@@sirusjohnson109 Think you're taking it a tad too seriously. Pretty sure at this point its just a running gag. Diorite is a block that's hard to use right, but don't forget Season 6 where Iskall admitted Bdub's diorite and granite castle was beautiful.

(seriously, diorite is a community-wide in-joke at this point and I believe iskall even admitted he's playing it up since diorite-hate is part of his on-camera persona, grow a sense of humor)
The sneeze added in was absolute magic. Also cave unicorns need to be added in to help you in the deep dark

It's my absolute favorite sneeze cut. It's a really fun way to incorporate things that you catch on the camera that you wouldn't normally put into a video It's absolutely great
I like how you have unique and different thumbnail style for each hermitcraft series. This one is looking clean. My favorite was the comic book style of season 7

Between the monolith and Scar's tree, it's like they've got the corners of Middle Earth covered!
I absolutely LOVE how natural the vines look on the monolith, and how the mossy green works so nicely against the whiteish gray (but perfectly shaded) monolith
AND the editing of this episode was just on point- the music, sound effects, and transitions (especially 12:26 ) makes me super hyped for what's to come of Bdubs season!
That sneeze to immediately underground transition had me in stitches for a good half minute. LOVE IT BDUBS

Now that I've seen it, I feel this episode was fantastic. what a start to season 9. Editing was so well done, loved every bit of it, also that sneeze cut was legendary.

WHAT AN EPISODE!! Bdubs, how do I even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this? :D
The editing is so, SO well done! In terms of the clips you chose, you achieved such a good balance between narrating, experiencing, building, progressing, having fun, and video length, it's truly amazing! And the editing itself added a whole nother level of entertaining to the already captivating and enjoyable episode! So much respect, your style is wonderful :D
And the build... it's simply GORGEOUS! What a beautiful monolith! It's a really unique starter build, and the way you decorated the scenery and paths leading up to it adds even more immersiveness! The lush vines twisting up its structure are beautifully constructed, the greens are varied and interesting to look at without being overbearing; it's so nicely textured and detailed! The blending of it into the ground and monolith is so impressive! And the monolith itself is breathtaking! I adore the staircase leading up to it, and the doorframe, it's really majestic and suits the theme and time era! The shape of it is super well done, it's huge and tall but still looks like it could stand on its own for hundreds of years! The soft greys and whites break up the diorite while also complementing its palette! Love it!!!
This was simply amazing! So very entertaining and made my day! I'm sick but this makes me feel so much better! Thank you for a wonderful video, Bdubs, I'm excited to see how this season unfolds!

Hope you feel better. As last season started, I was midway through a cold. Hermitcraft really does lift one's spirits up.
The format of this season really highlights how the all the hermits are good friends. Every one seems to be having a ton a fun just playing Minecraft together.
The transition at 12:28 was gold. Unexpected, and flawless.
I feel like you out did yourself on this one bdubs, the editing is on point.

I adore the monolith. 😍 That is one beautiful base. The diorite makes it look like a marble tower that's being over taken by nature, and it fits great in the birch forest. (I like birch.) Plus, the episode was hilarious. Your reaction to the cave is pretty much how I respond seeing a cave full of monsters. 😂
iskall had the best build montage. Scar had the most deaths. Bdubs has the best overall editing. Looking forward to Season 9!
Just from that sneeze-cut I can already tell this season's going to be awesome! I think I'm going to push for it to be an industry standard for modern cinema!

So that's where the little diorite and leaves preview in the "Building with BdoubleO" stream came from :D looking good (though polished diorite is something I still can't love lol it's the harsh dark outline of the bevel).

This was quite an experience, I loved all about this episode, from the shock of everyone sleeping to the random sneeze changing the scene. The transitions, the music, the shenanigans, just perfect 👍
BDubs, Master of textures, King of detailing. And what does he build for his first building with all of these new blocks, and his home base for at least the next several months? A solid diorite tower. Absolutely poetic.

I had fun watching this. I agree with everyone that the editing is wonderful. My favorite parts were the sneeze-cut, "I got a cool way to it" -cut to screaming as you fall down a large hole-, and the "Monolith :D" spoken like it's a word from Sesame Street that they're trying to teach kids how to spell.
The monolith reminds me of the Dreams statue in St Helens, Merseyside, you can see it from miles around, it's on the top of a hill in the middle of the woods, from the motorway you catch glimpses of it through the trees
