Buying food clothes and school fees doesn't fill the void of a parent.. Taking your child from one point just drop them at another s house , doesn't mean you're spending time with them. BOTH should be there for the children. Divorce is prohibited in Christianity. But if you do, you shouldn't remarry. No REASONABLE REASON.
He wasn't saying that one should leave his wife or that his children are more important than his wife. He's only giving an illustration of how important they are to him. Meaning that he values them more than anything.
