The kid is not very careful, the praying mantis was harmed and you have to open a several holes cuz there's no oxygen for the mantis in that, im happy you tried to release it but, touching the mantis nicely is a better idea.
So you can carefully and softly pinch the mantis on the thorax if the mantis is not that aggressive but if it notices you and tries to pinch you then leave it be. Or if your stupid like me and try to feed a piece of pork to the mantis. It works though. It will be distracted and then I can catch the mantis
