Anything with a "luck" aspect has a change of being rigged. They could be legit returns just pre-sorted, I wouldn't be surprised if some operations just use a x-ray machine to nab anything that appears valuable before shoveling it off to you.
I love your tapping. LOVE. It was def a scam. Trust your intuition on that because if those items smelled the same… 😢 people stink

I don’t think it’s scam. It’s just Vinted package that never got claimed. Like the pompotte one is typical of the Vinted package.
I also don't think it's a scam. I know a lot of people use vinted to buy like baby clothes in bulk. I guess a bit unlucky to have so many packages full of baby clothes tho.
The Martini red thingy looks like a set of appetizer trays, for olives, peanuts etc. It's worth checking if you can resell it - some people collect Martini goodies :) xxx
my mother is obsessed with Martini brand! she used to serve me and my siblings fruit in dishes similar to those red ones in the 90’s
The items you got and that only one package contained any form of note makes it look like a scam, but on the other hand it seems like a lot of work, to wrap up packages (and actually put stuff in them) so I don’t know… Anyway, we got a nice relaxing video from it, so thanks Jen!

I believe the red martini tubs are for garnishing drinks at a bar. They would have olives in one, orange slices in another, etc.

Oh neat! I was just scammed at a high-end boutique recently so this will help heal my anger and grief, I'm sure! (＾ω＾) I just started the video so I hope the title isn't sarcasm. Can't wait to see what's inside these suspicious packages!

Oh Jen, I’m so disappointed for you, that definitely looks like a scam to me… we’ve all been there one way or another sadly. Great packaging and unboxing sounds though! Also I find it serendipitous that you as an ASMRtist did at least get one good package, a lapel mic! Thanks for the tingles nonetheless. 🚨‼️🚩

Also, the blacked out after the label was removed could be because there was another address or something written on the box/paper. Some people hand write that stuff instead of printing labels so that could be why it’s blacked out after the labels were removed.
I loved this video. It was so fun how the items were both a mystery to you and us at the same time. It does seem like it could be a scam, but it could also be one of those luck of the draw type of things. Like how storage units are auctioned off. Some make out with some valuable items while others are nothing but junk. Either way, this was not an entire waste because you got a great video out of it.
I heard about those lost packages sales, but I've never tried because I don't like not knowing what I'm buying... The bronzer packs look like some free samples you would get in beauty shops. I hope you didn't spend too much on these 😔

This reminds me of sidewalk sales when I was a child when they would put tables full of stapled paper bags out for sale @ 2$ each but you had NO IDEA what you were getting. Was like gambling! Lol

If it’s supposedly lost mail, I don’t get how it can be lost, because someone has it to sell it, but it’s not their property to sell, where has it been ? Who has had it ? It should be delivered to the proper recipient really.
I think it's mostly "undeliverable" mail, because there's insufficient information with the addresses, or no return address and something went wrong with the delivery (the person moved, refused to accept it, etc). Some people just don't want their things back if it can't be delivered so they request that it be abandoned. In the US the postal system holds onto these packages for several months in case they can decipher a clue for where to send it or someone puts a search request for it, but eventually they have to do something with it, so they donate it to charity or sell it to a third party, who then sells them to the public. Afaik typically that third party is a trustworthy agency and not a random individual though 😅

Most of these packages look like they are from vinted and were send with mondial relay. When you ship with mondial relay the shipping label also contains a slip with the sellers adress. You're supposed to put that slip in the package in case the package is undeliverable or shipping label is damaged. So I doubt these were "undeliverable" because there should have been slips with a return adress inside.
But seeing how none of the mondial relay packages have these slips, they probably have been opened and had the slips removed. So its definitely a scam as well.
"Vinted" was a platform where people sold their second hand clothing. The Canadian version closed. Not sure about other countries.
It's still up and running in europe.
@@cassuaris so not a scam, just a person with poor hygene selling off old baby/kids clothes. You just weren't lucky in this haul.
I'm not the poster of this video. I use vinted and regularly ship and receive packages trough mondial relay and all these packages look like they're vinted packages that were send with mondial relay. When you ship with mondial relay you'll receive a shipping label and a slip with your own address on it, the slip goes in the package. In case your package is undeliverable it will be returned to sender and when the shipping label is damaged the package will be opened to find the slip and returned to you.
It's a scam because all these package were missing that slip, so they have been opened and instead of them being returned to sender the slip has been removed and the packages were then sold off as undeliverable mail..
The reason they smell is probably because the drivers that pick up the packages from the parcel shops are allowed to smoke in their truck/van etc
So sorry you got scammed
