Today, we’re going to talk about the best natural things to do for difficulty breathing, air hunger, or dyspnea.
Traditionally, people may have heard of this symptom being caused by asthma, pneumonia, COPD, lung infection, anemia, or a heart condition. But what if you rule these conditions out and still have problems breathing?
This is called pseudo-dyspnea. With pseudo-dyspnea, you may feel better with exercise and worse with rest.
Top causes of pseudo-dyspnea (difficulty breathing) and natural remedies:
1. Silent reflux
Natural solutions:
• Chlorophyll
• Wheatgrass juice powder
• Betaine hydrochloride (if there isn’t irritation to the gut or esophagus)
• Apple cider vinegar diluted in water and consumed through a straw (if there isn’t irritation to the gut or esophagus)
2. Alkalosis
Natural solutions:
• Betaine hydrochloride (if there isn’t irritation to the gut or esophagus)
• Apple cider vinegar diluted in water and consumed through a straw (if there isn’t irritation to the gut or esophagus)
• Healthy Keto® and intermittent fasting
• TUDCA
3. Costochondritis
Natural solutions:
• Massaging and stretching the spine
• Using a mobility stick
4. COVID
Natural solutions:
• Thiamine (vitamin B1)

I sometimes get the feeling that God speaks to me through Dr. Berg, I'll get a notification to one of his videos when i find myself dealing with an issue he is describing the solution for. I love this guy!
Me, too!
Maybe law of attraction?
I wish he was in my country 😢😢he is such a good human being
This Doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health.
He is brilliant, and a gem of a person to anyone with common sense about how to improve their health in a sustained way.
I just love learning from his simple to understand videos ... I respect this man immensely. 👍👍👍
I knew that my liver swelling was effecting my breathing but you are the only one to acknowledge that. Thank you, Dr. Berg.
Cuz most Drs are r3tarded.
AF betafood will help you with gallbladder sludge!
@@allison471plz tell me what should i do i think i also have same problem
How to fix??
Dr Berg’s videos /articles on liver issues and on breathing issues may help.
Whenever i suffer from a condition that perplexes me.
Dr berg comes up with a video concerning my symptoms.
Amazing.
I had this problem for six months guys.
I understand how you feel and how it drains everything and makes you feel miserable.
But do not give up!
I am still not 100% sure what's my problem is, but it's 95-98% of normal breathing now.
Here is what I did for six month:
1) I checked my lungs (xray and breathing test) all was good and clean. So I figured probably not lungs, although I've been smoking for 12 years.
2) I checked my heart ecg and it was okay too. And when I do exercises, I don't feel worse, but actually better!
3) I checked my gallbladder and found 3 stones, one of them disolvee by now. Working on others, even tho they are 1,1 cm. I drank tudca, but it didn't help my breathing.
4) Then i thought it could be one of two things. Costochodritis or silent reflux.
5) I checked my stomach and found h pylori and reflux. I started treating h pylori, before treating reflux, cause that's what dr berg sugessted.
6) after the treatment, I feel better, my stool is better and breathing came from 80% to 90% of normal.
7) then I started drinking apple cider vinegar (now when he pylori is gone) and added betaine hcl few days ago.
I also started keto (or more like carnivore with dairy) and 3 times a week gym + 5 times a week walking 10000 steps. Also added pull ups and hanging.
Now I feel 95-98%, but I ordered back-pod on Amazon, which is what you need for costochodritis according to Steve August.
So I suggest you to use this miserable condition as a tool and motivation to change the way you live! For sure check your lungs and heart first, then you can try other stuff.
I would also suggest doing Wim Hof breathing technique, it gives me relief.
From supplements, I take zinc, selene, d3, tudca, acv, betaine hcl.
For anyone who is going through this, I ask to stay calm and strong. No one will take care of your health, except you.
Feel free to ask questions or just like, so others might find something useful or relate and comment.
Thanks for sharing this info, I have shortness of breath and I am suffering a right now. Just as I have been the past 2 months :(. I still exercise but not as much and not as intense as I used to, before I started having this breathing problem. I love to play soccer and workout and I choose to power through my shortness of breath sometimes when I do play soccer or workout. But again, I don't push as hard as I used to compared to when I used to breathe normally (Sometimes my breathing does get actually better with excersie but sometimes in a way.) To get to the point, Ive checked my heart and lungs through X-ray, and my lungs and heart is good. Then I checked my CO2 levels and its within normal rage which means I probably don't need to take Tudca, so I am thinking I do have a digestive issue which I think I do since I get bloated very easily and full fast. I feel like I can't digest food that efferently. So did you check your stomach by doing some type of test at your doctors and if so what test was it? Also, since you had a problem with your stomach, did you feel a burning sensation, or felt bloated most of the time? Thanks for your time. I really appreciate it if you replied to me, I have been suffering lately with this breathing problem that I have been dealing with these past 2 months. :(
I also did take Grass Wheat Juice powder but that didn't really help.
@@ericoropeza8303 Hi there. Yes, I had some bloating and a little pain, when i press my stomach laying down. I did the test (fiberoptic gastroduodenoscopy), is when you swallow the tube and doc checks your stomach. I would suggest checking that as well. Watching Dr.Berg and others suggest that breathing problems could be due to the silent reflux, which you probably have, if you get bloated and burning sensation. I am myself not fully recovered, but i'm 93-95% of a normal. Going to check my stomach next month to see if i cured H pylori and reflux.Oh and i def couldn't digest food as well as i am now, so maybe our problem is similar. Go see gastroenterologist, and let me know what you found later on)
5) THIAMINE DEFICIENCY, due to Flagyl. It took me 9 years of suffering to figure this out !
👍
Thanks
I'm already under weight i want to gain weight plus i have acid reflux gerd and i only have one kidney one of my kidney is shrinked plz tell how to gain weight
@@facts4147I've heard that the inability to gain weight can come from a B1 deficiency and it can also come from having an insufficient digestive system. Personally, I would work on having all the b supplements naturally in your diet. And I would also work on having a good probiotic(50B), kefir, etc. vitamin C is also important...thru food sources.
This doctor is SO informative . He and Dr. GUNDRY. ❤
It is a crime to censor you! We need you and others like you, including Dr Mercola.
Thankful dr Berg. Very informative and excellent explanation. I am grateful the way you speak so deeply.
Thank you for such HELPFUL information that would be extremely hard to get at the drs office. It is WONDERFUL to think that with someone like you we can take charge of our own health care 🤗🙏☺💞
this doctor has been explaining things even ive been suffering i dont know how to describe to doctors... some doctors just give you drugs, its easiest way but doesnt treat you long term😢
I was diagnosed with COPD 11 years ago. I had various tests 8 years ago, but the hospital results never materialised. I don’t however accept the this is the primary reason for my problems with breathing. For many, many years prior to the diagnosis I had sinusitis every time I had a cold and antibiotics each time. I can an do sing without issue and as long as I whistle, I get no issues with walking, it the medics won’t listen to me and just keep changing my COPD meds. I believe I am not breathing in sufficiently and therefore I don’t have enough oxygen in my lungs to breath out fully. My logic tells me that this results in my breathing getting shallower and shallower with each step. The evidence of this is that if I try to dance, even the slowest song, I am done in just over 1 minute.
Sadly I don’t have the finances to go private in UK, but I am sick of the doctors treating symptoms rather than listening to me and finding out the root cause and then treating it.
Believe it or not; working out the proper way with weights at the gym, swimming, and Yoga taught me how to improve my overall breathing!
Thank you once again;
Dr. Berg for another invaluable, educating, and informative health & wellness video!
You're the best!
Costochondritis..12 yrs of suffering from a fall, physical therapy, doctors didn't figure it out! Ty!!!!
Thank u Dr. Berg, you're sure the inspiration for many people from different walks.
Very glad to be of help.
Very interesting and well presented topic. Thanks Dr. Berg!! 🩷
Most welcome! Glad you liked it!
Bless you, Dr. Berg! Thank you for all you do.
Very glad to be of help.
Yup, you just summed up what I've been experiencing, heartburn with cough, At time just hacking cough. I can't get enough air huff and puff, it's weird. So I figure E, D3, wheatgrass instead of just AM, I will take 3 times a day with TUDCA and milk thistle. I also get watery eyed from coughing at times. Plus just ordered the Pneumo something or other for the lungs from Standard Process. Hope this all works. LOVE YOU DR. BERG
This was excellent! Thank you Dr. Berg 😊
Most welcome! Glad you found it useful!
Just had this today, took an antihistamine and rested, pressed on some breathing pressure points, it's humid today in NSW Australia, dust also makes my breathing bad! I clean people's houses so that gets tricky, so does mouldy stuff
Engaging with the Dr. Berg video like a good boy ❤️
Perfect as always. Thank you.
Thanks. Appreciate your comment.
Already awake for this.
Wow, I am trying to heal from a bad virus and went back to urgent care today because my breathing has been so labored with shortness of breath and pain throughout my chest but no congestion in my chest to cause it. Drs said my lungs sound clear. Yet I cant hardly do simple daily tasks without feeling like im gasping for air and about to pass out. You always post what we need just in time! Bless you Dr. Berg!🙏
Great 👍 he’s made more videos on this, that may help also.
Same with me
Thank you so much. Really needed this information. ❤
You're most welcome!
Thank you Dr Berg you have a wonderful day And thanks again for the info God bless your family 💗 young man 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌸
You made this video on time, i needed to know this.
He made earlier videos on this subject that may help as well.
Happy Monday, everyone! Today, I will decide if I want to gain a couple of pounds of muscle this week! 🎉 I know one thing.. it won't be by eating bromated carbs, fructose consumption, nor drugs/steroids. Healthy Keto for the win! Thanks, Dr. Berg! 🇺🇸
Very Informative, Good Video Dr.Berg! Also getting enough sleep and staying away from inflammatory foods should be a big help to people suffering from this.
Yes, thanks for watching!
Since I started taping my mouth shut at night I’ve become a nose breather all day and night! It’s reduced my anxiety dramatically and I no longer struggle with air hunger! Thanks for that life changing tip Doc! ❤️ along with hundreds of other of your tips!
Could you please do another video on RA- and trigger thumb and finger? Boy, I’m struggling. I have a digisplint for my thumb, because of my trigger thumb, but now my whole hand is ceasing up and triggering.😫 TIA Dr Berg!❤
Yes!!!! Nose breathing has helped me tremendously. Mouth tape at night 🌙 and conscious nose breathing all day. It helps so much.
@kimc451 try an organic whole food vitamin B! Also try to increase your vitamin C 😊
opposite for me works - mouth open ain' taping my mouth shut with my Sleep apnea lol
@@palidanek74 I use a little sliver of medical tape, a piece about an inch and a half long, and I slice it in half. So it’s very skinny. I put it up and down the middle of my lips to keep them shut, but I can very easily breathe through my mouth if I feel panicky. I’ve struggled with claustrophobia and anxiety my whole life, so it had to be something that I could get out of quickly if I needed to. lol
It really worked! Dr Berg also talks about how nose breathing can help with sleep apnea! VERY interesting! You may want to watch it! 😊
What question do you have that was not answered in any of his existing videos on rheumatoid arthritis?
Thank you Dr. Berg👑🏆
Anytime!
No way, I googled this (Dyspnea) last night, because I couldnt sleep, and had difficulty breathing.. and you do a video about it today! You must be some kind of a wizard or magician, of course in a good way haha. Thank you so much Dr. Berg.
Glad to help!
Lol, seems several people have commented the same :)
@@Drberg all this is so confusing it makes my head spin and everyone knows you can’t ask your md. So for me I had gallbladder removed and have to take Colesevelam or everything I eat goes right through me. It interferes with vitamins, nutrients, supplements etc. and I am hypothyroid & take levothyroxine so can’t have anything in am with this. I have silent reflux and hiatal hernia. I want to take the zinc L carnosine & chlorophyll but not sure if & when I should due to my medications already. Plus TUDCA sounds good for so much but is this a no go for me b/c of my no gallbladder situation causing BAM? Any thoughts comments welcome & much appreciated.
Thank you so much ~ I’m asthmatic and you’ve absolutely been a Godsend. I know this will help me! Blessings 🙏❤️

Love your organic wheat grass juice powder and electrolytes powder
You going to have any Black Friday sales this year?
Id like to stock up for the year
I've something since childhood that made me click this video. It's something hat makes me imagine a little gauge every time I breathe and sometimes, when the gauge doesn't fill, is when I start breathing deeper untill I get that breath in that makes the gauge fill. I then feel this calm come over me, untill the gauge doesn't fill again. I wonder if it could be what the good doc is talking about here.
*Edit: I am now at nr.3 and just straightening my posture helps.
Thank you Dr. Berg for all the valuable useful info ! my #1
My pleasure!
Thanks for this video - I was told by 2 GPs and a chemist I had an allergic reaction - expensive allergy test of 300 different substances all negative! I think it is one of the issues mentioned in this video.
what is the test and lab that done them
@@Jerry-zx7rf I am in the UK - it was the ALEX assessment which is apparently quite new - not cheap but very broad; this was via a private GP btw my nhs GP had never heard of it

Some of the other Dr Berg’s videos /articles on breathing issues may help with more data.
Dr. Berg talked about hair breakage and the breakage reaching the roots. What is the solution? He talked about the cause of coarse hair, split ends, and frizz. He talked about the large pores on the face, soft pimples on the face called pimples, milia under the eyes, and soft pimples on the chin.
Funny, been talking to my GP about how bad my breathing is. I broke my back at T9 and said how tight and restricted it makes my in breath. She said there's no relationship between the spine and breathing! Thanks, now I know a name for the condition
Unbelievable!!!!!! I am beyond fed up with doctors and the entire medical industry at this point!!! Yet they think that they're above everyone else and so much smarter!

I have been suffering chronic dyspnea for two years, it all started after I took the covid vaccine (Pfizer) which caused to me a perimyocarditis and from that moment I live every single day with symptoms like chest pain, breathlessness, fatigue, weight to my chest, asthenia, etc. I am honestly very depressed because of this situation. I was young and perfectly healthy and I feel like my body was ruined permanently and without possibility of healing. I have tried many many things but nothing really seems to make a difference. Thank you so much dr Berg for the information you provided, I will try them. Greetings from Italy!
God still works miracles and I pray that you are one of them!
@@artandrea5348thank you, I really hope so. God bless you!
Dr Berg made videos to help with each of these symptoms and situations. Some won’t be on yt, as he said.
When I got myocarditis, I found that coq10 in high doses (over 250mg) got rid of the heavy chest feeling. A year and a half later, I have no pains. It takes a long time for the heart to heal. And it can only heal if you're avoiding anything that causes inflammation in the body. While at the same time correcting deficiencies. Magnesium at 1,000mg a day completely got rid of my ectopic beats and palpitations. And benfotiamine at 1,000 plus my finally got rid of my accelerated heart rate as well as shortness of breath. All about dosage. I was in your exact shoes for well over a year.
Take this with a grain of salt but I did this without medication. My doctor prescribed me Lisinopril which is made from snake venom. I wanted no part of that. Instead, I used nattokinase. My clot disappeared, blood pressure naturally stabilized & I can now drink coffee and exercise again.
I’ve had breathing issues but when I had my varicose veins fixed, my breathing issue disappeared! More blood flow to the heart now is my opinion. I’m very relieved.
Great 👍 thanks for sharing.
Thanks Dr. Berg🤗❤🙏

After a week of very high fever due to a viral infection I had shortness of breath, POTs, panic attacks and constant vibrations in my spine, thiamine hcl helped but the most helpful had been ttfd for me which is a disulphide derivative of thiamine. Dr. Berg please make a video on ttfd someday, it is life changing derivative of thiamine and it would be very helpful for a lot of people who are just suffering needlessly.
Good stufff!

Amazing I am plagued with this condition. I thought it was gas. I'm 50 years of age. I must change my diet. Thanks doc
Awesome! I know you become more aware of how food acts on the body after a few months. Thiamin levels are rarely tested by industry and I now take it 4x day and it has made a difference
If you see those long Chem trails coming out of Government Jets that spread out and fall to the ground and depletes the good oxygen and feeds our lungs with Aluminum. That also contributes to our clean air . Thanks...

You are so welcome!
Good topic.
I'm glad you liked this post.
Your experiences are surprising. As long as I've been watching you, I wouldn't have imagined the injuries you've sustained.
You carry yourself so well. That coach performed more of an assault on you than anything I can imagine. I'm guessing you were a good-looking young boy, and that triggered him. How bazaar.
Either way. you've spent your life finding ways to keep you fit and mobile. You are a wonderful role model to all who cross your path, Dr. Berg.
Has the stem cell therapy been positive? I hope so.
More than likely he wanted him to be alert and paying attention for football. Not likely he was triggered by looks or other boys would complain about being waysided. Most young people are attractive in their youth. Its why they say youth and beauty fade.
@cynthiacrawford6147 Anything is possible without knowing the facts, yet still to cause spinal injury in a 6th grader took it TOO FAR. Even if it was accidental, it has caused him a LIFETIME injury. I've never been one to defend the teacher first, as I've witnessed too much unjustified disparity against the powerless students.
It’s so funny how google adds additional information about Covid etc under Eric Bergs content and stating that they do so on videos who may have false information. Gotta love the effort.
So, I am 48 years old and always had this problem. Never in my life did any doctor tell me anything of this. Thank you Doctor Berg.
I can also share some things that worked for me. NUMBER 1: wean yourself off of sugar to having near 0.
Number 2:
Massage to drain your lymphatic system works wonders in giving relief from symptoms. So, learn about the act of massage on your glands under your jaw line, these glands are responsible for drainage. You can locate them by feeling for what should feel like a large olive on either side under your jawline. If you massage them in circular motion for a count of around 40/ then take fingers and gently- but firmly pull down from those olive-shaped gland down to the breast bone (if you don't know it; that is the bone that kind of shaped like a bow), do this for a count of 40 (again, gently but firmly) If it feels uncomfortable I'd just lessen the pressure. Then what I do is; I take the tips of my fingers, finding the soft spot just about the center of the sternum (the little hollowed out area) & gently poke fingers into that area all across to the end of your breast bone and back again. ****This actually works.
If you do this and let yourself relax, perhaps listen to something peaceful while you do it. Healing your body is very much connected to healing your spirit, your emotions.
Number 3: This is what I have used. You have to do your own research to see what you think you can tolerate. I use Black castor oil wraps on my neck at night. Again, you have to decide for yourself. All I can tell you is that it worked for me. Best to you.
Thankyou very much for your videos God bless you and Jesus Christ be with you ❤
How do you know he believes in God? Take your preaching to church.
Very glad to be of help.
Thanks dr berg

HELP!! I'm 61 years old. I do everything in the book, and I mean everything (even the icy shower!), Omad (20-4), strict keto, no stress, sleep well, I work out 5 times a week (TRX), supplements and yes, I have gained muscles but in the last year, gained 20 pounds! I will try to go back to 3 meals a day and see the effects. I want to get rid of my stubborn belly fat. I fixed my Airhunger but the problem is I took a lot of things but I dont know what helped. So everyone with Airhunger I would recommend to try following things:
- High doses Thiamin HCL 1000mg per day
- Soil Based Probiotic with Bacillus Subtillis, Coagulans and clausii
- Schüssler salt numbers 7 and 2 (Cacliumphosphoricum and Magensiumphosphoricum)
- NAC 600mg
Thanks
Thank you Dr Berg. Sometimes I like to watch these, even if they aren’t my current symptoms. I like to help others. But I got yelled at by the doctor the other day when I questioned the doctor. Thankfully she was a fill in doctor and my mother asked to not see that MD ever again. But we should be allowed to ask for clarification
Definitely 😯

In point 👌🏻 I'm suffering
In my case potassium is the culprit but it is always relative and inherent to the condition indicated by Doctor Berg: in alkalosis potassium drops so it is normal to have air hunger and other symptoms of hypokalemia
I had alkalalosis for years and couldn't find a doctor that knew or cared. I have Hashimoto's and 2 days after completely stoping gluten my alkalosis reversed. Getting my friend off gluten helped my diabetic friend also.
Thank you so much doc!! 🙏🙏🙏It’s an eye opener.. I suffered from asthma earlier in my childhood days but.., these days.., I am not having it but, I am feeling that I am often devoid of oxygen.. specially when I go to sleep..It scary now. Will check with a doctor.
No problem. Glad to share this video.
I'm finding lowe iron has been the driver around feeling "air starved". Been taking iron fumerate for that on an empty stomach. The empty stomach was important for me to assimilate the iron as well as using some ascorbic acid in that solution.
Dr Berg’s videos /articles on iron supplements and on true vitamin c compared with ascorbic acid issues may be of interest.
WOW! 😮, Doc is rider too.
Does anyone know what's doc favorite bike type?
Can u consume bitter melon on keto & if ? I checked your acceptable food list and it wasn’t on there, I’m curious as to if it was just forgotten because it seems like bitter melon would have low sugar.
I have a bad cough and the Dr's say I have a post nasal drip and acid reflux. But if I talk Prilosec I get heartburn. I guess I thought I didn't have feflux, but maybe its silent? Also, I tend to be a mouth breather. I take allergy meds everyday and if I don't take the allergy med, I get nauseous. I have been told many many years ago I had an ulcer and or gastritis. I think I might be trying the wheatgrass, how long?
Hi, I talk all the way through my yoga classes and I do breathing exercises no problem but when I'm walking up hill I'm really out of breath. People with me on a walk are like, what's up? I'm fine I'm just really breathing hard. I can keep going and I recover quickly. Just don't know why this is particularly since I'm never fighting for breath while teaching yoga flow...
Dr Eric please confirm is dates are acidic or alkaline. Also please tell me the effects after digestion
I have a mild version of this. It's worse in the mornings and like you described - when i exercise it's non existant, but when im sedetary i notice it a lot more.
