This is my build video for the Eduard 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109 E3, Weekend Edition. The aircraft is depicted as Josef Prillers aircraft in the Autumn of 1940.
The kit goes together without problem and made for a quick and easy build allowing the modeller to focus on painting and weathering.

When I was a kid. Early teenager. I built a 109 African paint scheme with brushes 1/32. No masking or any after finishing things. It turned out so good. I wanna do it again ! Soon. Enjoy your builds. Tks. Inspired.
Great video Jason and a super result, Prillers would be proud! Cheers :)
Nice build, like the tip about pink, will give it a go when I do my 109
Great job editing the video. It came together nicely. Nice build
Great stuff all round Jason. I love this video and I’m naturally gonna nick some ideas 😉
lovely clean build nice 109 I'm building the g10 at the minute with the brassin engine
Nicely done, thank you.
Great finish! Really nice result and interesting to see it with the alternate extended yellow cowling interpretation. Congrats
Thanks, yes finally got it posted, glad you like 👍
Love your star tape. Oh and the Emil is nice too.
Well done mate. I love it.
Good looking build.
Lovely job
Отличная работа!!!
Muy buen trabajo en todo en general!! Excelente camuflaje!! lo que me falta es un lavado a oleo siena tostada para remarcar los paneles
Nicly Done Buddy 😊👍
I'm a relative newcomer to Eduard having just built the Spitfire 1A and I have to say that I was impressed by the detail and precision of this kit . Not so the ME 109 . I've only built the cockpit so far and already I'm on my guard for pitfalls . There just dosen't seem to be any thought given to how the parts fit together . Shallow indentations are everywhere instead of holes and locating pins which means you have to apply glue first and hope that you get the tiny parts positioned correctly first time lucky . It would be much better to be able to locate the parts dry and apply ultra thin glue afterwards . Looking ahead to the rest of the build , I'm very disappointed that there is no option to build the engine and guns and be able to install the cowling . I'll persevere with this kit but after that it's back to Tamiya I think . Oh , and those high gloss decals with the carrier film margins . Not everyone works to the regimented system of primer , colour , gloss coat and Matt coat applied in microns by airbrush . Tamiya decals applied using the Microscale system are much better in my experience .
Im looking forward to buy a Airbrush set myself. Can you tell me what Brand this is or where you got that ?
Such great detail to the body but very little weathering to that great bright yellow nose???
It was weathered but I didn’t go too mad on it
Didn't you forgot to paint the middle of the canopy?
I don’t think so, how do you mean?
What kind of paint are you using? Are they enamel?
I think he uses MRP which is lacquer paint👍
Eduard is very good but personally I think their kits are a bit overly detailed, overly complicated. I like detail but there's a point when you reach overkill.
I would agree with you to a point, they seem to be getting better but in this case if the engine causes build problems it may have been better as a separate option?
Sorry to use this a platform for my complaints but I've just about had it with this kit . There has been no thought whatsoever given to those who choose the closed cowling version . There is absolutely no way to accurately and securely fit the engine and now I have realized that I was supposed to have fitted all the exhaust stubs before joining the fuselage halves . I'm seriously thinking of chucking it away . If there ONE issue locating the wings it's going in the bin and I'm buying a Tamiya 109 .
If you followed the instructions correctly, you’d have not found yourself in any of these problems. It’s all clearly represented in the instruction sheet.
More woes with this build . If I choose to have the closed cowling , there dosen't seem to be any way of securing the engine so that I can fit the propeller . I'm really disappointed with this kit .
