I wonder at what point the writers had so many bad ideas for Queen's Gambit sketches that they realized that THAT was the sketch all along?
I want to see Anya playing chess with Borat.
Let's just be happy they went with this.
I wouldn't be shocked if it was like a whiteboard meeting where they just brainstormed ideas (and you write all down regardless of quality) and it just became a competition to see how bad they could make one. At the end they just decided that was funnier than actually making any.
The sketch was the bad ideas we had along the way.

Genius love a good bit of self aware humor from the cast/writers, it can be hard to come up with amazingly unique sketch ideas every week for a person you've never met, sometimes it's gotta be borat queen's gambit!

I was not prepared for how funny this skit was.
i know this is not the point of this skit and i dont wanna make things "political" but it makes me feel somehow proud that there are so many great women, comedians and actresses in this skit. and theyre all funny and talented and represented!
This shouldn't be taken as a political statement. I'm glad acting and the comedic arts have come this far. There used to be so many more male actors and comedians than female ones.
If you want the best talents from all of humanity, then you need politics. Without politics, we only get the contributions of white men. Sorry, i don't make the rules. Been that way since before I was born.
