    They actually did not steal the designs, they have a very big design group and are actually building bikes for KTM to distribute through the Eastern European and Asian markets . They are now partners with KTM to supply the 390 and smaller bike engines and the new V-Twins for KTM going forward. There are some older videos of them visiting the CfMoto factory on CZcams.

    Greetings from Wisconsin! I Just found this channel, I appreciate your mechanic experience. I've driven semi truck for 30yrs, many loads delivering atv/utv. We would go all over the country delivering them from the manufacturers, (this is how I learned Can Am side by sides come out of Mexico, the side by sides El Paso, and water craft Laredo) so one day I'm loading in northern Minnesota and I see 6 crates outside the aren't that manufacturer's machines. I asked the loader, he said, we tear down the competition's machines to make sure we don't get left behind with new technology. You probably know this too, but just in case it's your 1st time plowing with a winch, keep checking your cable, they eventually fray from the same spot bearing the weight of the plow. Obviously depending on frequency of use. Here in Wisconsin I loved the plow on my side by side, but every 2 yrs I'd cut the cable and shorten it to "fresh" cable, as the 1st time I didn't, I was away and the wife was plowing, and it broke, which is a bad deal. Lol. The strap on the winch is a "finger saver". There is a horrible old video of a guy helping his buddy winch a truck, I think, and he grabbed the hook and his buddy winched the wrong direction and his fingers got wrapped around the spool. I have a UFORCE 1000 I just bought and am very harpy with it, but my hood was a challenge, because it's not in the owner's manual, and my dealer said it's tricky, leave it alone.???. But I figured it out from a picture of one in a crate with it off, then posted a how to video. I think they're great machines. Awesome price. But it takes a "community" of owners sharing tricks, knowledge, and experiences to make up for the "all alone" feeling you can get on parts or accessories, or questions. Sorry so long, lol I've the gift of gab.

      Interesting comments. i definitely noticed some wear on my winch cable and that was only with 3 or so plows (got the atv and snow plow late in the season). I do love how helpful the community has been. It was my subscribers and comments that allowed me to fix a shifting issue I had from new. I feel like we are all part of a new wave with these machines. They are definitely picking up in popularity, because the people have a voice and they want more CFMOTO off road machines. As the groups continue to grow, I think we will see a stronger brand reputation and there wont be as many naysayers. These bikes are solid and Im looking forward to see what others can do with it. I see some people on youtube already pushing the machines to their limits. Maybe I’ll have to just send it!

    Hi CFMOTO MAN, great video, I love detailed reviews like this. Thought I share some insights. About brakes, it is more common for atvs to have only three brakes, two on the front on each wheel and one on the back, on the propeller shaft. One is sufficient, since rear differential is always in full lock. Hence, when you apply rear brake, even it is only one, both wheels are breaking. On some ATV, like 625, that is not the case, because some have open diff with option to lock it. Because of that, two brakes are needed at the rear, one at each wheel. About air filter and air inlet, that inlet that you found under the seat, that is the air inlet for air filter and leads to the engine. Air inlet at the front of atv is for cooling the CVT. CVT also has air outlet that goes to the back of the atv, exiting in the rear left wheel arch. Regardless, this is one of the best reviews I have found on youtube for this atv, hope there will be more and keep up the good work. Wish you all the best.

    From what I found out, the relatively inexpensive clutch upgrade can solve the issue with the lever not moving easily. Something to do with the clutch wheel still spinning, even though you're stationery. When you get the upgrade kit it makes it smoother on the pull off and should solve the gear lever issue too.

  • @AnubisReviews
    @AnubisReviews Před 2 lety +1

    Front brake is actually the most important of all. As with any vehicle the front brake does 90% of the work. When you try to stop momentum pushes the front down and lifts the rear up. When you see a vehicle lock up its brake and the rear end swings out it is because it has broke traction and wants to continue forward. It's explained more effectively in most motorcycle training manuals.

    I bolts for the plow mount are very likely to ruin the frame tubing. Supply Mount for my Yamaha Grizzly had four u-bolts and I torqued them to specifications which is I believe 18 ft-lbs and by the second season they had kinked my frame.
    CFMOTO used to be real junk but they've had a long time to improve. I think what we are looking at here is the Hyundai of ATVs. I think it's feature packed, priced well and will just get better and better and better. My next ATV is going to have to be the two up and I would consider this.

    I have an older 2014 CF Moto CForce 500 I got off of a friend and it came with the same tires as yours. Be it they're a bit worn since it was new, but you'd be surprised at what kind of mud they've gone through. My friend and I tend to ride up in the flat-rock here and it's had no problems doing the rock climbs that are on some trails. We've also encountered ground on some trails the further into the woods you go that looked like it was solid but the moment you start driving on it you'd sink in. His Sportsman 570 got stuck and would spin, but stick the CF in four-wheel and put on the diff, it would chug through it like an old tractor. But it's like driving a school bus with the diff on, luckily it's only used for just-in-case moments. I need to get a new fuel pump for it to get it ready for the season though. It's been well loved since it was new so things are bound to break eventually.
    Some new tires are also needed as well. Besides that it has tons of compression and runs good when it's getting enough fuel. We changed out the original diff fluid a couple of summers ago and replaced it with Royal Purple, if it can be ran in a pickup it should withstand an atv just fine. If there's one bit of advice I can give it's not to skimp on your engine oil and oil filter. Get the best you can afford. I like to run AmsOil in my machine which tends to go for $13 a quart, but it's not like you're changing the oil every week. $30'ish for two quarts and a good filter is a small price to pay to prevent engine problems, especially while riding on hot summer days. Other popular brands are Klotz, Red Line, Royal Purple, Motul, and so on. Real Talk likes running Maxima oil in his CF Moto's. :)

      @@cfmotoman1270 No problem. As long as you're not trying to go through a nasty swamp like we did you should be fine. My friend and I tried that one summer before I acquired the CF off of him. The trail just looked a little wet with moist ground. That was a big mistake. His Sportsman lightly struggled to go through and the CF just hung up and dug in. We were stuck there all day since we don't have the right stuff for traveling those kind of trails. It works great chugging through the muddy trail my friend got stuck in. But the swamp will swallow everything that goes in it. :)

      My Koplin Switchblade came with a universal mount. I found the best price on the Cabelas website. I currently have it mounted with 2 U-bolts, drilled holes through the plastic skid plates for the U bolts to slip through. It also comes with some extra brackets if you want to mount it to the frame further back, but I determined this was not necessary since I liked the stability I achieved with just the 2 U-bolts. Next year I plan on replacing the zinc coated U-bolts with stainless steel, for an even sturdier and durable fastening. I plan on moving the bracket about 1 inch back due to some rubbing I am getting from the front left tire when I turn hard left. This should solve the issue easily. It sounds like a great idea for my next video.

It sounds like they had a "bike specific" mount but had some problems with it (per the rep). I'm going to keep my eyes out for a flush mount bike-specific version as well. Something where only the attachment points hang down.

      @@evgeek2453 video posted. check the channel. at most, the mount decreases ground clearance by about 2 inches where the attachment points come down. The attachment points are less than an inch wide each side. Not a huge deal unless you plan on hitting some pretty rocky trails. Mount is also easily removed if need be. If you wanted to do away with the 3/4 inch flap that hangs down horizontally across the mount, take an angle grinder to it.

    The gear shifting is hard because you "must" use the foot brake so it unlock the gearshifter problem you talk about why it is like that i have no idea maybe a security option i dont know but it is stupid i mean! So push the foot breake down and you can shift gear with out any problems, it is better folk learn about this befor they buy a atv then i never thinked about it but i so several videos and i read about it so i know i must use the breake to shift gear so i had no problem what so ever on this issue!

      @@remo900rr No offense man, i own a 850xc for 5 months, its about maintaining it. You can't except for it to hold good if you never wash it in time, never grease it,etc. Mine still looks like brand new even though i have 11000km's on it (680miles) and had no issues with it. Its also about community, do you think that can-am's dont have chineese parts on it? They do, and they're not crap. Search up on real talk powersports to see, a cfmoto 500 won a race against a yamaha grizzly 600 or 700, and the 800xc won mud races against outlander 1000. And also, the 800xc they used in mud racing has only seen nothing but abuse and never broke down.
