- This has got to be one of my favorite mods I have done to my C5 Corvette so far! The C5 Corvette is a very attractive car, but the factory DRL's just weren't that great to look at. Thanks to SharpLight Innovations today I am installing this complete DRL Upgrade Package in the Corvette. sharplightinnovations.com/sho...
These lights feature an illuminated LED strip, clear and chrome lense, and switchback LED bulbs able to glow both white and orange once the turn signal is activated. MAN do they change the look of the front of the Corvette, as well as the functionality! These things are BRIGHT! Especially with the added SharpLight Innovations LED Fog Lights; shorturl.at/agHVY

I'm love the upgrades your making to this car. I really love the C5 and these touches are just great. I was looking for one myself back in January and stumbled upon a clean C6 base model for 10k so i'm working on doing a lot of the same things your doing on that platform. Happy Corvetting!

After the C2 it’s the C4. Then the C5
personally i prefer the look of the C3 stingray then the C5.
not that big of a fan of the C2 or 4 they are both ugly as fuck to me

Looks great, these and the Halo led tail lights are must when upgrading the lights. I change my corner lights out from the top rather than going through the bottom. I find its much easier that way..

That would be it’s daddy,the 2012 would not exist if the C5 didn’t come first.

🔥🔥🏁 you were under the car I could see your suspension it looks pretty easy to work on lower control arm upper control arm swaybar links swaybar bushings and your wheel hubs looks pretty easy to work on
I've been following your channel for awhile now and it's very cool to see the difference in your car from now to it's humble beginnings.. I'm currently in the process of looking into corner lights for mine and wondering if you've got any remarks or thoughts about the later style from VetteLights and if you'd consider a change to that style.. I love the way your car has turned out and I've actually just picked up a set of the same wheels as yours.
word to the wise, you might want to throw a clear sheet of Lamin-X over those to keep them looking fresh. The corner lights are down really low and get sandblasted by road debris really quickly, so they'll yellow and fog up quickly if they're not protected
So how do the original cornel lights avoid this from happening?

My favorite part was the circular tire marks on the pavement of the lot you demoed the finished product in.
That led light on the driver front is why you had that hyper flash and probably why one side was brighter than the other
I just did this to my C5 yesterday. Odd. Never the less, I pulled the one bolt and the the two screws and left the bracket in the bumper. It was easier. Still a little work, but I suspect easier. Nice work, however. My hands are smaller so maybe that helped;)
Went with the switch back LEDs for now because 40 dollars totally mod cost but I am interested in these for sure
where does the hyper flash harness go?
What color is this on the exterior of the vehicle. Is this quick silver or the Light Pewter Metallic Exterior

Looking at the company’s website, is your main bulb the cree switchback, marker bulb amber or white? I know you added the led upgrade, but did you need the white drl harness?
Please help! I installed these DRLs form Sharp Light Innovations and they look great, but... The hazards are hyperflashing (not the turn signals). I contacted Sharp Light Innovations and was told that "the hazard flasher is not linked to the same circuit as the turn signal so the hyperflash harness has no effect on it." However, at the end of your video you have your hazards on and they are NOT hyperflashing. How did you do this?
A little confused - are they amber or clear or both? Really want to do this to my C5.
My corvette is the same color. Love the look of the bright white and then amber for the turn signals. How do I find that same look for mine .

@drivehub I have been shopping for a c5 for a couple of months and found an automatic that looks just like your car.
I have had it a month and plan to spend about 4 k in upgrades in the next few months. The double din was first and the lights are my next purchase for it.
Can you also remove the headlight cover and pop open the headlights and work that way instead of jacking the car up
Your fantastic video prompted me to buy these..... can I give you some advice for any future videos? as a mechanic for the past 30+ years, I recommend you purchase some Milwaukee battery operated tools instead of using the standard 1/4 inch socket ratchet...... watching you manually use that ratchet was painful.
Can you please tell me the complete package you installed? I'm looking to get these for my car. Did you get the LED strip upgrade and the white DLR harness? Or the standard package?

At 13:52 it looks like your driver side led fog light was not working. The turn signal upgrade on your C5 looks pretty good! One thing that I have been meaning to tell you... PLEASE work on your SOUND EDITING! The music is so LOUD! Then when you speak, we can hardly make out what you are saying, because your voice volume is extremely low! You need to stabilize the sound volume throughout your video. It's a real PITA to watch your videos and I really do enjoy them! Just food for thought... Thumbs up from me as usual... Stay safe... how did you turn own fog lights without the pop up lights coming up
Just turn on the park lights without turning the headlights on. Only one click, not 2 and then make sure your fog lights are turned on also....
@@c5grapeape My C5 had the same issue. Just turning the parking lights on would cause the headlights to pop up. I discovered that is related to the grinding gear in the headlight motor. Once I replaced the plastic gear in the headlight motor with a brass gear, the parking lights can now be switched on without the headlights popping up.
I didn't know the two issues were related. Somehow, the electronics are designed to pop the headlights up if the headlights take too long to close.

I had a c5 2002 electron blue vette that I cloned into a grand sport.I added the zo6 brake ducks & put silver fender stripes & newer bigger chrome off an 09.corsa exhaust ,cold air intake 80 mm.throttle body & tuning .about 360 rwhp.cross drilled rotors w / red been to cal.I like the lights on yours.I also went w/clear door & fixed hei halo headlights.over 9$$k in receips. Miss it so much
