I love the small town of Snowflake, Vermont in the Soup Lovers mysteries by Connie Archer. Sounds like a great place to visit, and have a warm bowl of homemade soup on a snowy day. I can so easily experience this kind of cute town, as I live in Vermont, and not too far from Stowe.
I Just found your channel and I m so glad! Well, I'm 35 and I bought a kindle cause I'm dealing with some serious problems and I needed something to relax me before sleep time. At first I bought sweet valley and then I saw accidentally cozy mysteries and my life changed! I live in Greece so we don't know about this kind of books. I really have a great time and they relax me sooo much. I want to travel to these towns too, although they are not real!
Thank you for the great video! I love the Booktown series setting also. I think my favorite town is from the Domestic Diva series. She lives in Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia. It is a very old area and she does a great job of describing the old brick buildings, cobblestone streets, etc. The characters are always walking places so that helps with the descriptions also. I do not like to travel at all but I think I have to visit!
I just found your channel and am so glad I did! I also love small town stories. My favorite is found in The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. The way Alaska was described made me want to go there. It had the main street and the local shoppes that you described. I found that the most inviting part of this book was the description of the fall and the winter. The mountains and the trees. Watching your video gave me the realization that in order to be a reader of novels, you must have a great imagination to truly enjoy the story.
@@IntentionallyBookish If you do, I hope you enjoy it like I did! Congratulations on motherhood. I started listening to more audiobooks when I became a mom. Great alternative when low on time.
Love cozy mysteries, too. I'm a foodie, so cozies with recipes are my favorites. Hannah Swensen Series (Lake Eden, MN), Goldy Bear Catering mysteries (Aspen Meadow, CO). Coffee House Mysteries are in a large city, but does have well developed characters in the Village Blend. You turned me on to Ellie Alexander, so I'm going to start a new series with her, soon (The Bake Shop mystery).
Karen Carter the Bakeshop mysteries are so fun! And I agree, I love the cast of characters in Village Blend - makes the West Village SEEM like a small town! đ
Hi. I love the idea for this video. Itâs fantastic, and I enjoyed it so much! You are a girl after my own heart. I love the Murder She Wrote series. Iâve mentioned in the comments before that Iâve read about 40 of the books. I love the idea of Cabot Cove, and wish I could visit there as well. The books that take place in Cabot Cove are my favorites as well. I also love the Booktown series. I just finished book #8. I would adore visiting that town as well. I love cold weather and would be in heaven visiting a town that was filled with bookstores. And, yes, the mystery book store would be my first stop as cozy mysteries are my favorite genre đđđ
Lisa Ashby thank you! Your comments always brighten my day. đ I need to catch up to you in my Murder She Wrote collection! đ Even though Cabot Cove isnât real, I read that Kennebunkport has Cabot Cove vibes so itâs on my bucket list to visit one day!
You should check out the Whitstable Pearl Mysteries by Julie Wassmer! The main character owns a restaurant with her mother and has a detective agency on the side :)
I am super enjoying your cozy up to series. I used to read nothing but cozy mysteries, but havenât read any for a while. This has got me so excited, and Iâve added so many books to my TBR. â€ïž
I would love to live in Applebottom from the book Mistletoe Summer, Creel Creek from The Witching Hour series, or (from tv) the town of Middleton from The Good Witch.
Iâm so happy i found your channel! I love cozies and every fall Iâm on the lookout for recommendations so thank you and keep em coming! Btw my favorite setting is usually the Cotswolds in UK. Iâm into Miss Marple from a kid! Anyway thank you and also your dog is adorable!âșïž
Not a cozy town, but the first location that comes to mind - that I wanted to explore more - is the giants' graveyard from the Fifth Conflux series. It's the home of a cult of diviners/astronomers. They live in an area with countless stone towers, said to be the petrified remains of giants that were buried face down with their legs up in the air. A good place to remain isolated and gaze at the stars.
In Mason Stone's 'Murder Most Fowl' most characters have bird names: MInah, Fowler, Osprey, Hawkins and Finch. Since you like puns. Oh, and a fried chicken in the car of the murdered rich guy.
Hi, do you or anyone knows of a cozy small town set in America, not Jan Karon, that has a small town with a diner or inn? I read cozies all the time, so I was thinking of an American small town setting that is not a mystery, just a nice novel or story. Any ideas?
Mason Stone series "Live Free or Die" on Kindle has the sleuth (an attorney) spending most of his time in the local diner with a journalist and the chief of police. They consume a lot of all-day breakfasts, lol.
I just found your channel through Tia's recommendation, and I am so glad I found a booktuber who talks about cozy mysteries! I subscribed :) I want to start talking about them on my channel too :)
I love spending hours in a book shop! A little slice of happiness â€đ
Totally!!
I love books about books, bookstores, libraries, cruise ships, mansions, b and bâs,. You and I would get along so well....
weâre cut from the same cloth! I canât get enough. Glad to see Iâm not the only one. đ
I really enjoy when authors put maps inside their books even if they are just an outline of the town.
Yes, itâs such a fun touch!

Literature is just amazing.
Agreed!

That's awesome! Another bird pun writer. Thanks!
I agree with you about Storyton, and I wish Storyton Hall Resort really existed. I would love to go.
