(thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
Many years ago myself and about 30 other big bike enthusiasts were riding along looking for a “phone box” (pre mobile days) and as we pulled into a lay by just as a big red 4 litre jaguar was hurriedly pulling out. As I myself stepped into the box I saw the guy had left wallet with a large amount of hard cash, so we decided it was going to be fun to run him down to return his cash and what a farce that ended up being. He thought we were out to rob or kill him😂😂
Eventually he screeched to a halt at a police station and ran in claiming he was being “hunted by “hells angels” only for us to walk in with his wallet trying to return it. 😂

My husband lost his wallet at our sons H.S. Grad and we were lucky enough that a person who found it called and we got it back and she happened to live in our neighborhood.
Totally respect your honesty, I found a solid gold and diamond bracelet on stairs of stage play, handed it in, saw husband come in frantic, told him I found it, he was ecstatic and relieved, very rewarding to do this.
Cathy is going to be in sooo much trouble, first you lose your wallet and then a half naked man comes calling on you, hahaha

I shall not tell you the value of a ring I lost on a resort ski area. But 2 yrs later I put on old gloves. it was in it. I’m still a lil cry baby thinking of it. It surprises me how few people offer to reward you after you have found their ring: (while i know you don't do it for money of course). If i was in that situation, with an irreplaceable ring, totally irrecoverable without a detector, and a kind detectorist found it for me using his time, experience and expensive kit: I would not hesitate to offer him at least Australian $50 afterwards and probably substantially more if it was a valuable ring.

Great work mate! Some of these comments just go to show you can never please everyone! I think you went above and beyond picking the wallet off the road, driving all the way to the persons place and handing it back to the persons husband. Yet people are saying apparently you should have sat and waited for the actual lady to arrive. Well personally I think you did way more than enough, infact a lot of people would have ripped the cash from the wallet and just tossed the rest in a garbage can.
So honourable of you to return the wallet. Nice to see that there are still some honest people in the world. I hope Cathy/Kathy contacted you to say thank you.
I hate to be distrustful of anyone Michael but how can you tell if someone is just playing you and really haven’t lost anything and just wasting your time. Your success rate is so great so when you are unable to locate a lost item I tend to get very suspicious and his face was not on camera for some reason. Anyway, I do hope it is a legitimate loss and you locate his ring eventually.

Wallet in road and flying dollars on the ground returned to young woman at her home.
Declined reward offered and said, person returned mine which jumped off of my motorcycle in front of them.
Feels good to relieve people of their loss stress.

Just happened upon your video's. You got me hooked. Margaret was so cute when you found her ring. Loved the multi tasking husband Peter. Maybe a little camera shy or has done this rodeo before. Don't underestimate lightning. There was a guy in Fort Lauderdale on nice sunny beach with hundred of others. A dark cloud miles off shore shot lightning towards the shore and struck him. Maybe a freak event but I never stayed on the beach after that when a storm cloud was off shore. Your a good soul. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing.

i love watching these. kind hearted people helping others. i have lost things before so i know that they going through. my oldest son recently lost his class ring in parking lot of a wal mart. he keeps checking with lost and found but nothing. i will have to order him a new one.

Usually I trace where I’ve gone when losing something and get VERY frustrated when someone picks it up before I get back to it. It’s nice to see an honest person ALWAYS though. What if Catherine didn't want her husband to know she had this money????????????????? Margaret's ring, well done. I had a ring fall of my finger when I took it off my ring finger because the knuckle had swollen, I put it on my little finger and read a newspaper on the verandah. I heard a clatter later when I stood up and only realised what had happened some time afterwards. I think the ring had fallen through the gap in decking planks. I borrowed a friends metal detector but couldn't find it. 20 years ago it was valued at $1000.

Found a purse like that one day and when I arrived at the ladies house she was Irate and wanted to know "how in the hell I got it". Sometimes it does not pay to do the right thing. She must have left it on top of her car and it it fell off during travel. Great underwater videos. Your hunting a more predictive beach than I. Good hunting.
