- So many cut-off wheels! I picked up these sweet trail gear beadlocks with 37s for pretty cheap and now its time to stuff them in the wheel wells!

I did a body lift and suspension lift to stuff the 40s on mine
3 inch body lift helps I have 40s on my 97 limited 4x4
Build is looking sick already. Can’t wait for the 42s!
Body lifts are pretty easy on these 3rd gens just need a Steering shaft extension spacer and the body lift spacers
enjoy the 3rd gen build video a lot of work went into stuffing 37 underneath that 4runner might as well do a sas swap, if you rock crawl your gonna snap those cvs like toothpicks
That’s the plan!! We’ll take you guys along as we show you just how fragile the stock front axles are 😂
Best guide to DIY, I wasn’t confident to do it but after watching all the videos i took on the task and followed through the same cuts as close as i can get and managed to complete it, all thanks to you !!!🤙
Awesome!

Gotta tuck the front fender well tubs
Looks beastly love the wheels bro
Really enjoy your content, one of my favorite off road channels. Keep it up! Also cant wait to see how the 4 runner does off road.
Hey thanks my man! I really appreciate that! I can already tell this thing it gonna crush it off road
i dig the videos. next time you do a tub job up front make sure to take both bumpstops off the LCA so you can cut to mechanical bind rather than bump. theres quite a bit of deflection going on when wheeling! it was a heffer with my 37s but it definitely saves the annoying rub sound on the trail
Oh brother, looks killer and love the music
Thanks my man!
Awesome 👏🏻
Looking ace 👍🏻
Dam that runner looks badass
Thanks bud!
@@MechanicalAdventures your welcome. I am new to your channel nice content bro
You dont have weld . Just get the inner piece as close to the body panel as you can and fill the gap with windshield urethane. It creates a solid bond between the two pieces and no damage to the body paint.
Looks rad bro!
Thanks my man
That’s ridiculous and badass! As always right?
2 inch Body left Would have been fairly cheap and helped out the situation a lot, I would still do it It would look a hell of a lot better too
like how he went hard first. He inspired me to give this a try
Subbed, this thing is sick. You're giving me lots of ideas for mine lol.
Thanks!
love these vids got me wishing on 35s but mine rubs with 285/75s😢
Definitely respect the grind! Liked and subbed!
Thank you!
I got 37 x 13.50 toyo MT to fit on my 3rd gen, had to do a he'll of alot more cutting as well as relocate both front body mounts (still havnt quite figured this part out yet lol) also my rear axel seems to be much further forward than yours as have to cut into me rear doors to make room for the tires at bump
Epic!
What lift are you running? Did I miss you mentioning that? Offset to wheels? I bought a 3rd gen that “needed a new motor” and it ended up being a MAF and knock sensor. Got $1500 in it and absolutely want to go this route to keep it “cheaper” lol
why not do all the tubing with a brand new 37 rather than a worn down one? Keep it up though! Can't wait to see this thing put through the ringer
Don’t bring all that logical and common sense over here! I did what I did and I’ll pay for it later! Haha
@@MechanicalAdventures haha fair enough. Either way I'm here for the end result and wheeling carnage
@@ianlennox4633 of which there shall be plenty!
What mig wire / settings did you use for the rear? (I am terrible welding thin metal) I just got my 37 on, but since I have a solid axle the amount of cutting I had to do in the front was a lot less. The rear on the other hand needs some work.
My welder has a sort of guide for metal thickness/wire thickness. I don’t think the numbers would translate unless you had my exact welder, but I’m running .030 wire and almost the lowest settings possible. .030 is MUCH better than .035 for welding thin sheet metal like this.
How does the motor and transmission hold up to the 37s ? Is she super slow ?
Mannnn I love this ! NEW SUB HERE keep it moving!!
Thanks my man! No end in sight!
Great vid series. What solution did you go with to close up the holes left behind from the trim? I want to rip my limited trim off but want a solution before I do. :)
What gear ratio did you change too to pull those big A tires
Nice work. Will you swap in a solid axle up front ?
Yessir, the plan is 1 tons and 40s/42s in the near future. Just gonna have a little fun with it as is
Dig the channel !!
What axle gears are u running in ur old pickup ?
Thanks my man! Pickup has 5.29s and dual stock 2.28 transfer cases with manual trans. 4runner will get 5.29s with one 2.28 trans case but automatic which should help. Both on 37s at the moment
@@MechanicalAdventures
Hell ya
I also have a old pickup and a 3rd gen runner
Debating 5.29s because everyone says there weak but I'm guna go for it anyways
So based off your experience how much trimming would I be looking at with 33s on stock suspension
Where in Cali?

In today’s used vehicle market and everyone is a overlander… you just raised the value of this 4Runner by $6,000! you watch put it up for 6k it will sell. Hahaha.
I know it! Haha
Damn man you could charge people 200 to 300 bucks to do that that's awesome
about those tires, the treads seem quite a bit worn, are you gonna be able to fit new 37s once these one are fully worn, there's not much clearance at the front full lock?
You’ll just have to watch and find out 😅
@@MechanicalAdventures well I did, these are some tight clearance but if it work it work.
What happens when you buy new tires?
We’ll find out in about a week 😅
I have a 2000 4runner and I would never ruin it by doing all this cutting of fenders, why not just put slightly smaller tires on it
What’s the lift on your rig? I’m currently on 33 but I’m thinking of going to 35 or 37
1.5-2” max. All cutting/welding. I have a little blurb at the end of the video explaining what it takes to run 37s
@@MechanicalAdventures I have a 95 Toyota 4Runner 3.4 swap with a 6 inch lift.. do you think 37 will fit?
@@Bass_and_beyond_fishing not without cutting if you plan on going offroad. It might be ok to go through the drive through though
@@MechanicalAdventures so it’s safe to say to stick to 35 then? And once in a while I go off roading to lytle creek.
@@Bass_and_beyond_fishing I think you’ll even have to trim with 35s but I can’t say for sure, test fit it a good way to go
Please do mine.
Gonna be a while before I tackle something like that again 😂
what the hell were u thinking cutting up like that?
Just doing what I gotta do my man
@@MechanicalAdventures That is way too much work to be putting on 37.
Shoot just wait till you see the next video
Hmmmm...my wife drives a 98 runner...37s you say...hmmm
Nothin’ to it 😅
unnecessary, I don't see it well
