    It would be good if you point out that the black heat-shrink you use to repair the cables with is called "Dual-wall", which has an inner coating of glue. It stops the heat-shrink from coming off later and also gives a certain level of water-resistance.

    • @alloydog613

      If you look closely at the first project, where he repairs the iPhone cable, there is glue coming out of ends of the heat-shrink.
      This type of heat-shrink is called "Dual-wall" (daft name, I know...)
      He really should have pointed this out.
      As far asd I am aware, you can only get it in black, but it is only one to use when repairing broken cables and also if you need a water-resistant seal.

    • @martinkuliza
      @martinkuliza Před 3 lety +1

      You've got to be kidding, right ?
      Heat shrink.... boss level LMFAO ROFL
      mate, i was fucking playing with heat shrink when i was 8, ok, i'm 47.
      an idiot knows how to put heatshrink on a cable
      Yes.. it adds strength to the cable, i agree
      but , he shouldn't be making it out like it's a big deal.
      it's the equivalent of using sticky tape to tape 2 pieces of paper together and calling it a life hack.
      there is nothing impressive about using heat shrink
      as for the (i'ts not a charger by the way , IT'S A TRANSFORMER)
      see at 13:03
      the blue thing in the middle with the yellow tape.....THAT'S A TRANSFORMER.
      what the whole thing does is
      NOT CHARGING..
      it's job is
      1. TO TAKE THE HIGH LEVEL MAINS VOLTAGE
      2. TRANSOFRM it to a lower voltage, SO... your iphone doesn't fucking blow up
      it's a transformer , not a charger
      Now... Granted that it also doesn't take a genius to find the solder points where the mains power comes to on a circuit board
      then to desolder the joint
      then re solder it
      THAT'S EASY
      THE MORE PRESSING MATTER IS
      What if you kill yourself in the process
      AGAIN..... Transformer.. Remember ?
      on the primary side it has voltage that CAN KILL YOU
      at best, Give you a very fucking nasty shock
      also.. not every plug pack has screws by which you can open it .
      most are designed NOT TO BE OPENED for obvious reasons
      This is an easy task to perform
      not boss level by anymeans
      but.. UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME BASIC ELECTRICAL OR ELECTRONICS TRAINING, You shouldn't really do this stuff, because you can hurt yourself pretty badly
      there is nothing highly impressive about what this guy is doing. OK

      I always tell people not to try the car hack ones because it creates more work for me when they do it and it becomes my problem to fix. "Hey uhh my car won't start" well yeah because you put crimp splices on your battery leads and burned through them. I honestly think these channels are some of the most dangerous things on CZcams because they instill this false confidence in hipsters who couldn't be trusted to operate a hacksaw safely. Telling people to fuck with a transformers without any sort of disclaimer ought to be grounds for a manslaughter charge.

    • @martinkuliza
      @martinkuliza Před 3 lety +1

      @@jacobg5122
      i agree
      i mean, THE LAMEN INDIVIDUAL is obviously in it to save money, and.. that's fine
      but as you know they don't realize the potential danger
      NOR DO THEY HAVE THE EXPERIENCE to identify the risk and danger, Making it more dangerous.
      sometimes these you tube video's can teach people a few things and it's not dangerous
      then other times they teach them stupid shit like........ Open a battery when you battery is dead because a standard battery contains smaller batteries inside
      LOL
      ummmmm.
      yeah...... No... not always
      and then you ...... some batteries actually have more than one circuit
      then you have .... it might explode in your hand if you do something wrong
      i remember one way back
      it was something like...
      How to start a fire in the bush with a battery, BY PULLING IT APART
      and basically shorting the terminals
      well yeah...
      How about.... How to kill yourself with a battery or blow off a finger
      LOL
      then a few years back you had you tube videos doing shit like...
      I'm going to put my Iphone 3 into boiling oil and ..... SEE WHAT HAPPENS
      Riiiiigght
      like... we couldn't already probably guess
      and my favourite part was
      THEY WERE ACTUALLY SUPRISED WHEN THE PHONE START FUMING OUT BLACK SMOKE AND BURSTING INTO FLAMES
      LOL
      some people are just fucking stupid
      other's don't know any better
      but.. You're right , channels like this should take responsibility for shit they do

    If you solder those battery connectors to the wire, the connections will work better, last longer and be much more dependable than just crimping them.

    Ciao Daniele,
    Per il consiglio n.3 c'è un metodo più veloce,meno invasivo ed altrettanto efficace.
    Cortocircutare il bottone del telecomando che interessa per l'apertura del cancello, portare fuori solo i 2 fili dell'alimentazione e metterli in parallelo all'abbagliante ad esempio.
    In questo modo non devi forare nulla nella moto.
    Ciao Daniele, grazie e continua così....vai alla grande!

    It is a mistake to replace a liquid-based battery with a Li-Mh without adding a protection circuit. It will go on fire if you charge it too much or discharge it too fast.

      the mistake is having replaced a high inrush current battery with a deep discharge one. the connectors are different and smaller precisely because they must not conduct large currents.

    La batteria al piombo gel però va caricata diversamente da una batteria da scooter, non durerà molto. Poi costano 30 euro le batterie e durano un bel pó, nemmeno per perdere 1 ora di tempo a fare quel casino.....
    Scusa poi perché distruggere quelle cuffie per rifarne altre? il tuo canale è interessantissimo e fai bei progetti, ma questo video non mi è piaciuto particolarmente ad essere onesti...

    • @DanieleTartaglia
      @DanieleTartaglia  Před 4 lety +2

      Ho quella batteria da quasi 4 anni e uso sempre lo scooter, sia estate che inverno. Mi ricaricata e mai dato problemi, come gia detto, in 4 anni. Le cuffie che ho rotto le ho pagate 8 euro perché il cliente le aveva riconsegnate e la scatola era danneggiata. Il venditore me le ha praticamente regalate, ma il messaggio non era: mettete quelle cuffie, ma qualsiasi modello. Quelle sono soluzioni che ho fatto per me perché le trovo utili e l ho condivise, ma non contesto sul fatto che a te non siano piaciute, ci mancherebbe, il mondo è bello perché è vario 😉

    • @justasniper83
      @justasniper83 Před 4 lety +1

      Daniele Tartaglia per carità di Dio, il mondo è bello perché è vario e le critiche se ben strutturate e accolte servono a crescere.
      Che tu usi la batteria in maniera pedestre e che questa funzioni, non vuol dire nulla.
      www.motoclub-tingavert.it/t369082s.html
      Una delle tante discussioni in merito. Non dire che “siccome lo faccio io, non sbaglio”. Ti durerà pure, ma è sbagliato l’utilizzo. Poi ripeto: per me perdere un’ora di tempo non vale una differenza di 15 euro di batteria specifica per scooter.
      Per le cuffie, sarò stupido io ma non ho capito la loro utilità. Le cuffie da lavoro servono per lavorare, ascoltarci musica mentre lavori può essere molto pericoloso.
      Ripeto: fai tanti bei video molto interessanti e i tuoi progetti mi piacciono e li apprezzo, ma questo video mi sembra non a livello degli altri, come se fosse fatto tanto per farlo. Insomma, una ciofeca.
      Mia opinione personale... ovviamente.

    • @DanieleTartaglia
      @DanieleTartaglia  Před 4 lety +2

      @@justasniper83 e la rispetto moltissimo, e ti dirò, per me questo non è un commento negativo anzi...Allora, non posso sempre essere al top perchè per essere al top con i progetti non è facile ma soprattutto, anche fare video sempre azzeccati non è semplice e poi abitui le persone a quel livello che poi non darà più nulla. Faccio queste compilation perchè sono fuori Italia e non voglio lasciare il canale inattivo e quindi, pubblico queste compilation dei miei vecchi video perchè se non pubblichi poi dovrai fare i conti con gli algoritmi delle SEO di youtube e tu non immagini quanto sia difficile e faticoso restare visibili. Sono d' accordo, quelle batterie non sono fatte per essere utilizzate in quel modo, ma io quella mattina di 4 anni fa dovevo andare a lavoro e avevo la batteria scarica. Smontai un vecchio ups e montai quella batteria ma solo per emergenza e andai al lavoro. la pigrizia mi ha portato poi a tenerla anche per la curiosità di vedere quanto sarebbe durata e guarda caso, anche se non è adatta, dopo 4 anni va ancora. Tantissime persone dopo il mio video hanno provato, colleghi compresi e hanno ottenuto il mio stesso risultato. Comunque sarebbe una soluzione da fare solo in emergenza infatti, l' ho scritto nel video originale. Per le cuffie, qua non sono d' accordo con te, o almeno in parte. Fare certi lavori, come per esempio picchettare tutto il giorno, un po di musica ti consente di lavorare meglio. Non capisco la pericolosità dal momento che, essendo antirumore, gia di suo ti isolano dai ruomori ambientali. Queso è un po cercare il pelo nel' uovo perchè io ho passato molti anni della mia vita a fare determinati tipi di lavoro che richiedevano quel tipo di cuffie e posso dirti che, se non hai a che fare con altre persone e sei solo tu, ascoltare un po di musica a basso volume, non è un pericolo anzi, ti fa lavorare con piu tranquillità ma ripeto, solo per determinati lavori. Per il resto, che il video sia una ciofeca che dirti, farò dei video più belli più avanti, anche perchè un video spettacolare dopo un video ciofeca sai che effetto che fa :-) grazie comunque.
