’t. I understand that that they want to reach all ages, but staying true to your self is the most important thing. That’s why I started watching them. But I really hope they think otherwise now. So these paranormal "investigators" are supposed to be investigating, right? Why don't they look into these apps & things then? Or have they & they don't care because they just use it for another one of their "tricks"/lies?
I used to like these guys. But the more I watched them, the more things I could pick out that makes it seem fake. For 1, they supposedly go in by themselves(to make it seem creepier, I guess, or make them seem braver 🤷♀) while the other(s) supposedly sits in the car/van. Ya, right! That's when most of the stuff(knocks, taps, voices, moving, etc.) happen.
& as you mentioned they use "demon" A LOT! Just because a spirit(if its even one) might seem grumpy or mean, doesn't mean its a demon. Yet they call all of them demons! 😩
& never fails, EVERYWHERE, every video, every week or more, they catch a ton of supposed "evidence". & really good, relevant "evidence", too. Hmmm...... 🤔 Wow! Either they're the luckiest people on earth or I dunno ... maybe faking some or all?
They also go into the religious stuff to make them seem more credible & trustworthy(prayer, holy water, blessings, etc.). Well, there's a BIG problem with that. If they were really "religious" & good Christians & in contact with "priests" that supposedly help them & supply the "holy water", etc. They'd know(plus others have told them, unless they don't read their comments), or if the "priests" were legit, they'd know that in the Bible God says DO NOT interact/talk with the dead! So, if He's saying that, do you really think He is going to help or protect them, the homes or places they go in, etc.? He also told Adam & Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree outside the garden. He didn't protect them when they went against what He told them. They were kicked out of the garden of all good & never allowed to return. Soooooooo ......... 🤔
So they're(Paranormal Nightmare) are giving all these people, false hope! 😢
Not only that but for every lie/trick, is a sin. & for every person that watches that 1 thing & is tricked is a sin. How many do they have in 1 video? Maybe 20 or more? So for example, hundreds of thousands of people who watch just that 1 trick(= 1 sin) that's 200 some thousand sins. & that's just for 1 video. Go figure! 🤷♀

One thing I know as a Christian is that there are Christians such as myself who do not believe that communicating with human spirits is an actual thing but that all real paranormal entities are demons (or more rarely angels), so that could be the reason why they say "demon" a lot, because I do that as it is my belief (regardless of if what is happening seems kind or mean). The Bible does say to not try to contact the dead, but demons aren't "dead" and it's generally accepted that the Bible says this so that people aren't interacting with demons thinking that they are human souls that can be good and fall into a trap or be tricked by them. Jesus does say in the Bible that we can cast out demons in his name, however it isn't something any of us should just assume that if we have strong faith we will be safe doing so. I've never watched these guys, but unless they are going through some serious preparations before going to these places they should know they are asking for trouble (if they are indeed Christians). If they are in contact with priests and actually believe that what they are encountering is actually a demon I would think the correct/best/wisest thing to do would be to gather as much evidence as they could without trying to converse with it and hand it over to a priest so he can take care of the situation properly or he can counsel the homeowners on what they should be doing as they'd have more authority in their own home than these random guys. I agree with what you said in your comment though, only clearing up what I thought might be either a Biblical misunderstanding or letting you know a different Christian interpretation of those few things.
@@weezerfan084 Thank you for your reply. You're right. There are different "religions", practices & views. These guys come across from their actions & things they video that they are probably more Catholic type Christians(though I could be wrong). & in that sense, the Bible says not to "talk" to or interact with the dead. There's only 1 Bible & it specifically says Do Not Talk or interact with the dead! So, if these guys are communicating with ghosts, spirits, or whatever, they're communicating with the dead. They also say or ask the supposed spirit box(which is fake) for people who have died/passed on. However, I haven't heard them specifically say what religion they practice. The prayers they say & holy water they use, sign of the cross, rosary & certain things(showing the church they go to) seems more Catholic type, to me. 🤷
Though, since they don't really say what religion they are/practice, it makes me wonder if their "actions" are being used just to come across as more credible/trustworthy(which people do, even when they're not religious, to try & show they should be more "trustworthy"). But why would they need to do that? Because I think more & more are starting to question how they can always get SO much activity, everywhere they go, every week or more. Something(s) just don't add up with them. Most paranormal doesn't happen for most the way it ALWAYS happens for these guys & SO often. There's a bunch of supposed paranormal stuff that happens in just 1 video(more than most have happen in a lifetime) & it happens every week or more in every video to every place they go. Just seems a lil weird, imho.
Which is also why I brought up the "sins" too. Because if they really are "religious" & using religion, wouldn't they be worried about all the sins they're doing? & then continue to do? If not, then they really aren't "religious" & need to stop acting like it & portraying something they aren't. Which means they're lying about other things too.(possibly the ghosts/demons). 🤔
For the 1st part of your comment, either way, they really shouldn't be interacting with the dead or "demons". I think they're doing it more for notoriety, popularity, clicks & views(is more what I was trying to say).
Its not just 1 demon, there's a demon or demons in every place they go(new video, different place, every week or more, for many many years). They never called them "demons" before. Just the past year or so have they been calling them demons(& now in pretty much every video). Before they said ghost or spirit. & EVERY video is the Scariest, Most Dangerous or the Worst Haunting or possession ever, etc. That is, until the next week for the next video. lol! I think they're just doing that more for clicks/views(that = $$$). Every week, every video they need to make it seem worse or more dangerous so they can try to get more clicks/views & subs. 🤷♀ & if so, it makes me question, what else are they doing for clicks/views? 🤔
You really should take a look at some of their past video's. I have heard them mention before that they are "preparing" to go to another haunted location. But what "preparing" means to them, I'm not sure. They don't say whether its preparing(like packing the car up with their equipment, etc.) or preparing mentally or religiously.
See that's what I was thinking too. Should "these guys" really be the one's trying to get rid of a "demon" from someone's home or someone who's possessed or thinks they're possessed? Almost every week(there for a while)? Shouldn't that really be up to a priest or other religious authority? Not just some guys that make video's for CZcams? 🤷

Honestly, I think a lot of these supposed paranormal investigators got bored going to places & nothing happening. So they started "making" things happen. & in doing that, more people started watching. They started being recognized more, more Subs & therefore making more & more money. So they did it even more. When others seen the recognition & views(= money) they were getting, they jumped on board too(seeing how easy it was). But now that they're SO wrapped up in it, they can't come clean/tell the truth or they'll lose it all(their channel, probably most of their subs & the money). But its not right to keep lying & tricking the people who support them.

Yep, both apps would be the same 😆 last I checked, phone makers don't put a ghost detector chip in their phones. I mean JESUS!!!! Why do people think phone apps can do anything like this????? Beyond mind boggling. Human beings were not meant to be THIS hopelessly stupid. What a shame.
Doesn't this also mean they totally took advantage of that poor woman who was terrified of living in her house? I would bet my legs they know the phone apps are bullsht. Just making content like everybody else.
This only proves every channel is fake, which is no revelation to me anyway. Hopefully the "fans" are realizing now. As purely entertainment this is great, I watch some channels too. But to believe all that is just the ultimate disrespect to your own intellect.

I'm so glad you posted this, as I do enjoy their channel a lot... But the responses of late have seemed TOO relevant compared to the past, and I was wondering what had changed. It all suddenly makes so much more sense now, as I don't bother knowing much about the apps various paranormal investigators use... I hope they cease using this app, as their genuine nature was what drew me to their channel in the first place.

When it comes to the Foreman Brothers they lost all credibility for me a while back when in one of their videos they were investigating a woman with a demon possession. Paranormal Quest did an investigation involving the same woman and when they booked her a hotel room while they investigated the residence they said in a followup video that she invited a group of friends over and had a wild party on PQ's dime.
A couple of months later Paranormal Nightmare investigated a different location with a demonic attack/possession involved and it was the same even though they blurred her face out it was the same woman they were just calling her a different name.
I know it was the same person because PQ was collaborating with them a lot and PQ didn't blur her face. Mind you these were supposedly two separate cases of a woman being viciously attacked and possessed by a demon. It was either the same woman or demonic attachments and possession run in the family because if it wasn't the same woman they could definitely be twins.
After noticing that I can't trust that these two are legit and don't watch them. Sadly I don't remember the title of the video as it was a while back but anyone who wants to dig deep should be able to cross reference the Paranormal Nightmare and Paranormal Quest videos and find it.

There was no claim that this was a seperate case. They just aired them at different times.
@@5jjt There was another video that they did at a separate location a month or two after that one with the same woman that they called a different name.
I mentioned the video where they blurred the face not because I thought that the PQ episode was a separate investigation but because the PQ video where her face wasn't blurred is how I recognized her on the second PN video when they were investigating the same type of incident but calling her a different name.
I don't recall a "same woman" video after the collab they did with PQ. If you know the name, please share. I have watched all of their videos on both channels, and I don't know what you're talking about, not trying to be an asshole.
@@jadatomak4168 I don't remember the title of the video, it was at a different location same situation though, when they did the interview with her I recognized her voice even though she was wearing a different outfit. Same face and hair. If I knew how long ago that video was I'd look through their catalog to find it. I haven't watched them in quite a long time so I don't remember what time frame the video was in. Nobody has to take my word for it but I do remember that was the reason I stopped watching their channel, before that I thought it was kinda neat.

As someone who cannot afford an actual device, like an alice box, i use spirit talker and use it on airplane mode. Im skeptical still and even with the noises in my home as well but, some i truly cannot debunk, same with certain things said.
Good catch Mythos. I’ve been watching the brothers for a long time and they have stated in the past they don’t necessarily trust the apps. Additionally the guys have used the actual Spirit Talker you know almost exclusively. I’ve never seen them use this Apple only app so it may just be a try out as they take recommendations from viewers and others. Overall I believe the Fourman brothers to be honest and I’ve heard them say they can’t rely on an app.
I should say I’m an American living in the UK. I know where they’re from is very religious and conservative. Still the guys are genuine and I don’t think they take any particular equipment as proof.

@Mythos I meant to say that the Fourman brothers usually use Ghost Tube and I personally don’t like apps but as mentioned I know they don’t seem to rest their opinions on devices. I know they help families and are genuinely good guys. I know people want to debunk but the brothers are not trying to rake in money but more about helping people. They do cleansing in a more Christian tradition, and they’re always available to those they have worked with.
I respect your opinion truly but the boys are rare in that their hearts are sincere. One brother, Shaun, is more fearful of the unknown but he’s been trying hard to be more brave.

Im almost sure they use both of them as im sure one brother has an i phone and an android phone as ive seen him with both phone in a couple of there vids and i think ive seen them on a live Q&A plus im sure if we reached out to them they would let us know Mythos keep up the great work as ever :)
I think these spirit talking apps have location trackers in them. That way when they use them the apps will give you words familiar to the location they are at. I also feel the spirit app makers that travel to these haunted locations using their own apps are there just to program their apps to be familiar to the locations they are at. Coincidental? I just don’t think so. Any app is programmable. Plus some apps let the user add words to the word banks which helps the makers out too on that location. I just feel it’s the location trackers on all of these apps.

I watch ALL of Paranormal Nightmares video and I have seen them use a lot of different ghost box apps. Sometimes they will even each be using a different one. So maybe they just like experimenting to see what different ones are capable of. ? 🤷♀️
I was hesitant on apps. The one I chose was ghost tube that Amy and jared created. I don't investigate much but when I've used it I have received responses that seem legit to where I've been or what I've been doing.
I remember when they didn't use apps and such. I guess the apps weren't around back then. They used a spirit box, the quick radio frequency scanning and EVP, recording Qs and As. They have started to use the word demon' in the thumbnails, like heaps of other paranormal channels are doing. I'm guessing it's to do with the YT algorithm and clicks? Wonder what the next word du jour will be?
I agree. If they can just do the original investigation like what they did in the beginning. But now a day's the app has taken over the investigations. And i think it's crap. But i like them. It's just the app that makes it not believable anymore.

I tried watching their new Monroe House episode and the entire thing was just painful to watch. For ANY “investigator” to use JUST an app, (all of which are fake. I don’t care what the creator claims,) they have zero actual content. All Josh did was follow the fake app around and react to IT, rather than actually investigate.

We are like one of the best teams on youtube when it comes to communications. Necrometer, Spirit Talker, and Necrophonics do in fact 100% work...those are the only three we use, but we go in airplane mode, and we are both spirit sensitives which gives us better abilities to talk to spirits. These three apps we use work due to cores and sensors in the phones that hear the vibrations of unheard disembodied voices and translate them. There are shit tons of fake teams out there that use fake apps....but I assure our stuff is legit, cause we also get REAL disembodied voices and actual activity.

I like the fourman brothers they and Paranormal Quest guys are my last bastion of hope for proper you tube ghost hunters. Yes I don't trust the apps and more go for what they actually capture with camera and mics (albeit no tricks on their part)

I have one that no one uses on CZcams and is made by another CZcams channel.. it’s called Ghost Tube.. and I have left it on and got nothing but I also have never gotten clear responses to any of my questions.. id be interested to see your take on this..
The brothers actually use that app as well. So does Paranormal Quest and the creators, Amy's Crypt, just to name a few.

This is good investigative work. Honestly though I had a theory that all the apps were exactly that. Honestly I’m very happy that this app states that it’s AI. Excellent point that they shouldn’t use it. I do understand that some legit channels use app and know they aren’t real state that they aren’t, but use that to have something to bounce off of. I don’t think that’s necessary. We had one person bring out an app on an investigation (video not out yet). She believed in it. But… I’m very against the use of apps. I think there is no point if you know it’s just AI. To each their own their own I guess.
@@Spitfirethedragon you have a valid point. When Zack and I talk about that apps my debate (to play devils advocate) has always been that I think anything can be manipulated by a non physical entity. However it’s the statistical reality that apps are more likely to be AI generated responses. And it’s that inconsistent and inconclusive data that makes me not want to use them. I can say the probability of the app saying “danger” is pretty high. So the probability of this being a mere coincidence is probably higher than 50%. As an investigator I would say coincidences are weird… but not proof. Where you get into a compelling anomaly is where it falls in to the less likely coincidence and/or pattern. For example at our third tunnel investigation the spirit box kept saying “get out” not only on one but two different boxes. Not only that but in also said “not good” and “trust me”. Latter it said “Estes” repeating the words we just said, talking about doing the Estes method. Which could be coincidence since we were only 3 hours from Estes Park, co. But the timing was so precise. In my opinion because the spirt box is not AI and more just scanning that coincidence tends to be less of a factor. Even though I can’t rule it out. All the times it said “get out” is far more compelling. Especially since that place really is dangerous. The tunnel had caved in twice. And thus was blocked off. Rain… and sandstone are not a good mix. I was truly terrified that night. And it had nothing to do with paranormal and all to do with nature and whatever shady people that may be out in the mountains.

Honestly don’t have full trust of a lot of people. I trust my husband. And our collaboration agreement (that everyone that comes with us signs) has a stipulation against any falsifying evidence. That’s because I don’t fully trust anyone. Don’t get me wrong. I have a lot of trust in my team and friends. But not If I catch someone manipulating anything, they are out. And we will fully call them out. Native American language would be both compelling and make me suspicious. My thoughts would immediately go to they looked up native language words to add to the bank. Not hard to do if you think about it. I mean if I wanted to fake that, it would be easy. I am English speaking. I know only a few words in other languages. So 0 knowledge. But it would be very easy to just look up some stuff from the internet and add it. Im not saying they did. But how easy it is to do that, how easy app are to manipulate… this make it hard to give any credibility to the viewer. Another reason we will not use them. We want to use things that are less likely manipulated. As they give more credibility. Not 100%, but more. Because let’s say (as I’m sure you trust your friends) it was 100% not manipulated. There is no way to prove that to the viewers as apps are not a credible reliable source, anyone can look up information and add it. Even as trustworthy as someone is in real life. From the viewer standpoint it’s hard to give credit to apps. For skeptical minded people credibility goes Strat out the window. I know cause my husband is very skeptical of everything. So when he sees stuff like that he becomes more skeptical that the investigators are legit. Look at it this way. If you knew that a blood test was that easy to manipulate and there was no one holding a lab accountable for standards of practice (except themselves), and on top of that blood tests were known to give false information 90% of the time… would they be able to use that in court? Would people have any faith in them even as superficial evidence? Because the answer is no, even as fun as the apps may be to use, and give you as the person using it an experience that was interesting (maybe even compelling), I still find them harmful to serious investigation. That’s just my opinion though. I don’t fault anyone wanting to experiment with them, or use them just so they aren’t talking to thin air. We use Ouija boards. And they are highly subjective and can be easily manipulated or faked. We trust each other to not move it. And just like Beardo we want to do our own experiments. Especially with Mythos’s video. We want to try the cards on top thing. We touch so lightly that I don’t think it will show a push or a drag. But I don’t know for sure. So experiments are necessary.

I believe in the paranormal but iv always been skeptical about shows or videos involving it. The Apps and devices seem like they could be faked easily but iv also never used one before.
This is good, but I would say it's probably used due to ignorance, not maliciousness. But they will probably want to get rid of the app ASAP. Just so nothing is discredited, maybe have a dev check into the IPA file and see what it's actually doing. A lot of those apps have to use legal terminology too so they're not liable for someone else's stupidity.,

AI or not. Is it possible out side forces could effect electrical devices? I had a lot of weird things happen right after the death of a friend of mine. Like GoPro cameras turning on recording and turning off. Music on my phone playing that I don’t have. A kid of 2 yrs old running through the house chasing something in the air and saying the dead friends name. So who knows
I think alot of people use these apps because they just want to try out new tech with older techniques,or use certain toys because tha thats what alot of viewers want to see. There are some apps that are really crap. And some that might be ok.
I dont devalue a show just bc they use apps. Thats just one type of tech to use

However i haven't always believed all the evidence they have gotten - it seems a little "embellished" at times 🙊

Hi, in order to use the microphone the App will have to ask you for permission, without you granting that permission then they can't use it. Also, there are now little LED indicators at the top of your phone that will light up when the microphone is being accessed, thanks

I used to watch Paranormal Scholar until they decided to do ouija board session 'live' and started recomending ghost talking apps.
The idea that a phone app has the ability to accurately transmit the thoughts of departed human spirits has always been silly to me.

I have always wondered why people think their channel is so real? They are the only team who use those apps that consistently get called by name, they have terrible interviews with people who come across as amateur actors half the time, and they get more "evidence" in one episode than any other channel of respectable incestigators gets in a year... Conveniently their "cleansings" get rid of the ghosts in every location except the ones making money from it so there's a good excuse for any other team not finding anything if they try to investigate the same places
These guys are very legit they don't play around with garbage apps .......they really help people so using bad apps they need to look at their stuff but these are the only paranormal investigators that are 100% legit.....

Clearly they do if they’re using a garbage app. They may not know it but that’s on them for not researching their tools.
They were always fake. 97% of their content is unobservable. They see something they get touched they get pushed down stairs they freak out but there is nothing on camera. Its just them LARPing as ghost hunters. They are very good at that.
