Wow this is lovely 🥰 may I suggest if the box was a inch or half inch deeper you could put some aqua soil in the bottom then some river sand witch is courser little bits of grit in it, then a few rooted plants to help filter, no cleaning just top ups, a little filter floss in with the pump or little sponge to also filter, it’s truly beautiful you’ve inspired me to do one I will add a couple of shrimp & snails too, rice fish look lovely I build eco systems from little jars up to tanks & loving it

@@mlakuaesmallgarden I also order plants off line sometimes we are limited in the aquarium shops too, I get a lot of plants from my local ponds & small rivers I get moss too but your plants are beautiful perfect for what you do 😊 love your work & appreciated thank you 🙏🏻❤️

Cool display, however that species of Cichlid grows to 6 inches. They are not a good choice for such small amount of water volume and won't survive long term.

@@ErinABark it's submersible 5v mini waterpump.. I bought them online.. its' size make them fun to play with small project...

Beautiful and creative idea! Just swap the fish for some smaller inhabitants like a couple shrimp and snails and you're good!
@@loricarlos606 initially I was going with shrimps or betta fish since they're well known to live well in small tank, however I don't have any of them yet...

How do you keep the moss hydrated in the long term?
@@rak3shpai the water level is quite close to the moss and the volcanic sand which is very porous will keep the moss well hydrated...

@@mlakuaesmallgarden Those are not betta fish though, and this is a clearly uncycled tank, the fish seemed stressed in the clear part. Could you post a video of how the fish are doing today??
