#hardwareonly #hardwarejams #themidimaniac #maschineplus #maschinejam #hwjfest 00:00 A new way 03:53 I keep on going! 08:48 Let's get down 10:53 My head in the clouds
Thanks as always for your words. I will hang in there and I have faith. We're still the lucky ones who have daily access to food, clean water, shelter and love.
I’ve had the maschine mk3 for years and it’s been my main sequencer for all my external gear. I love processing my samples through the 808 and 303 then playing them in maschine. Great stuff.
Hey you! Thanks a lot. I personally miss the Live shows but we're open till 00:00 with the restaurant and Summer is a busy time for us. Let's see what we can do end of September when all is getting back to 'normal' ;-) Thanks a lot!
The vibe and the mood of "My head in the clouds" really had me putting it in repeat the other day while catching up with the Festival. Your set was really something Roger. Sometimes less is more and you just proved it. Sorry to hear about your current challenges. I hope everything gets sorted for you soon 🙏.
Thank you so much, Silvio. This combo has opened a new door for me. A more direct control over my musical ideas. And I paid for this combo 800€ which is a steal imho. The M+ almost new for 650 and 150 for the jam. Really happy with the combo.
Sounds great Roger. The video is also really cool. Glad to see you’ve upgraded your equipment. The newer stand-alone make life so much easier! Keep up the good work.
Hey! Thank you so much. I only sold the GT because I wasn’t convinced about that unit. The XT and the 2.0 are still here 💪🏽 Sold the JD-990, JV-1080, 2x MC-50, the VC-1 card and some other items.
Thank you so much! It was you who said 'take a look at M+' and it was exactly what I needed. I have to improve my skills a little bit before uploading tutorials but I'm boiling already. Thanks a lot!!
Yes, I give you the list of gear still here. MV-8800, VS-2480, SP-808, V-Synth, V-Synth XT, Juno1, JP-8080, XV-5050 and M3R. So still enough left ;-) Sold the V-Synth GT, the VC-1 D-50 card, JV-1080 and all expansions separately, JD-990 and the VariOS and TR-8 are also for sale.
Thank you so much! I'm indeed happy with the speed of the M+ although it has also its limits but that is good, having limits. Autosampler is next level.
best of luck.. I thought id check in after a while to check what you were up to with the channel. I just checked your website aswell.. too bad it hasnt really popped off yet. (the archive with the patches, tutorials and brochures etc look awesome in anycase) the other reboot of mv nation also didnt take off sadly (although your website has more than just the mv) too bad really. I still think a community could form around the MV8000/8800.. or maybe its all gone to social media, im not there though.
Thanks for passing by and to drop a comment. I'm a bit silent at the moment. It's indeed unfortunate that the website is not taking off at all. I think the user indeed find their info on FB and IG. I really appreciate your message. Have a good one!
Hoi! Great work. You captured a Klaus Schulze type of vibe on the intro of "A New Way". I'm in a similar position where all my gear except for the RS7000 is listed on Reverb. It's a tough market out there right now but managed to sell a few pieces already. I am actually looking at getting a handful of Volcas. I haven't ever regarded them as serious instruments until recently and somehow I feel they'd be great, right now. So, what does this mean for all the work you've done on the MV and for the scene, you still have it right?! Groeten kerel!
@Unknown Nordic yes, I’ve owned multiple Elektrons but have never gelled with anything quite like with the RS. I don’t use it all that often atm but there’s not a whole lot of gear that you establish a special relation with. For that reason alone, the RS is worth keeping, and who knows…maybe it’ll make its way back into the production. Sounds like you got a good strategy there. Less is often more in our line of work!
@Unknown Nordic I’ve long looked at the EMX and ESX without ever owning one. They look straightforward enough to actually pair with the RS. I have paired it with a Spectralis but it’s not my thing, really. I want more straightforward and less f-ing around. Hence my interest in the Volcas… I subscribed to your channel, hoping to see some RS jams there soon! I have a few on mine if you’re into that kind of thing :) Cheers
@Unknown Nordic Cheers, my friend! Sounds like you did good on doubling your ROI. Korg has a weird tendency to be way ahead of the competition, only to abandon or mess up a line of products. The original Electribes is one that I think they messed up, Monotribe is another one that they should give a proper reissue. The RM1x is cool. Very nice build! I wish the RS had the same quality finish...I got a QY700 but it had damage to the motherboard, something the seller had forgotten to tell me, so didn't get much enjoyment out of it. I think I'll pass on the RM, being too similar to the RS (might as well get a second RS ;) ) but you've rekindled my interest in the Electribes!
Kerel! Thanks you for your message and your compliment regarding Klaus Schulze. So, also making a switch on your musical journey :-) The MV is still here because I can dream that unit. Due to that unit my love for hardware gear became stronger. At this point I'm looking for the right way to combine all units. Groetjes terug! ;-)
@@theMIDImaniac glad to hear you still got the MV! But equally happy to see you rocking this new combo. In negotiations right now for this very combination with a seller on Reverb. Will hit you up if I manage to score it. Cheers
Lovely set buddy, flows together so nicely. Glad you were able to take part and thanks for starting us off.
It was such an honour! ❤️🙌🏽🙏🏽
Hardware jams is a part of my life!
Thank you so much!
We all go through rough patches in life Roger. Hang in there and have faith!
Thanks as always for your words.
I will hang in there and I have faith.

@@theMIDImaniac Amen to that.
Cracking set Rogier, transported ❤🧡🧡💛
Thanks a lot! Appreciated!

Quality set man, really nice changes and moods. Loved it and also great to see only 2 boxes making such a full on rich sound.
Da Doc! Thanks a lot, my man. It's indeed a nice combo, the Maschine+ and the discontinued Jam.
I will dive deeper in these ones!
We stay in touch!
Incredible lovely set with fantastic drum sounds and other awesome magic spices. Special thanks for the vocoder part, you totally impressed me.
Thank you so much for your kind words, András.
Incredible Rogier. Your talent and skills shine once again. Really love your music. BiG LikE !!! 💜
Thank you so much! Man...your set was fire and it was an honour to end my host-session with yours.
I love how you used the TB-3 in a very subtile way.
@@theMIDImaniac awesome host you did !! It was an honour to see you dancing along the set, i really enjoyed the moment !! Thank you very much 🙏
@@krostifmusic Your set made me do that! The energy goes to you!

It's indeed a breeze to have speedy access to sounds, effects and samples.
Still finding my way to improve the workflow ;-)

Great performance Roger with awesome result.👍👍👍
Focus is always good but ....did you have to sell your fantastic V-synth collection?
Hey!
Thank you so much.
I only sold the GT because I wasn’t convinced about that unit.
The XT and the 2.0 are still here 💪🏽
Sold the JD-990, JV-1080, 2x MC-50, the VC-1 card and some other items.
Four brilliant tracks, Rogier. Sometimes less is more! I have this setup. Would be great if you could do a tutorial sometime!
Thank you so much! It was you who said 'take a look at M+' and it was exactly what I needed.
I have to improve my skills a little bit before uploading tutorials but I'm boiling already.
Thanks a lot!!
Roger, do you have any of the old gear still?
Yes, I give you the list of gear still here.
MV-8800, VS-2480, SP-808, V-Synth, V-Synth XT, Juno1, JP-8080, XV-5050 and M3R. So still enough left ;-)

Hi Rogier, do you still have your MV-8800?

For sure! That unit will not leave the studio 🙌🏽
