This is what I needed, just got mine a week ago and shes been good but knew it could do better , I didnt know how to find the advanced settings and knowing adjustments to make , I simply had the large tube transition weight and small tube basic adjustments, now i know what to play with ,thank you for this
I've also experimented with the "tilt" of the tubes. For me a little more downward slope helps the small tube consistency. The tube is a little more populated so you don't have as many "dead spots" it has to turn through. Thanks for the very helpful video.
Yeah, I think they recommend tilt based on flow rate. I haven't messed with that yet though. My next tests will probably be with the tips people are adding to the small tube. I have a couple on order.
Well I had to play with the settings this morning and after doing so now I can get consistently quick drops without the ultra slow lag of the trickle to the last milligram. and yes I use the scale in the mg mode it's more accurate that way due to rounding errors. Thank you for the video you just made an awesome product better,
OK so I was just playing with the settings and my goodness what a game changer, yes you have to experiment and dabble but yeah definitely has taken this device to the next level for me, I can't thank you enough for this
Great video on how to tweak the V4 settings. Wish I could find someone who make an adjustable screw for the back to adjust the angle of the tubes. I did see someone selling shims. But I think a screw would be better.
Just got mine yesterday, didn't know about the advanced settings, but just playing with the basic ones, it's already faster than I can dump a charge, seat the bullet, and a quick OAL measurement before the next charge is dropped. Don't see any reason to mess with it at this point. This was with H335, so it does do well with small spherical powder. I'll have to wait until I try some larger grain stick stuff to see how it does.
The whole issue as I see it, the trickler tube needed a redesign, it’s basically the same as any other dispenser, that’s why the McDonald’s straw or printed tips are made, I threaded the tube all the way through on my V4 it helped some,But still not happy the way it flows. Soon as wait times come down on the SuperTricker I will have one
Yeah, I haven't messed with tips yet. I've thought about testing them to see if they really make a difference, but honestly "faster" at this point won't really help me personally. Obviously, better is better, but it's already going faster than I can seat bullets and measure OAL.
Dude you just saved me hours , i was loading 9 mm 4 grain of titegroup powder , and machine was only using small tube , it took forever , so i made changes and now it uses large tube all the way till it hits 3.85 grains thsn small tube kicks it and finish it off ! Nice takes seconds now
Tilt, tilt, tilt. Getting the small tube flow rate to the .2 area is the starting point. Then all those things you discuss will have more influence on speed and accuracy. Folks should really start by reading the instructions too.
@Tech Dregs there are shims available for the back or you can get a new lid with an adjustable screw under it or shim it yourself. They decided with the beta run the adjustable tilt screw was too complicated. Turns out that decision has created lots of issues for folks with the V4. But it is in the instruction manual.
When you go into "settings" in the app, press "close" and then hold it for a while. The expanded settings will show up. However, I think he has recently made changes to the app also, so it may be different from this video.
@@TechDregs ok, I’ll look again tonight all I see is tools and calibration then slow and fast manual running. I was able to use the concepts from this video to really speed my runs up though, so either way thanks a lot!
What app version are you using? It should work if you go into settings. At the bottom will be "close". Press and hold close for a few seconds and more settings will appear. But like I said, he may have updated the app and changed all that.
I am a newbie and not tech savvy. I use h4350 for 39.2 grains. Could you give me an idea of starting settings. I don’t really care about the time. Thanks.
Probably CE would be the cheapest. ceproducts.shop/products/deposit-for-autotrickler-v4-a-d-fx-120i Technically the AT and scale are separate purchases, but they bundle it. Also note that the software has been updated since this video (I have another video on the newer software).

Great video, thanks for the information 👍
Fantastic informative video sir thanks 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

What's interesting is it looks like the early/beta versions had tilt adjustment built in, but the production units didn't.

Once I figured the nuances of the tilt, the powder drops are extremely accurate and super fast
Did the app change or is the iOS and android different? Mine only has 4 tuning options

I don’t have a close button on my app?

Accuracy is most important to me
I'd just use the default calibration if you're not worried about time. It works.
@@TechDregs is it set automatically??
It has a little calibration routine you can run in the app. You run it and it does some basic settings, and it works fine.
@@TechDregs thank you
Great video. Where could I pick that system up? Thanks

Okay, thanks, brother!
Decent video but could you leave the phone screen on the screen without your thumb on there. Thanks
