Bill, I have learned so much from your videos over the years, I have even started some people into the picking world. Your knowledge and enthusiasm is infectious and worthy of regard. I wish you the best and thank you for your expertise.
I liked your advice when you picked the medico lock and instead of pinning the first chamber start in the back, because if you can get the last one and work forward you already know how to maneuver the pick to the back and not run into all of the warding.
I would recommend the Ultimate Adversary, which can hold up to 7 pins, and comes with all of the security pins and various springs already so there's never a need to upgrade. I have been using mine for several years, and it still kicks my a** on the regular.
I have the 7 pinner. I'm nowhere near skilled enough to defeat the nastiness I've poured into it but it's a great tool to have around. I would say it's easier as a beginner to stick with standard drivers and fewer pins, but I find it interesting to actually challenge myself and not chicken out. I struggle to set my self a reasonable target though, giggling at my own childish inventiveness as I stuff it full of drunken spools, homemade pins and who knows what else, then find I can't pick the damn thing. Persistence will definitely be more rewarding than conceding defeat.
@@bikkies Well done, sir. My only regret is that I am wearing out the keyway, and may need to get a new after years of wear and tear.
Thank you for all the years, time, heartache, and money spent in service to us. It's been a master class!
I just discovered this channel at the announcement of your retirement. This is one of the most helpful videos on lock picking I have ever watched. Wow. I see that I missed interacting with great teacher. Thankfully your videos are all still here for me to learn from. For that I thank you.
I love the advice of starting with one pan for a beginning picker so you can get a feel for what you’re doing in a feel for the pins themselves. I would add to that to pin the second chamber first if you are brand new to picking, that way you can work on the feel of setting the pen and not have to worry about your top of keyway tensioner getting in your way. I cannot say thank you enough Bill for all of your time and dedication in putting together these videos. You have helped me learn a ton!
Thank you for sharing your passion, time, and expertise with all of us. From the first time you taught me about pinning, you have had a follower. Take care.
Thank you for this video Bill. I think that quite a lot of beginning 'pickers' don't know that such locks are available for such decent prices, which is a shame, since it is a brilliant way to learn the art of lock picking.
Happy retirement Bill, I hope you stay well.
Thank you for everything you've made Bill. You are only reason that I got into lock picking. I will always be grateful for all the knowledge you have shared. I wish your family good health.
Happy retirement Bill and thanks for sharing the passion of locks! From a fellow locksmith.
I wish you good luck Bill, stay save and stay legal!
I just ordered mine, can't wait for it to arrive!
Thanks for all you've taught us Bill.
Bill, I have just recently started watching your content, coming from LPL's channel. I look forward to watching all of your videos, in time.
Good luck with your retirement!
Thank you for all your knowledge. I have appreciated all of your videos, and wish you the best in your retirement.
Good bye Bill, I'll miss you. Thanks for the years of entertainment.
Unless I am mistaken they do not ship to Canada for some reason.
You have a gazillion links there below, but I can't see a link to where I can purchase the lock your are talking about, just to try?
The Practice Lock would cost $29.45 for international shipping ( usa -> swiss).
Are there alternative sellers in the EU?
Don't forget importation tax since it comes from outside EU. For me that would be an additional 25%
@@Kulfaangaren You could buy a cheap off-brand cylinder in Bauhaus and loose Ruko pins from lavprislaase.dk (they also sell followers etc.), but it'll add up to more.
should I get the 7 pin if I am just starting out so that I have room to grow into working up to 7?
We miss you so much Bill 😭
These look amazing but would cost upwards of $80 to purchase with shipping to the UK! @bosnianbill do you have any recommendations from U.K. retailers?
Enjoy your retirement Bill! Thank you for all the videos.
Where do I buy this? I googled it but no luck.
happy retirement brother
Enjoy your retirement, Bill! Thanks for sharing all this knowledge
I can’t find this lock? I’ve gone through all the links underneath. Can anyone advise where this particular type/model/brand he uses here?
Found it! Lol
🙏
Just uploaded but comments from 5 years ago?
private video that was unlocked.
Hacked maybe.
@@BD90.. Nope, Bill has a lot going on in his world right now and I haven't been able to get to locklab.com for a few days. I believe he's releasing these since he doesn't have time to make more video's at the moment. That being said I'm grateful, excellent content as always. We can all help him out by becoming Patreon's over here www.patreon.com/bosnianbill
$10 for ther extra pack of pins 😱 that's crazy cheap.
Yeah, I pay around $0.50 retail per pin for slightly serrated pins and standard pins for ASSA 6-pinners.
I hope the next part of your life has the same amount of joy that I’ve had watching your videos each week, thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Did Bill die
No he's just got a lot going on in his world right now, no time to do new video's from what I understand.
