Really big shame about the gun situation but like you did as of recently Mafex has been killing it with pretty much all their comic inspired releases. Can't wait until my one arrives.
It's not just import companies. All companies domestically too. Reason? It's Warner Brothers taking their stance on the number of mass shootings in recent years. So cause of that, WB issued the "No Guns" Mandate across the board for DC related toys and collectibles for their stuff to not come with guns of ANY kind. Even if they're fake or just fit asthetically for certain characters.
I wish collectors would take a stance against funding WB/DC due to the completely illogical and asinine (Nancy Reagan/Tipper Gore style) decisions like this. Never mind mass stabbings and bludgeonings (w/those included weapons that are easy to score in real life), I saw a scene in the new Batman movie where they were spraying Batman with bullets like jet-powered super soakers. If they couldn't reshoot all those gun scenes after the WB ban happened, why didn't they CGI them as walkie talkies like in E.T.? _*For the children 🙏_ All these kids seeing "real life" guns shooting ppl (or WB showing kids that you can shoot someone and they will be okay like Batman), rather it be at the movies, on CZcams, TV.....WB has the kids covered with gun violence so they can go off and become productive mass shooters. Oh yeah, that doesn't work, only little plastic laser guns that come from online Japan will activate the children to produce rifles out their asses and go on a shooting spree.
Is there a place where we can read this. I hear it alot from people but I've never seen a credible source announce or speak on this. (Though I haven't gone looking. But nobody has ever referenced a source)
Is this insinuating that toy guns influence mass shootings more than the actual movies and TV shows that they themselves produce depicting just that? Seems like backwards thinking. I mean I'm all for it if they take it out of everything, buuuut BECAREFUL WITH THOSE TOYS! Fuck them tbh.
Awesome review! I just got mine last week and really enjoy what Mafex was able to accomplish here. I love the design and can't wait to pose him with Dark Knight Returns Superman!
Great review! This was a lot of fun. I just can't help thinking his masked head makes his actual head look tiny. If you compare it to the unmasked head, you see it's actually longer than his helmet. His mouth and eyes are too close, his masked head looks funny to me haha
Great review Wade. Mine is on the way. I've always loved the Kirbyness of Frank Miller's design here for Armored Batman. Superman can't come quick enough. Mafex is killing the DC License! We need a Mr Miracle from this company.
It's not just the import figures. Warner bros announced that All DC figures from now on arent allowed with guns that's why the recent/upcoming McFarlane DC multiverse figure doesn't have guns as well.
It's a shame the gun isn't included, but I really wish it or their upcoming DKR Superman had included a damaged helmet for it and this had included some dirt on this figure. I just think the complete lack of paint anywhere on the figure, as it is just colored moulded plastic, looks way too clean, plain, lacking detail and boring. Especially after how beautifully painted their Triumphant Batman was. The unmasked head is nice like the regular outfit DKR figures though.
Greta review! You should do a comparison video for armored batmen. Theres so many versions of this design, or based on this, (like Batman v superman) it really would be nice to see them side by side (Like didn’t mezco do this guy too?)

no unmasked head. Batman gets unmasked halfway into the fight Sorry but 12 battle armour bats and only the animated one did an unmasked head . mezco for the price it should have had a second head. Pass for me sorry
