When I was first told that I wa losing my sight I contacted RNIB and registered with them. I was told that I would be contacted. NOTHING
When I needed support to find employment, I contacted RNIB again,I registered with them again and was told that I would be contacted. NOTHING.
I eventually got help from a wonderful organisation called Birmingham focus, who have and still do support me.
I do occasionally get correspondence from RNIB, always asking me for a donation. I give them NOTHING
focuses on support and training, but mentions nothing about the social isolation
How do poeple outside the UK get help
I need help get no help at all
Hi Samantha, we're so sorry to hear that you don't feel you've had any support. We can definitely help - give us a call on 0303 123 9999 or email helpline@rnib.org.uk and we'll be very happy to talk through your situation and support you.
RNIB I am not from britain but can you please give me advice? The vision in my left eye is -2.00 and in the right eye is 2.75. Can my myopia lead to blindness? Please answer, it would be a great help to me. Thanks!
