ut's easy to spend 3 hours at the merlion. walk 30 minutes to MBS. go into the casino since it's free for foreigners, enjoy free air conditioning and free drinks. spend 2 hours in there. get out, walk 30 minutes back to merlion to enjoy the fireworks lol.

The chicken rice you ate was roasted chicken with plain white rice. The 'Singapore Chicken Rice', which you should try is White Poached Chicken and rice (cooked with chicken broth, ginger, garlic) Opposite to Chinatown Complex, a stone throw away is Maxwell Food Centre, plenty of chicken rice stalls to try out 😁
