The way I'm apparently building mine currently is through Mafex haha. Hush Bats and Supes are just too dope for words man. I can't speak for anyone else but I guess imports like this are the way for me. When he came in, I compared him to the Multiverse one and was just saddened haha. Mafex is giving us that team... just slow as molasses in wintertime.

Well knowing how Mafex likes to reuse molds with slight changes (color mostly) it could be a posibility we see this mold used again for another version of Sups that not based on Hush (maybe a For Tomorrow Sups with a more happy face and a gold Daily Planet Gargoyle Base), either that or we could see Mafex doing one of the other things they like to do which is to pack in a new accesory/head with another figure, maybe we could get a more classic superman head that could fit this figure as a pack in with a future figure if they continue the Reign of the Supermen line

I love it, even with the headsculpt being small it looks amazing. Yeah the neck has the angled barbell like Spidey, maybe it needs to be turned around or unstuck and turned for the right movement backwards. Dope review as always bro!!
I popped the whole neck piece off.. applied a half a drop of traxxis silicone shock oil. Turned that angled piece around. Supes is good to go!

I could see Mafex do a Kenner Super Powers Collection run. Have them lean towards the Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez designs, offer accessories that complement each figure, and you've got a winner.
Good review! I felt the same way about the color on the logo and belt, should have been yellow. I thought maybe it was only mine but I guess not.
I think the neck will move with a little heat. Mine was stuck too at first but then I was able to move it.
In a world where DC Direct is dead, Mcfarlane refuses to make anything that isnt Batman and nobody cares about spinmasters...Mafex is the hero we need to finally give us a good DC toyline

There is a extra bit of plastic left over on the chest piece that you need to take off as it will scratch your lower ab section. As for the neck; you need to take the head off and swivel the joint the other way round.

The neck peg has a bend in it but apparently the figure shipped with the peg facing forward. Take the head off, rotate the neck peg so the bend faces towards the back. Then the head can look up.

Liked the flying intro at 9:22. Great review...I mean, a little bit of excessive hair on the hands but it is what it is and on the positive side hands were cleaner this time. It is also cool to see that these new MAFEX are not having breaking QC issues.

Great review! I'd love to see mafex do a Nightwing, Entire Flashpoint line, and definitely more of Batmans rogues gallery. And as far as Marvel I'd like to see them do a Civil War line Cival War Cap, IronMan and Comic book version of the Iron Spiderman suit.

You need to move the neck peg around, it has a kink in it so that you can get his head into proper flight pose.
Great review! This is def the best 6” contemporary representation of Superman and can’t wait for mine to get here. I get the gripe with the lighter yellow but that is how it looks in the Hush story, although most statues I’ve seen based off Hush art of Supes went with a deeper yellow. Hopefully mafex keeps giving us more DC characters, at this point I’m in for almost any Marvel/DC mafex but could do without unnecessary variants. Batman’s and Spider-Man are exceptions for me cause they have so many good costumes and are immensely good/popular characters. That being said, I’d prefer to see other characters before anymore 🦇/ 🕷 figs
man I would love a Green Lantern, Flash or even Wonder Women but we are in need for a good Tim Drake Robin figuer or maybe even a Red Hood I dont know I love what they did with this hush line and would love to see them keep it up

Just to note the lower ball peg on the neck is usually stiff on these figs, but if you loosen it up with some heat you will get better range on the head looking up. Did it on mine and the range is perfect now, he can hit those flight poses. 👌💚🔥🌈😁

I don’t collect Mafex, or DC for that matter 😅, but I feel like a deluxe Green lantern would be dope. Like just go crazy with the accessories and give him a crap ton. Sure it’ll be expensive but you would be getting so much. Maybe they can also release one that doesn’t come with as much stuff and have it be cheaper. I just think that’ll be super dope 😂

I think Mafex would do awesome Mortal Kombat figures, considering the way they do articulation. Liu Kang with their articulation/pose-ability would be dope to see. Baraka & Shao Kahn as well. 👀
Great review sir! This Supes is awesome! IMO Marvel Legends The Punisher head sculpt is more Jim Lee Supes than this one if you gave it an S curl in the front.

Such a great figure. Finally a solid Superman figure that is readily available (not like the alien 2 pack). My only gripe was the poison ivy parts. Seriously Mafex, you do an awesome Supes figure and the only thing you could think of adding was the poison ivy parts? Laser vision or frost breath are a must for Superman.

Id really like Mafex to do a Jim Lee Inspired Wonder Woman from his Superman For Tomorrow Comic Arc so I could have the trinity displayed in the Jim Lee (pre-new 52) look, I also really hope they Do Tim Drake Robin and Nighwing in this Hush Line and that they give us more figures the Knighfall and Reign of the Supermen lines
I just wish we could get a Superman figure with a damn smile. Every figure looks so sad or angry. Dude smiles alot. I know this figure represents Superman in one book in one scene in particular but ugh. Just give us a smile face. That's all I want. I am waiting for mine to come from BBTS. I'm glad I ordered this one. Hopefully the new McFarlane bizarro figure will look good with this figure.

Ugh, I really want it but crap man I feel like the lack of a smiling head really is holding it back for me. I think I might pass and wait for a different release of this guy, they’ll probably do him in a darker blue and have a smiling head with effects for his powers. Or they’ll just do the new 52 look and make us buy that one if we want a smiling head, idk i think I’ll get it if I find a good custom head somewhere but I think I’ll hold until then

It is apparent to me that the muted yellow is an attempt to replicate the comic art as it appeared. This is Jim Lee's art and Jim Lee's "S".
Also, just pop the head off and turn the neck peg in the opposite direction and you can get him to tilt back properly.

Fantastic figure but yeah the color is off on the S shield and belt. Actually repainted the belt on mine and am trying to repaint the S shield. The faded yellow is to much of a distraction for me so had to do something about it. Otherwise great figure and a great review.
A classic Mafex Hawkman would be awesome! Same for a classic Martian Man hunter!

Think they’ve been pretty epic judging by reviews with their comic style figures in general x-men, Spider-Man related characters have been awesome looking too and they are just going strength to strength. Just shame the gap between figures releasing is usually huge.
The peg for the head might be backwards. If it’s bent forwards it is. You should get better motion with it bent backwards

I assume Mafex will finish out the Hush line as well as give us more figures from Batman Knightfall & The Death of Superman. And I couldn't be more excited for it, lol. Imagine a definitive Robin & Nightwing figure along with Bane & Superboy. Hell, with the Knightfall & Hush lines we could get 2 Tim Drake Robins!
The head’s a little small to me. But yeah, good call on DC Icons. That line got me into collecting.

I got my Mafex Superman yesterday. I find that the proportions are off. The chest and shoulders are too narrow, the torso is small. Due to the placement of the shoulder peg, the arms stick out from the sides. The thighs and calves are also too long for the body. So far, quite a number of Mafex comics based figures have this problem. Short torso and excessively long legs/limbs...

I think mafex had a movie version flash. Pretty good looking, but qc issue remained.
There have been so many great superman figure since this one! Still one of my favorites but the kingdom come and TDKR one are even better imo!!
