Alma Preaches the Word of God

In the Book of Mormon, Alma experienced his own change of heart and redemption from his sins. He had turned his heart from God, yet God had not turned away from him. When Alma shared this experience, he encouraged all to seek their own change of heart.
“He preached the word unto your fathers, and a mighty change was also wrought in their hearts, and they humbled themselves and put their trust in the true and living God. And behold, they were faithful until the end; therefore they were saved” (Alma 5:13).
We all make mistakes. Yet we are asked to humble ourselves as we repent of our sins. This humility helps us to change our ways and experience a mighty change of heart.
When we repent, Jesus Christ will give us redemption and change through His Atonement. We ALL need Jesus Christ to be healed and to be changed for the better.
