  • Hello everyone! I’m Ryusei.
Today I made Teriyaki chicken again. But I don’t use Sake and Mirin. Although I thought these ingredients are essential for teriyaki sauce, my viewer gave me a considering chance to make teriyaki without them and I used ginger ale as a substitute.
    Thank you so much!
I hope you enjoy Teriyaki chicken everywhere🌏

My mother used lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7-Up) in meat marinades, so I was happy to see you use ginger ale for teriyaki. It reminded me of her cooking.

Hi Ryusei, I watch all your video's with much pleasure. I'm a videographer myself. If I may give you a tip: try to get closer to a microphone for the shots where you talk to the camera. The sound will improve greatly. Thanks for your recipes. I love them.

Teriyaki + rice is probably my favorite way to eat chicken. It's freaking delicious. I usually make a good amount of teriyaki and keep in my fridge for a few days. It's amazing. Never tried it with ginger ale, though. Looks like an interesting combination. Thank you, mate!

I like these too and often make teriyaki. Actually I had never tried when my viewer told me that they didn’t get sake or mirin. So I tried looking for something to make teriyaki as a substitute. It’s also good! Thank you for watching and your comment😊

@Kyodokan - Thank you for the video recipe. Helpful hint to those who will try this frying technique. I've wrapped bricks in tinfoil whilst making panini sandwiches; I believe doing the same would work well on this too
