It really does seem that The Boys are on a losing battle.
- Frenchie is in jail.
- MM is beyond stressed to the point of having panic attacks.
- Annie's powers are fatigued.
- Hughie isn't mentally well after the death of his father and just being "smexualy" assaulted.
- Butcher is losing his sanity due to the effects of Temp V.
I feel that there's going to be a breaking point in the season finale where they realize they cannot win and disband. Each member goes on their separate ways.
Is it really sexual assault if Hughie was pretending to be the guy that consented? Tek and Ashley had every reason to believe he was Webweaver

What you experiece can really hurt you and you have all the right to feel bad for it, even if it is your mission. Beside, if Hughie has any idea what he will experience, he doesn't have any other way but to do it anyway, it's their only shot for the mission.

When Newman was talking to that old guy politician, about the women's body rejecting the pregnancy, the fucked up part was that's legit something a real politician said.
Pregnant women have gotten life-threatening health complications, due to being pregnant, only to literally be told they “aren’t sick enough” to get an abortion. They want the mother to be like be almost dead to justify it.🙄
The part about the politician refusing to be alone with women not his wife is also based on a real US politician.

i kinda love the deep becoming more of a threatening figure. I've already throw a redemption arc for him out the window, so it would be cool to see him go all villain. maybe even give him a scene where he does some cool but heinous things showcasing whatever powers he has other than strength. Being pathetic the whole show i think it would be interesting to see him become more of a threat to the boys, even if just for a short moment.
The deep overall is also really powerful
Ain't no way you wanted, or expected a redemption arc from someone who mouthed someone for them to get into the Seven, and then was sarcastic and insincere about it with apologies
@@Eh......... Yeah I Stopped having redemption faith for The Deep at the start of S3 but up until then he was definitely less of a monster to me than A-train was, considering A-tain talking about how he ran through some "bitch" and swallowed one of her molars.
In this show i have to be a little more lenient for our characters because in this universe, most our main characters are guilty of something horrendous (justified or not)

You tearing up over how bad you felt at laughing at Hughie's scenes in the Tekcave shows that you have a good heart. I understand how you feel by it but try not to let it get to you too much. You clearly have a good soul.
This is kind of on the writers. They dressed those scenes up as "comedy", because a man getting assaulted is funny right. The writers even said that they found those scenes hilarious.

Kimiko didn't even hesitate when saving Hughie. Starlight just stood there with her mouth catching flies while Kimiko instantly dropped kicked the dude.
I've seen so many people laugh at what was happening to Hughie without looking at it from his perspective. Ashley out right S A'd this man then made out with TK over his body like he wasn't even there. TK was pretty much about to r**e him and then let Homelander know he was down there and would of executed him. All this he had to endure while restrained. He is absolutely not ok. Yea i get that its just a show but if you are 4 seasons in you are totally invested in these characters. Thank you for realizing and expressing how fucked up he would be after that.

A lot of people don’t seem to get the “Jewish Space Lasers” joke. That was an actual thing that Marjorie Taylor Greene said. The writers have even said that Firecracker is partially based on her.
That abortion line from one of the guests was also an actual quote from a senate candidate, although that was a while back and thankfully he lost.
I watch a lot of react channels and you were the only one who really understood how traumatized Hughie was about what happened, u are amazing!

I'm worried that the news will pop up saying a man was saved by a speedster and they'll show MM. And the kids being so happy will say A-Train saved him. Unintentionally exposing him.
I'm 99% sure they're doing a sort of adaption of the last arcs of the comics.. wasnt sure before, I'm pretty much all-in now.
The show always needed a Supervillain - and Homelander isnt it - at the end of the day he's a powered emotionally stunted clown with mommy issues and theres not much else to it.
Butcher - with evil "Venom" riding shotgun trying to usher in the Superhuman version of the Holocaust.. that's on a different level entirely from anything we've seen thus far.
So, yeah.. it's not gonna please a lot of people - but I do believe thats where we're headed now.
And on another note.. I'm genuinely sick of the show making Hughie the whipping boy for every awful thing that happens on the show these days.. and it's gotten more and more ugly over the last season and a half.
I think Sage is just too proud to help humanity, and she adressed all humans, not just bad people. For her humans are too shalow and primitive
Not saying anything about you, but it is funny that the male being abused scene is a "laughing matter" until the moment he starts talking about it and crying.
Everyone laughed at it, but it just goes to show that mens pain is downplayed off the bat all the time.
I was abused, and I bet someone in the comments is going to call me incel and make fun of me for pointing out mens pain in a fit of rage for pointing them out for having weak morals, It's happened before a couple times.

I totally agree about the story lines. There are only 8 episodes per season. If they have time to go on all these tangents then you know they didn't have enough content for season 4.

She’s the smartest person in the world….she has the resources 😂. But that’s a real perspective…..she thinks what’s the point of doing good when people don’t want the good? And that’s true today lol. Most people don’t want good even though they claim they want a good life

The fight club plot for Butcher is such a cheap thing, they're pretty much wasting Jeffrey's talent by making him not into an actual character.
Sage's point is also not about just being a bitter person, she thinks humans don't deserve the effort. There's no reason for her to make the "greater good" when most people don't really care. Honestly, she's kinda right, if a cure for cancer was invented (or if it already was) the person behind it would either try to financially benefit out of it or save it for themselves.

Amazon is smart, they aren’t going to try to drag the show along for 10 seasons, kicking n screaming, until the show is hated. They are ending it quick, and moving on!
I had just watched the episode, and I thought it was wild. I’m on the same boat with ya too. I felt really bad laughing after seeing how affected Hughie was after the SA experience downstairs. I regret so much for taking light of that scene, as I thought it was just Boys being Boys. I should know better as I admit being one of those people who were also affected by the same horrible experiences.
On the other hand, I think this season is just as wild as it’s been. It just keeps getting crazier every singe fucking week.
Uk why you laughed? Cause anything that happens to men is most of the time considered funny, even sexual assault. Guaranteed if it was Annie and the exact same thing happened. Not only you wouldn't of laughed but there would be a protest to end the show now. Shame but thats reality
To be fair this show is pretty fucked up and the gigles are because of how the scene was presented, considering that is a comedy drama and has a lot of dark humour. If this was a real situation, then it would be horrifying for someone to laugh but it is a fiction show. I guess that is why they emphasized on hughie's crying to see how the public would react to it.

I agree with what you said about Sister Sage and the cure for Cancer. She could save millions of lives, but rather than push and fight to get her work out there, she just gave up because people are just animals and aren't worth it according to her. She's the smartest person on Earth, is she wanted to she should be able to find a way, but she just can't be bothered, it's ridiculous. She's a good character, but also an unlikeable jerk
she doesn’t care about those millions of lives though. she has a nihilistic viewpoint in regards to humans, and with all her knowledge of human history and how most of it is consistently awful, she believes it would be better with less people in the world.
this episode was a bit much for me. even though i am into some of the fetishes but seeing hughie in them was kind of uncomfortable...

I personally am loving this season. Except for the Frenchmen storyline.
People no longer have any patience for the actual story part of a storyline. Things are there for a reason.
And they don't have to. That's OK. The rest of us will appreciate it for everyone.

Writers got lost for sure
In less satirical heroes being actual heroes movies/TV shows parents will tell kids of the things they did to save people or the world but in the case of the boys that's not gonna happen. imagine mothers milk telling his kid I drug a mans behind to help make the world Better place or Hughie telling his kid I broke wind in a cake while someone watched me in pleasure to be closer to rid the world of monsters.
Sage is smart enough to exploit these people for their resources and use them to do good, except she's not a good person. In a sense, she's just like the people she despises - arrogant, selfish and lacking any empathy. She's smart, but not wise.
I just felt like skipping the whole episode, disgusting thing to watch
