Nice to see younger generations appreciating the heritage of the Land Rover 👍👍👌

Great to see the young bucks working on the old beasts. This will keep the legends alive for many years to come.
    I like Torben’s beanie. 🤗Cheers. 👍🏻🙏🦘

Great stuff as always! I’m a recovering Land Rover victim myself, but got equally excited about the Mitsubishi Colt and Subaru XT photobombs in Torben’s pics at 11:27. I wonder if they’re still around?

I shall ask. Also a reminder to link to his website in the description. A man of many talents.

Not only more personality but a better truck. I drove both in the mountains of NZ & the Landie was far superior to the Landcruiser. Much more connected to the terrain & sure footed, where as the LandCruiser felt top heavy & vague, & I never felt safe !

erm.....I used to run a 300 TDI for ages and after that still running a Troopy HZJ75. Both great cars with loads of personality but have a guess why the Landy had to go......

Maybe you can be more specific? There simply is no such thing as THE Land Rover and THE Land Cruiser. To know the different models in the cruiser world alone need years of research and a lot of memory in your brain.
I know a guy who converted to the Toyota church three years ago. Came from a Series 3 to an 1985 MWB BJ73 (3.4l diesel, leaf sprung, all manual except for power brakes and steering). He was just sick and tired of all the fixing needed to keep the rover running and wanted the parking spot dry for at least a few weeks. I myself got me a shitty 1989 SWB BJ70 (3.4l diesel, leaf sprung, all manual except for power brakes and steering) 20 years ago. It was a lot of fixing for a lot of money but once fixed they will keep running and be leak free for a long time (maintanence like greasing all the nipples etc. aside).
On the other hand i am craving a D1 300tdi for a couple of months now. It would fit my daily needs way better (just a little bit more room and comfort for traveling europe and to work and anti lock brakes for the bad weather).

@@t0nit04 It is quite easy: If you prefer to work underneath your car, you should go for a Land Rover Defender or even a Series Land Rover. If you are more into driving, go for a Troopy.... :p Both have loads of personality. I know that 'cause I have owned both of 'em for ages !

Nothing to discuss . Japanese 4x4 vehicles are characterless and boring.
