I did complain about this event mode as I thought it’d be a scam. Eclipse too complained about the 250 pts needed and the time it would take to complete. Well, I nailed the 250pts in 3 hrs with my M6, had the Thunderbolt already, so earned 2 million silver. This event is a lot of fun. Well done Wargaming!! Good job.
Hard to play that long with these games today imo.
alot of fun, i've managed to fully upgrade 3 tanks playing it working on number 4 atm.
Same, maxed out my Chafee, easy 8 (sherman), and Hellcat
This d-day event game mode was actually a lot of fun kinda reminds me of the the war stories that used to be in the game
They need to more things like this more often, plus I'm pretty sure I've had at least one game in your lobby, I've run mostly the Fury tank and I think it's one the best to use in this event
Calliope is the best tank to use. Fast gun & loads fun dumping rockets on poor jerry tanks.
24 or 26 think my highest so far 🤔 well I had 2 kills stolen so 24 technically, but should have been 26. Shhh happens in combat😂
The Fury performed best for me. My other tech tree M4’s were initially under gunned and under powered, but I used this challenge to help grind out leveling up on my M4’s. It was fun and I hope they offer more special ones like this in the future.
Something I noticed, if you are full health or full ammo and run over one of the health /ammo replenishers it still removes the refill from the map even though you got nothing from it. I really did enjoy this one. i played with the Calliope and didn't do half what the top guys did, but I had fun!
Good crew training opportunity as well. Results may vary due to your team composition and if anyone runs off to get fancy on the map. Staying tight and supporting each other seems to work best.
I had so much fun with this mode and it brought a smile to my face, which has been a while as I am a CW player. I would love to see more of these modes in the fuiture.

I've noticed that the jumbo with the 76 mm is very good in this mode.
The dpm on the tech tree is better. Less damage per shot yes, but the accuracy and stuff makes up for that.
Really fun game mode wish they do more events like this even though it had a few glitches, for me the fury was the best minus ammo cap if you could get about 28 to 24 kills and 12,000 to 14,000 damaged silver was around 220000 and good exp
27 kills in the Sherman Callope 😂 the M6 is also fun 👍
You know it’s game rng when a Sherman can take on that many tanks, lol.
I got the Thunderbolt yesterday. I really like it. The added armor is definitely noticeable. The event mode CAN be difficult at times but wow it's good
its great. Well done WG (and I haven't said that in years). A 'free to use/rent' tank would be good for players to have access to if they don't own a American tank in these Tiers.

The m6 is very good in this mode. Tier 6 Heavy. I've been loving this mode. It's a nice change.😊
I enjoyed using the Calliope (cal-EYE-OH-pee) T34 in this one. Taking out poor bot Panthers with the rockets was loads of fun.
I actually enjoyed this mode I mainly used the M4A3E8 Sherman since it’s fairly mobile and its gun is ok but I did use the hellcat 105 a bit aswell since it’s very mobile and has insane HEAT rounds I used the thunderbolt a few times but the added weight and power loss to its to speed made it less favorable despite the extra armor and the m4 was struggling to survive stopped using it after I got taken out on the beach saw other people using light tanks but it prolonged the battle and didn’t benefit the team much some people also used a few heavy tanks and other types of tank destroyers only thing is the bots were very predictable
The only thing I have against this is I can’t use my German tanks I enjoy them more but this is still tons of fun
Unplayable game : 10 times in raw object 477 and Wissel tanks destroyed our team in era 3.
5 games in raw Fv4211 destroyed our team, bouncing all my shots from side ( his track) .
5 times in raw FV4005 destroyed our team in era 1.
10 games in raw lower tier in ww2, and tier 10 TDs destroyed our team.
you can blame Tusk contract for over half the team being TDs

477 is easy to pen
Wiesel is very easy to hit
4211 is not even close to op, it just cant be killed by yolo and auto aiming.
The 4005 has no armor and a long reload wich can easily be used to kill it
I can't find the vehicle skin for the thunder bolt to apply it...even though it comes with the tank...was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I'm on Xbox
It's not for that tank. It's for the tech tree M4A3E8. Kinda strange.
Its a good way to make silver plus the ability to respawn makes it more fun too
Can I grind the USA tank line in this event I notice you get a lot of XP?
You can only grind up to tier 7. You can't play higher than tier 6 in the event. It will be easy to grind through tier 6 in this event.
This mode is great loads of xp for your commander and free xp to its just fun using the Calliope mostly should have this mode all the time
Did they put a pve mode for a change? Ive Always loved that about World of Warships too❤❤

Hellcat 105 and thunder bolt are my go favorites for this.

Calliope consistently doing 20+ kills and 10K+ in damage, all on its own - no skill required. :)
Junk tank imo
My only gripe is that there are no British tanks in this mode as it seems a bit unfair to all the British and other nationalities who fought at Normandy in Cromwells Churchills and Fireflies.
Need more games like this hope the devs listen
