I’m going to take $200 and invest in this stock based on Richard Fain’s suggestion! This will be the first time investing in about 10 years. I’m a young 60 something, who’s retired on a decent pension, and I’m ready to invest 30% of my monthly retirement! 😌
Dealers are not giving cars away nor are they desperate. Even broke people will always find money for the car they want.
WRONG! My son works in the industry for 10 years at a franchise dealership and they scrambling! He said that people are looking for CASH cars. They are trying to get more of them in, so they will have something to sell and meet the demand.
@@emphone66 ok so how much is that average cash car?? The buyer will still look for financing and then get turned down or hit with a upside down deal. No easy pickings in the car game.

And how long will we have to wait?? I've been waiting since January of 2023 and NOOOOOOBODY wants to be reasonable. I've seen '23 pickups selling for the SAME price as a '24 model with all the same options and equipment. I won't be buying a new car this year either. Last December was a historic moment for me: not a single stealership wanted to cut a deal to move their inventory and make room for the '24 models. NONE. I hope they all go bankrupt.

@@elektrastone7327what car you driving? Is it a rebuild title? Did you had any accidents in the past 3 years? My insurance full coverage on an 2014 BMW is only $180 a month with Progressive.
This is only partially accurate information. Leased cars are NOT owned by car dealerships. They are owned by the manufacturer. So car dealerships are NOT in trouble. Look at a lease contract: the lending institution is NOT a dealership, it is the financial (banking division) of the manufacturer. Tesla is offloading inventory because they are having issues with their product. People are also learning that the infrastructure to charge EV’s is not meeting demand. As a person who was a finance manager and someone who worked at dealerships for over 20 years, I’m telling you that he is not giving complete information. Anyone who tells you to pay cash for a car, needs to be scrutinized. Cars are not assets. The consistently depreciate. You don’t hear about Honda or Toyota struggling to sell cars. The only problem that they are having is getting enough production.
Car dealerships are definitely in trouble. Many dealers cannot pay their current floor plans and they won’t be able to for some with these current car prices.

I just had a 3 week run shopping for a used car. The Lexus Dealership has a car listed for $26,990 and I offered $21,000 the dealership ran me off the lot and told me to have a good day. Another Dealership has a 2021 Genesis GV80 listed at $48, 640 and I offered them $40,000 and they also told me to have a good day..No Deal. So as I see it these dealerships are NOT trying to make any deals. This is just my opinion!
You have to wait for a particular new unit to be on the lot for 91 days. The dealer has 90 days on their consignment contract and they have to pay the bank to keep them after that. Offer $2k above list and they won't say no on a 91 day car. You may not like the color or interior but you can sell it in 2 years and repeat
So sad.
If you in the market for a reliable car you need to keep it for 15 to 20 years
The greedy car dealers are lowering prices like that , they will give you a 10 year car payment

Cash no more than $7k don’t get wrapped up on the subscription expenses trap
When the Middle class and lower don't buy it affects the economy because The Wealthy don't buy enough to keep the economy safe.

If a person can do it it's best not to own ANY car right now. The high insurance payments alone are enough to justify not owning any car. For those of us who are retired and living in a small town with in town bus transportation it is possible to go without a car for an extended period.

I;ve noticed local car dealers seem to be WELL stocked with 2024 new car models, just the opposite from last year. Even the Lexus dealer is well stocked.

Don't know man, been trying to buy a car and getting a lot of pushback when trying to negotiate. Dealers are perfectly happy to hold onto inventory if it means not selling below their book cost, especially for certain types of cars. Seems crazy, the only way you're getting a deal is if you are willing to take anything.
Yes, you’re right. Had this experience yesterday at a dealership. The dealership wasn’t even willing to reduce it by $1,000. They were not willing to do anything! The car was a 2017. I left.

As birth rates continue to decline, naturally consumerism will be directly impacted. It is not only the absent future consumer, but the family that is in the world without children that buys less. Manufacturers are responsible for leased cars that aren't bought. Dealerships have an option to buy leased vehicles and resale them for a profit.
Car dealerships are not lowering their prices unless the sales people just want full commission.

Find a mid luxury car 91 days on the lot, bring your own financing and offer $2k above list. They won't say no. Privately sell the same car 2 years later for market price. Rinse and repeat and you basically get paid to drive new cars

It didn't happen through 2023. They are in nooooo hurry to do so. Price will never drop. I've seen more and more '23 models pop up out of nowhere and they cost the same as this year's models. They're all working to rip us off as hard as they can. Just don't buy. I probably will have to start learning how to fix my car myself as it might be the last ICE car I ever own and it's already almost 9 years old.

Oh boy. I was just at a dealership looking at a pre certified car. Asking price is 23,986.00 mileage is 36, 000. Make Nissan rogue 2021. My car is giving a bit o a problem. It'ss a 2008 hyundai veracruz. Now i am having second thoughts. Help
I wouldn’t dare go to a regular car dealer. Go to Carmax with no haggling involved after viewing the vehicles you want and are available online. Make sure the vehicle is put on hold or reserved asap because someone else can come in and take it. They also have a 150,000 mile extended warranty if you purchase a car and it is still in warranty for $2500.00. You can set your copay up front for services all the way down from $50.00 to $100.00. Use your own financing with a credit union and bring in a down payment if possible. I got caught around the time the vehicles were going up and found out I could get a good deal on a sedan. I love my Ford Fusion Hybrid (no plug in) with Titanium trim. By day 7, I still have a half a tank of gas and only need $30 to fill up every week.
Get an early to mid 2000's Toyota with low miles for CASH! Take it for a pre-purchase inspection for $100. It won't be sexy, but it will not leave you stranded if you take care of it. Save your money.
@@latoniatbryant1179 Car Max is hardly any different. There's a reason the 2 Car Max lots near me are overflowing with cars. They are stuffed so full that you can't see the pavement. One guy wanted to see a car they had. The employees had to move 6-7 cars to get to it because the lot was so full.

Me and my husband was used cars dealers in the 80s and 90s. That when the economy was booming.
We made our finances not only in cars but in rented out apartments as well.
We are so glad we was in the right ERA we don't know what to do.

Brother Richard hasn't reached out to you in some time. But I haven't had a car in 5 years now. My form of transportation is an e-bike and that's been for the last 3 years. After traveling in Europe and Asia their main form of transportation was bicycles, they seemed a much healthier and cheaper form of getting around. Now when I need a car I can rent or Uber
