I will be seeing every single show, best series I've seen in decades! I love it when a movie or series has a cast that makes the characters so damn good, plenty of action too, absolutely perfect for me. Of course the director brings it all together. WTG people, yer on a roll.

I think he meant "we're" as in the show, not himself. Even aside from the hints at his death being this season, he had long hair in this interview. If he were filming season 5 with them wouldn't he have his hair cut?

Did Travis just say 10 new episode later this year, and we´re shooting 20 more for season 5? For me that sounds like Ragnar will not die in part 2 of season 5.... I'll thank Odin and the other gods if they will keep Ragnar in the show.
There's almost a 100% chance that Ragnar will die at the end of season 4. Ivar and Bjorn are likely going to take over as the new "main" characters.

That is supposedly the event that triggers the biggest Viking invasion in history. And Aella gets the blood eagle.
Alfred (Aethelstan's kid, Ecbert's intended heir) eventually defeats the Vikings in England, and unites the entire kingdom.
Not only that, but a descendant of Rollo will conquer Saxon England.
I like how they set it up in the show.

well its true but im going to be really sad o see him die
His hair was long because of the production of Warcraft maybe? And after every wrap up of each season's shoot, I'm sure the director allows the actors to grow their hair and get it cut or shave again right before the start of the next season's production shoot.. but still, I still thinks he will die in the end of season 4..However much I don't want him to die, history is history afterall.
You might be right, but there is more to Ragnar's story in Viking tales, he even goes to war with some of his sons at certain points.
And he can just shave his hair when he needs to start shooting again, or after this season Ragnar has long hair, old man sort of look.

no, really? That's where they're going with Lagertha? I thought it was just a pretty guy...
its not historical. There's a lot of historical basis for the events in the show but even Ragnar himself is semi-mythological, His name doesn't appear in non-Viking history but his children do. Floki is pure fiction. Rollo, historically, is given credit for founding normady in france
A lot of what happens in the show seems to be based on the deeds of other viking people, whether some of those events are fictional is usually up for debate. Until they start throwing in some Odin and stuff, then it's pretty obvious.
They even had Floki go through a similar torture that Loki went through in Viking mythology, albeit not for such a long time and not with snake venom.
There was even foreshadowing to that much earlier in the show.
