WOW. His explanation of why he listens in on the game is spectacular. I'm in awe of that process. Him actually understanding the game and evaluating players in context is so reassuring for the athlete. That's awesome. This is all coming from a Colts fan too 💯
good point! instead of a gm having no knowledge of the situation nick will know whats going on without saying. So no he said or he said type deal
A legit tanking team with a proven racist owner that luckily died but has a son that hasn’t shown the apple to fall far from the tree
@@erniejohnson677 We don't know if the apple fell far from the tree here in Houston. What we do know is that the apple fell into a barrel of bourbon. Is Cal racist? We don't know. He's seen no different than Tommy Boy. Dude is essentially clueless as CEO. He's not even the owner. His mom is, & we know she ain't firing him.
Guy seems professional and down to earth. Guess we'll see how he does with the rebuild.
A legit tanking team with a proven racist owner that luckily died but has a son that hasn’t shown the apple to fall far from the tree
@@erniejohnson677 hoes mad
@@erniejohnson677 why are you spamming this as replies that dont even make sense in context lol get a life
@@nonlethalnuke Guy has to get his talking points lol.
I've been a Texans fan since day one and this is the first time I've felt like we're operating like an elite franchise. The roster is solid. I'm very happy with the coaching staff and couldn't be happier with Nick at gm.
"elite franchise" lol bro they hired ex secret service to help watson cover up the hotel rooms and what was happening inside them and same dude came up with the NDA idea for his girls
yeah rebuild is looking good so far, which cap space opening up next year, if mills works out we can get serveral high dollar players in the offseason
believe it or not we are still in debt from BOB in cap space that finally frees up after this year. Then we got these draft picks and smart GM.
@@bobbythorton7693 a fish rots from its head down. Until you get rid of the racist owner which I thought happened by the old man luckily dying but unfortunately leaving it to the son who hasn’t had the apple fall far from the tree, it’ll be same. Son runs a disfunctional franchise with Jack easterby(a known guy that players hate as his advisor)
@@erniejohnson677 you must believe in santa clause to bless your heart
Nick somehow traded Watson for good draft capital. Now we have the chance to build a great team
Texans fans should be very happy about Caserio! This was a great interview. Especially the bit leading in 😂
As a Texans fan, I agree.
he is chad GM
We might have the most love for a gm than anyone. By the end of it, we may see him as the messiah.
@@bobbythorton7693 oy
@@thethumper088 if he wins us a superbowl sometime in the future, I will nickname caserio Messiah
Huuuuuuuge Texans fan here. By far my favorite Caserio interview I’ve seen. I get excited thinking about what he’s doing with the Texans. I have the utmost faith in him
As a Texans fan I was NOT happy when we hired Nick… didn’t take him long to change my opinion on him lol, love the guy
Deshaun said it best it’s not about hiring this guy it’s about how they hired him. Disfunctional team
A legit tanking team with a proven racist owner that luckily died but has a son that hasn’t shown the apple to fall far from the tree
@@erniejohnson677 i don’t think the son is i could be wrong but don’t they hire the head coach if he was he probably wouldn’t have gone with a black one
@@erniejohnson677 idk if we would have a black head coach and oc if we had a racist owner but aight😂
In Caserio we trust
Caserio- Nice interview. Sounds like he would be a valuable addition to ANY program.
Glad he is OUR GUY/GM
Dude - Caserio just gave everyone answers to how to answer questions in a job interview. Couldn’t care about the Texans at all but dude handled EVERYTHING perfectly of what you want to hear without going full cheeseball - I wanna work for the man! 🤣
the dude is a legend in talking so much, but he does it well and sounds smart lmao well done
I have confidence that the Texans will succeed in the near future and I hope Davis mills is the real deal
5 years minimum until they're good, they are making progress though.
I hope he is to
As a Texans fan, I have been disgruntled with the franchise for the last 2 years it’s been hard to be optimistic for the future but I think under Caserio's leadership we should be a playoff contender in a couple of years
@@yurpi3425 that’s such a back handed comment.
@@yurpi3425 Dumb comment. 4 1st round picks in the next 2 years and loads of cap space and a SB caliber HC with potentially a franchise QB.
As a Texan fan I'm glad we got this man as a GM. He basically hit on all his picks last year and we will see the icing on the cake with Davis.
This year technically speaking had a great-awesome draft obviously we need game time but just on paper. We have a team and it's trending upward rapidly.
This guy is awesome! Wish him and the Texans the best of luck!
Hell yeah!! In Caserio we trust!!!
As a Texans fan, this interview changed my view of Caserio completely! He actually knows what he’s doing unlike BOB
Yeah! Let’s go! He also congratulated Pat in beating bumass Corbin! Loving it as a pro wrestling fan and a Houston Texans fan! That’s my general manager!
Caserio has been doing a great job. Been a texans fan since day one and its been pretty much a constant "rebuild" aside from a few seasons. This is one of the first ones I actually feel excited for.
He's a good guy. Always has been. I appreciate all he did for my Patriots. I hope "Patriots South" does well!
🤦♂️
A legit tanking team with a proven racist owner that luckily died but has a son that hasn’t shown the apple to fall far from the tree
@@erniejohnson677 since when was the son ever racist?
@@judoka. I’m glad you at least admit the dad’s definitely a racist. Do your research on him, trust me the apple has not fallen far from the tree.
@@erniejohnson677 look, you can have distaste about cal as much as you want (even though he’s technically not the owner, his mother is), but don’t take your anger out on the team.
the team doesn’t reflect the controversial thoughts/sayings of cal so they shouldn’t be hated because of it.
im a fan of the players, the coaches, the front office, etc. i was a fan before cal & jack were involved & ill be even more of a fan when they’re gone.
just because there’s 2 horrible people involved with the team doesn’t mean you should hate the whole team.
and no, we’re not tanking, at least not on purpose. the players, coaches, & front office made it *abundantly* clear throughout the summer that they’re going to compete, so stop talking about this tanking nonsense.
In Caserio We Trust !!!
as a texans fan i’m interested but optimistic about our rebuild.
You better be optimistic, because if Watson wins a superbowl for Cleveland before anybody does in Houston it would be a terrible look for the franchise considering they traded him away
I’m very optimistic too. Nick leading the way seems to cure all. Great draft this year
@@juliusdeloach its already a terrible look that y’all traded him away
@@moneymonkeyman8280 yea they traded a superstar QB away , brown's took a gamble on him
Let's go Texans
Damn great interview, seems like the right guy to steady the ship and actually build something sustainable in Houston.
Caserio is winning me over as a Texans fan
What an awesome guy
Nick is extremely smart, this is a wow interview. Love the we may have said n ran with the headset during a game. This was super fun to watch
Man this show is amazing now he is getting GMS to join the show that’s amazing great show
I know right. That too one of my team.
One of Pat’s best eps
One of the best interviews I’ve seen all year and best pod hands down!!!
Nick has been a breath of fresh air and sanity. The Texans still carry that O'Brien Moe Howard reputation but we are all feeling good about Caserio now that he has full control of the team. It will start to show on the field this year, next season a crap ton of cap space opens up (that Casserio has been clearing out).
I’ve been a TEXANS FAN since DAY ONE and man let me tell you wasn’t happy with Caserio coming in as the GM but this guy really sounds and looks like he is saving cap space for some big moves in future free agency. So hope he starts those big moves by getting rid of Jack Esterby 🙏🏼
CMU in the house!! FIRE UP CHIPS!!
Please do something for those poor fans
This show is AWESOME! Pat, AJ and the boys are all great! I’m watching and learning a lot about NFL coz of these interviews from players, GMs and all. Coming from a country 🇵🇭 that do not play American Football.
Always wanted to see Houston win a SB.
Nick has an extensive football IQ. Most of the personnel that Bill hired have their specialty, but are also Swiss Army knives. Starting with Bill, the entire organization is/was full of exceptionally bright people obsessed with football.
The small glimpses of Nick back in NE were so great. He rarely got time on a mic, but his intellect shined.
When Caserio talks more “coach/executive” speech…it’s bizarre how much his voice and rhythm is exactly like Belichick
Also, his reason and explanation for why he wears a headset is amazing! Guy works his ass off so I wish him success!
Respect,
🦅 Fan
I had so little knowledge about Douggie that when I watched him for the first time this year I was actually impressed.
Wow. Great interview.
He is a very smart person, I hope the Texans do well.
GREAT INTERVIEW
Great interview.
a honest GM, DOWN TO EARTH
When all the chaos first went down bringing him in and Deshaun wanted out. I was willing to stop being a Texans fan. But now , it’s totally opposite. I feel like the Texans are now the most improved team, and progressing at a faster pace than any other team.
Great speaker.
26:00 what an epic moment 🤣🤣
Guy was so nice, Pat and the guys completely forgot about Jack Easterby, LMAO.
he got me too, not gonna lie
Lovin' that 360p! 😆
Great interview, dude is a dude.
Let’s go Texans !!!
I thought people were tough on nick for no reason. I’m also a Texan fan. Love the stingley pick.
Glad to see Nick Caserio opening up a bit. Texan fans need someone that they can follow in order to understand where things are heading.
that was awesome
Degree of conviction. I’m going to use that from now on. What great vocabulary he has as well.
That's a guy I want as my GM
Nick "that's a great question" Caserio
Them and the jets are building up their team nicely long term
In Nick we trust
I was waiting for an Easterby question lol.
That’s my GM
Dude has a great radio voice
That's my GM 🥲🤘🏾
No easterby questions??? You guys sign an NDA? Wtf Pat?
Goat
31:00 Which Bill is Pat referring to? Belichick or O'Brien? I got confuse . I though Pat asked about Obrien but I feel lile Nick answered Belichick
Same
Damn this guy seams great
In Caserio we trust
I wish for nothing more then for the Texans gm to trade places with the Minnesota Vikings gm at this moment.. for a 30 minute conversation to go that well how could you not want a guy like that; who could gulf down a drink like that and skip a beat. Thankyou
nah we’re good. you guys could make the playoffs though now that you have an offensive minded coach.
Davis Mills will be the best QB of his class when its all said and down.
Lmao def not, unfortunately just doesn’t poses the raw talent of this other dudes and then not to mention that from an I.Q perspective and being able to read progressions I’d def take Mac Jones over him. But top 5 in the draft class forsure
@@erniejohnson677 you can’t say that he has talent
@@erniejohnson677 He possesses a quality nfl arm and has elite accuracy when rolling out to the right. He’s very, very accurate. His anticipation is great, and he’s an underrated athlete. You don’t need elite physical tools to be great.
I just love how many GMs Pat and the boys get on the show. Les Snead next? F THEM PICKS!
He didn't get to get too into Xs and Os, but when he does, the man knows what he's talking about.
W GM
Nick won over the fans and has us believing we can be better than what we once was.
I love it when people come on the show and call them out for being stooges because of things they previously said 😂
Man its been so refreshing the last 2 years of discovering this show. Trying to watch ESPN or FS1 is impossible these days, those shows are so corny.
GM OF THE YEAR for Watson trade!
Was good
Man he sounds like Belichick
I really wanna see you guys get saleh on or joey d
Lovie Smith being tapped as Head Coach is low risk / high reward move for Caserio and the Texans..
Lovie has a track record both in college and the pros for building perennially good defenses and establishing a healthy team culture (players love him and will rush through brick walls for him).
Alan Alda vibes
🤟🏿
Put the playback speed at .75 and close your eyes when Caserio speaks. It's literally Bill Belichick
His voice sounds like bill belichek
They need to start by changing the logo and uniforms
Drinking game= when he says "no that's a good question" take a shot..... Best of luck
I'm surprised Pat & Crew didn't bring up Jack Easterby. Realized it at the last min (could have been scripted like that). Get that Easter🐇 out!!! Casue Nick seems like the real deal.
Sure you guys can afford the pro version of Zoom 🤣
Dude, this guys speaking mannerisms are very similar to Coach Belichick. Close your eyes. Sounds like a young Coach B.
I have high hopes for this Texans team but I just don’t see them being better than Tennessee or Indi
Would’ve been happy with caserio and Watson working together . He would’ve flourished under caserio
How could they talk for an hour and not discuss Watson???
texans might go somewhere with him
Everybody always trying to bring the patriot way(company men accorrding to asante samuel) to there team and expect everything to work
yay....another rebuilding year for us ...
Wtf did you think we were gonna do?
you can leave if you want, no one’s forcing you to be a texans fan, but don’t come back once we’re good again.
Voice sounds exactly like a young Belichick
greatest coach, 100%, but calling belicheck the greatest GM ever seems way off
Great interview. You should get Jack Easterby on and ask him to compare Nick to Bill O'Brien as a GM. Nick made a very wise career move leaving New England right after Tom Brady went to Tampa Bay.
That guy is crazy
yeah he wold f you up, why jacke easterby is not talking back to him.
Wait…don’t you need to be built once to rebuild???
I like this GM. The Texans are total crap right now. I think with Nick, we can get back on track in 2-3 years, imo
This makes me feel better. I had no confidence in what had been happening, but there seems to be some structure…maybe.
Texans are doing everything they can to save money...won't even splurge for a full Zoom account.
Texans got fooked with Deshaun Watson and his sexual deviances. I believe in Nick to right the ship in the next few years.
