How To CLONE ROSES | Top 10 Tips: CUTTINGS PROPAGATION METHOD

Alternative and somewhat more challenging methods of cloning roses are by way of (1) Air Layering, and (2) Grafting. (1:59) Select growth between 6-12 months
(2:42) Limit length to appx 6-10”
(3:24) Prune appx ¼ inch from node
(4:05) Score the bottom of the cutting to increase absorption & increase surface area for root development

(5:30) Plant 1+ nodes into soil medium: 50/50 perlite + vermiculite
(6:48) Water from the bottom-only, to encourage roots to come down for a drink

🌻 unless I missed it, you didn't mention what type of light or environment to put the cuttings in to root?
This video helped a great deal my grandmother is a Master Gardener but her mobility isn't what it used to be so I'm trying to do my best to save her garden
All cuttings need is water & good, clean soil, but these tips help!

This is so informative as far as when to clone. Plants i clone are clones at 2 months

hello , you mentioned cinnamon is a good natural alternative to the root powder. would you do the same method by dipping the cuttings bottom in the cinnamon as well ?

Curious if plants treated with mono-silicic acid would provide even better cuttings. I've heard it provides better cut roses in regards to their longevity. Would love to see studies on this.

Dude u sure hope yr right & ŋºţ łəfţ. Bc I heard growing up rose are harto propergat from cutting. All grown up, 2 years ŊôẄ the furthest my cuttings gi is ŋəẅ top growth then they black n die. I give up then try something different. I'm so down just going to be a consumer buy some.
I thought clear pots was bad for roots
