- rope a dope is a very different energy trap, compared to what a chandelle is. but just like the chandelle, it requires certain amount of knowledge.

I wish I had captured the whole battle, but I used this exact trick just a little bit ago. Took me a couple of minutes to finish him off but oh my did this look exactly like your video. As a guy who can't dog fight very well I am ecstatic that this worked! Thank you! I could only capture the last 2 minutes of the fight and I had already performed this manuever to bleed his energy but I will have it up on my channel!

This is only possible when your flying a 1943 plane that has a BR of 2.7 vs planes that are from 1940-1941 rofl... he goes 560kph while his enemies cant even break 500kph.

This would be useful if I had planes that could maneuver for anything lol, The moment I start that High Yo-yo, the plane on my tail is gonna close the distance in seconds, while I'm still trying to point my nose to the side. Though this could just be because I'm at the point where German planes (yeah, I'm a German main) start to lose their potency against the allied teams, considering they start getting their super props, and doing a high yo-yo in those fat and heavy German 4.7 to 5.7 (109 to be specific) props when the enemy on your tail moves at 500 kph is an express trip to getting your pilot sniped. Though in level flight at high altitude, I can outrun a spitfire, (in my G6, we were flying level and there was a spitfire on my tail, but it couldn't keep up, we kept going until the gap widened to about 4km) but the moment I try to maneuver, I willingly sign my life away.
Guess it's time to grind the 190's
Yeah man, good stuff. It feels like this was bread out of hen you are a bit too tight on the top of your chandelle and get to the rollover a bit too early and instead you can dive away, which I never really knew that you could set them back up that way, which is great if they do follow. Will be sure to give this a try. I actually had to play RB today because I couldn't grind in sim because there were no matches. I enjoyed it. 8 kills in a couple hours was nice. Thanks

i just tried this, i had 2 mosquitoes chasing me and used this trick and managed to stall both of them right below me and dove in to kill one of them
imagine if you had to do a shot every time green fury says "high yo-yo"

I don't think this particular maneuver was useful in real life, but the rope a dope/stall fighting was extremely common during WWII, it was a common tactic that many people knew about.
As a new player I fear people like Green Fury

There absolutely was, .50 deal roughly a half of the damage they used to do before 1.80
Which is okay, because they dealt way too much damage at high range before it.

My question is, I've seen plenty youtuber look behind themselves at the enemy fighter on their tail but also they can maneuver while doing so.
How do you do so ?
Im using the C key to look around while using " WASD " to maneuver.
But when im going to shoot i need to release the buttom and that will just make my camera turn infront of the plane and thats pretty uncomfy..
The youtubers i've seen is doing it with something else.
or is it possible to use mouse aim while in free look ?

hey, i used to do the same thing, if you keep maneuvering with wasd(+rudder) you can use mouse to look around (with reticule), pratice what you did without C

pretty soon I'll be doing the Germans or the Brits, Germans were the 1st nation I played, but they kept getting a nerf on each update so I stopped playing them for a while
