Broken and Sagging Door Hinges - FIXED! | 1965 Dodge Coronet 500

  • I was not able to align my Driver side door and what I discovered was a broken door hinge. After welding it back up, I decided to drill out and install new bushings into the lower hinge.
    The lower hinges had been shimmed up with washers and I decided that was not going to be my long term solution. So I cut some shims from 16 gauge steel and slid them in.

    Man the door adjustment progress is usually a pain but you got them looking pretty close.

      It's really not that bad, as I have discovered. It's certainly a lot easier with a door shell vs a completed door.

    Yeah, that whole process gets a lot dicier when dealing with a finished car - in tighter quarters - by yourself..
