I am confused as to why in response to Doomsday, Elliot didn’t cast Chain of Vapour targeting Grenzo. Bill had no mana to cast Grenzo, so it would possibly save him 2 turns
Yes, that's the correct way to play it here I think.
My guess is that he didn’t expect the dockside making 8 treasures, so his plan was to wait until after the doomsday because of how all in doomsday is. Given the information he had about how grenzo doomsday piles are typically made, I believe it was correct to wait until he did because it would have meant Bill was functionally dead if it worked out. Obviously it didn’t because dockside is busted, but it’s a newer addition that wasn’t in last time any of them played the deck, so it’s not surprising that they didn’t think about it

are those 416 shotgun mics? if so you should try back them away a bit from people. they are designed to pick up things with great accuracy from a few feet away, so closer than 2 feet or so is not their optimal position

I loved generating Grahams number in tokens, that's styling. Although when Bill went to send 1 arrow arrow 1 tokens at someone isn't that just one.

If you have an extra spot in the Doomsday pile with the Priests gone you could always put an old Eldrazi titan on top and if everything goes wrong you can use it to shuffle the relevant things back, lol

I’m not sure if it would have done enough, but would Chain of Vapor targeting Jim’s board force him to keep copying the spell to remove his own artifacts thus reducing Dockside’s effectiveness. It’s a funny play if it works and somewhat takes out 2 players if its enough.

Hey i remember the ban list episode and loved it. As a thought for a restriction that changes the format a lot I'd love to see a "no searching libraries" episode.
Would a card that ends the turn (like Time Stop) be a good counter to a combo deck like that Grenzo deck?

These mats aren't available anymore - they were a limited edition print run we ran for a Kickstarter campaign back in July. We might give a few away through contests over the next few months, so keep an eye on our social media!

I'm curious as to the benefits of Bosh over something like Daretti
If you can make infinite mana, Bosh acts as the outlet in the CZ, so you don't need a way to draw your deck. (In theory at least - I haven't done it yet).
@@TheSpikeFeeders something you might be able to try if he's an outlet is dockside + cloudstone curio + any creature makes infinite mana equal to 3+ cmc of the 2nd creature

Arrow notation for the number of copies, I've never been happier.
I see what Bill was saying about dualcaster mage. However, once doomsday resolves the grenzo pile really doesn't have a point where spells are cast anymore. It would be unlikely that dualcaster could be used on your turn to counter a spell. I guess for someone else's turn, but passing the turn after doomsday is just not what that deck wants to do, makes it awkward.
Bosh is a great card. I used to have a deck where I would draw practically every card in my deck in one turn using a Metalworker, Staff of Domination combo and then sac it all to Bosh to go right at someone

If you remove Grenzo, doesn't it make so the "power" is 0? For the ability I mean, because there is no "Grenzo" to check it?
If Grenzo isn't on the battlefield when its ability resolves, the game refers to the last known information from when it was on the battlefield.

I made a budget style bosh combo deck and its kind of a meme. Either it horribly looses or it wins while doing absolutely nothing all game. Its definetly not cEDH material tho. More of a average deck when it comes to winrate but really not fun to play or play against because of the game just feeling like its luck if the deck wins or not and it lacking many forms of interaction. Also it ramp was kinda bad because of cheap mana rocks.
In response to the dockside extortionist, Eliot should have cast the chain of vapor to bounce the curse of opulence. Jan, Eliot and Jim should have then made a pact to sac their lands to bounce all their enchantments and artifacts, except for one of Jim's artifacts (because he had 4 artifacts and only 2 lands). This way Dockside only creates 1 treasure and breaks the chain.
After this Eliot and Jim are in really bad positions, Jim with 1 artifact and nothing else, Eliot with a completely bare board.
Jan would be left with a land, 2 mana dorks and Korvold, allowing him to rebuild relatively quickly.
Bill would have 4 lands, the Fellwar stone, Grenzo and dockside, but he'd draw his conscripts at the start of his next turn, making things awkward for him, because now instead of grenzoing the conscripts out for 2 mana, he has to hard cast them for 5. He has the mana for it, but just barely, and any disruption can stop him in his tracks.

It's a bit of an in-joke on the cEDH discord server. There's a guy who goes by Wedge, but on CZcams there is also a fairly popular content creator by the same name, so people frequently ask him if he's THAT Wedge. We love both of them, it's just a bit of fun!

It's really a bummer that in a video kind of showcasing a new deck, said deck didn't do anything :( it's a thing that I noticed happens kind of a lot, in the cedh youtube community :(

I think that you can't pay colorless mana to put a counter on jewelery amulet
You can - it's in the first ruling for Jeweled Amulet.
The key word is "type". If said note the color, that would be a different story because colorless isn't a color, but because the wording is type it works.

lol using arrow arrow notation, why not just make Graham's G1 creatures and attack JIM with it , then G2 @ Jan , then G3 @ Elliot, and G4 creatures for defence...
@bil you know if you make 3^^^3 creatures, and u send 1^^^3 to ea opponent, you only sending 1 creature to ea player....lol so that rakdos charm will do nothing and they would still be alive lol
I'm not a mathematician, just vaguely familiar with the concept of arrow notation, so the intent was to send 1/3 of my creatures at each player :) Also, Rakdos Charm would still kill me, as it only cares about number of creatures and not attacking creatures. Thanks for watching!

Korvold could've won if he had a Fog in hand... Same goes for any other player with a combat damage prevention card.
I feel compelled to point out that Curse of Opulence makes Gold tokens, not Treasures. It had no gameplay effects, but it bothered me whenever it came up.
