Does an infant have to be strapped into the dove point harness or can you put them in swaddled as in a traditional bassinet? I can’t tell how robust this option really is for infants, and no one seems to address this in any reviews. The Valco website says you need an insert for newborns…
I was so set on this for my twins when we move to a stroller from the Vista v2 (vista v2 very disappointed with the seats world facing! Seats can’t recline world facing and my girls kick eachother in the head already and they’re only just 12 months old and still small 10kg!) but no belly bars :( they love holding on the belly bars in our bush walking pram the MB duet (got it second hand and LOVE THE DUET. Wish I got it for them brand new from newbies however it is very heavy to get in and out the car, thankfully my duet just stays at home most the time for bush walks (we are in Australia so always on walks in the bush) So will likely be getting the duo trend as I need belly bars. And the width of seat does concern me. The duet I have now their shoulders are close to the edge and as I said my girls are still small. Ugh prams are hard work I research so much and watch CZcams a lot! It’s hard when you can’t see a demo in real life and no one is getting the slim twin instore around me!
Does the Slim Twin have the option for a complete upright position? Or is it always a bit reclined? It looks like the Duo allows for a more upright position if needed. Also, would you recommend The Slim Twin for everyday outdoor use? (If replacing standard wheels with infinity wheels?) There is a trail I often go on that is mostly paved, but there are areas you pass through that are dirt and gravel. Thanks!!
The seat reclines are quite similar but your kiddos should be able to sit up just a little higher in the Snap Duo Trend and yes, the Slim Twin should be okay with Infinity Wheels. It won't perform nearly as well as a true all-terrain stroller with more generous suspension but you could probably get away with patches of dirt or gravel as long as most of the path is paved.
