Perfect timing as I recently got back into Planet Zoo, and am determined to finish my first ever Sandbox zoo! I am still learning how to build but I've been getting loads better with the building system and learnin which pieces go well together :)

Hi DeLady. In terms of best appeal/cost ratio the pygmy hippo, aldabra giant tortoise, binturong and chinese pangolin score really high (low costs, high appeal). There are better ones like the Arctic Fox and Red Panda, but they are less suited to a tropical zoo unless you build them indoors. There used to be a google sheet that calculated cost-effectiveness for all animals, which I have been updating for my own use. It's really useful for franchise zoo as having a lot of cost effective animals in your zoo helps with the finances.
Hey I'm sorry if someone already said this but you can fix the fence post heights from the tab on the right of the fence tool, there's a checkbox for "snap post heights" or something! This is the first zoo I'm seeing you build from the start and I'm so hyped ♥️

Thank you so much ❤️ I actually made a statement about that in a poll we did on the community wall: If we would do another Planet Zoo Franchise series, would you like me to include the footage of the speed build part of the habitat build in the video (just like we did with our Desert Franchise series, incl. time stamps in the description as an option to skip them) OR would you like me to just skip this part of the video completely? NOTE: To leave all the footage in the episode like "slow" building in a franchise let's play series is really not an option, as this would make the videos way too long and would cost a lot more time to edit. I know that especially new players, always ask me to do slow-building instead of making a speed build part, but for a series as a whole, for also many experienced players to watch, this is going to bore a lot of people over time, which won't do much good for the series in general over time 😊 So really hope you all understand that this is not an option ❤️
I loved the idea of you doing a new series in the franchise version, it's my favorite modality on planet zoo, I love the management part, and with your talent you will prove that we can have a beautiful zoo even with the limitations that this mode offers.
I really like seeing this as a different start (I've been watching your Grassland zoo franchise series), because I lack your amazing building skills so I like seeing some habitats on their "base" looking stage and then give me an idea on how to improve it while you go.
I must be weird for never using the "turn off animal needs" option in sandbox. Comes in super handy though because I know exactly what each animal needs off the top of my head by now.

For example, one time Rudi made a Japanese habitat and showed it in twilight light while raining and it was so incredibly beautiful! I don't know about others but I am more than okay to see you building in nighttime too!

I came across your channel a long time ago and I was really interested in Planet zoo, unfortunatly I didn't have the right PC to play planet zoo at the time. Now I Do and i bought the deluxe version without the dlc's last week and I am really enjoying the game so far. Still a lot to learn so I also subscribed to your channel! Gosh yes! We been wanting to play FS22 so badly the past few weeks, but things just turned out a bit unlucky, lol.. first John got a hernia, so he wasnt able to walk or even sit properly.. then also early access for the wetlands pack came.. so I got so busy with the pack, editing myself again and also cooking and cleaning the house as John wasnt able to do anything.. :( ❤️ and when he recovered from the hernia he got the flu, lol.. so past few weeks have been a mess.. but today he is able to get back into editing etc, so hopefully somewhere next week we are able to start recording FS22 again ❤️

Eeee! I'm so excited to see a brand new franchise from the very beginning. I have learned SO much watching your videos and taken lots of inspiration from how you do things. :) For the next animal, I suggest something like a Gharial. It has decent appeal and is pretty easy to please, while not being as expensive to take care of as one of the predatory mammals.
Yeay franchise mode!!! I started a new zoo as well yesterday lol! Here is a tip: lower the price of the staff that cost you 1100. It isn't much but it will save you some in the longrun!

love franchise mode, you kinda need to build a breeding zoo an are storage zoo for the best breed. found out you can stack habbitat with some road an terrain, an only need to build tree an stuff on one floor to make the animals happy in every happitat above/belove, my idea was a skyscraper(stoage) with wolf :P

Just found this series and seriously looking forward to catching up on all the vids so far! Just got back into Planet Zoo over the weekend and started a challenge zoo for something different to do and got super luck and got an albino European fallow deer for under $200 with decent stats so looking forward to building a habitat for him and some females to try and breed some lovely albinos to make them my zoo mascots! Your vids are greats inspiration so will be looking for some tips and tricks I can use when the time comes! Best of luck with your new franchise!

I'm worried you are going to go bankrupt with the rocks! I saw you pull them out for the hard shelter and winced - long time veiwer, we KNOW how you are with your rocks!! :D Looks great thought, a very barebones started but lovely ;) I think this my choice for the next one would be (ofcourse) Derpy Bongo faces! Also, might not be bad to toss up some of the little stand-alone exibit animals like the spiders to earn some money? Just tossing ideas! Can't wait to see where this goes.

When I start a new franchise, I usually buy a high quality young male African Lion with conservation credits for cheap (usually around 900-1000 CC), then sell it! Gives you some extra starter cash :) You’ll usually get $18k-$20k for one!

But I have known about your channel for a while, and I've seen some of your amazing building videos (years ago) but I just decided to start up this video because I am really into playing Franchise mode now. I was just interested in your ideas for Franchise mode and maybe see if there's some things I can incorporate into my own zoo! 😁 I also had no idea you are also from the Netherlands! I really couldn't tell from your accent haha.
If I may give an opinion, you could've combine Greater Flamingos with Hippopotamus and Nile Lechwe. "Doesn't benefit" doesn't mean it can't be combined.
I don’t think adding other animals with hippos are a great idea, they’ll literally murk any animals in their territory. I’ve seen a hippo attack a antelope stuck in mud cuz I guess it was breathing too loud, but hippos are best with other hippos, cuz no animal can take them on, the only animal I know that is big enough to show them who’s boss is the elephant, so yeah
I dont think this Flamingo habitat is big enough to combine it with any animal here 😄 but we definitely will be combining animals in the future in the zoo 😃
I love watching you start new because the thing I struggle the most with is planning out and building entrances

When I start a new franchise, I usually buy a high quality young male African Lion with conservation credits for cheap (usually around 900-1000 CC), then sell it! Gives you some extra starter cash :) You’ll usually get $18k-$20k for one!

But I have known about your channel for a while, and I've seen some of your amazing building videos (years ago) but I just decided to start up this video because I am really into playing Franchise mode now. I was just interested in your ideas for Franchise mode and maybe see if there's some things I can incorporate into my own zoo! 😁

If I may give an opinion, you could've combine Greater Flamingos with Hippopotamus and Nile Lechwe. "Doesn't benefit" doesn't mean it can't be combined.
Hippopotamuses are extremely es expensive as the first animal of a zoo...
I don’t think adding other animals with hippos are a great idea, they’ll literally murk any animals in their territory.
I’ve seen a hippo attack a antelope stuck in mud cuz I guess it was breathing too loud, but hippos are best with other hippos, cuz no animal can take them on, the only animal I know that is big enough to show them who’s boss is the elephant, so yeah
I dont think this Flamingo habitat is big enough to combine it with any animal here 😄 but we definitely will be combining animals in the future in the zoo 😃
